Has anyone eaten here recently? I'm trying to decide what TS meals to have and we havn't experienced dinner at the CP yet. We want to try something different than a character breakfast and get a good value using the basic DDP. Thanks in advance! :)

to me Crystal Palace is a great restaurant ...great atmosphere and the food was excellent......We have been twice this year....once in May and again in September.....hopefully we will be able to get a reservation for April as my SIL loves this place and it will be her birthday. Hope you give it a try.... the buffet has great options for everyones tastes..

it is one of the better buffets as far as food goes - also the character interaction is fun - they do a little parade with the kids

Hello, we (Me, DW, DS5 and DD8) ate here last March and did not find it that great at all. Food was sup-par and services was not good, waited forever to have plates cleared and the bill. I know it gets good reviews (that why we had picked it), but just did not do it for me. Remember that Chef Mickey and 1900 Park Fare are a quick monorail ride away and also offer caracter dining.

I go here every visit....love the atmosphere and the food is good.

We book a lunch or dinner every trip at CP. We are not on the DDP this trip but we have still booked dinner there. My kids can find lots of things they like and we have never had a bad meal there. Once in a while we find things we don't like but we always find something good to eat.

Remember just like regular restaurants WDW has hit or miss nights on restaurants too. It could depend on the cook that night, your server, crowds and so many variables. Overall WDW tries to control those things and make them the same day to day but it still happens. :)

We ate there many times but skipped a few years and went back this past Aug. The food was very good but the desserts were terrible. The one thing that really got to us was the craziness all around us, kids were running all over and the noise level was insane. This was probably because we ate at 6:30 and we usually eat there at 4pm when it is less hectic

Thanks for the info! I figured it would be chaotic as we have had breakfast there on our last two trips. For those who have been there recently - was the dinner offerings close to those listed on the menu on this site and all ears? Thanks,
Sarah

We felt this was the worst food we had ever eaten, yet some love it. We loved Chef Mickeys, but not CP. I do remember hoping to fill up on dessert and even they were crappy!
Its hard to say what another person will like though.

the menu is pretty much what you read......We love the prime rib and the salmon was so darn good.......for dessert I had the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream on top.......they had alot of desserts and fresh fruit cup up on the buffet and whole fruit on the dessert stand....

We eat there every trip, last time being last week, & found the food to be pretty good. Good variety & selections for the kids without forgetting that adults will be eating also. Our ADR was for 4:45 so it was busy but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hope you enjoy your trip!:)

I love CP dinner! It is one of my favorite places to eat.

We ate here in Jan 2008. I thought the food was very good considering it was a buffet. Also, you cannot beat the convenience. I would much rather eat in the parks instead of losing time traveling to a resort. :earsboy:

We were there in Sept., and honestly I think its excellent. I think Disney tends to do buffets very well and I am happy with the interesting selection at CP. I love the cold salads the best. I was actually happier with CP this year than with Le Cellier (prime rib was extremely tough).

We just ate there last Friday and we all loved it. I thought the shrimp were great.

CP is one of our must-do's for every trip. Sometimes we even eat both lunch and dinner there on different days in the same trip. The food is amazing, and the characters are great too! Definitely worth a visit!

I reviewed this in my TR if you'd like more detail.

In a nutshell, it's crowded and noisy but the food is good. I could give or take it.

Seeing Tigger was a big plus though :goodvibes
