First I have to say, we cancelled our trip because my sister has Luekemia and is not doing well. I don't regret the decision at all. But that being said, I am sad, and knew that here I would find people that got that!

I have had the 3 bedroom condo booked at Dolphins Cove for nearly 2 years. We were going with our bff's and taking my niece on her first trip. Sigh... Couldn't cancel the airfare. Couldn't find anyone to use the rent the condo.

Good news is, I brought my sis home from hospital today and she is doing a little better. Big blessing there!

Thanks for listening. If you know anyone that could use a condo Nov. 21-28th, let me know.

Its natural to feel let down and at having to cancel something you have planned and looked forward to for a long time. I am sorry to hear about your sisters health - I will send best wishes and positive thoughts for your family :flower3:. Disneyland will be there for you to help celebrate what I hope is a positive outcome for your sister in time pixiedust:

Hey, I remember you.

I'm really sorry to hear about your sister, but glad she's rallying!

I'm sorry to hear about your trip, too.

So sorry about your trip cancellation. Been there, done that -- it's never easy, even when you know it's the right thing to do. Please tell your sister that folks here are sending her positive thoughts. Glad you got to bring her home today. Here's hoping that when it happens, your next DLR trip will be extra magical!

I'm sorry about the trip.

But I'm glad your sister is making progress. I hope she keeps getting better.

Hugs!! Sorry to hear that but glad she could come home. Hopefully there's a victory from beating leukemia trip coming soon!!

Sorry, you had to cancel. We cancelled our trip to WDW this year due to my nephew being diagnosed with an Ewing's Sarcoma the size of a football, he is 13 years old and this is his 2nd time dealing with cancer, the first time was when he was 5 years old and he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Now, that he is doing better we are planning to go back to WDW next year. I understand how you feel, the sadness of canceling the trip but also knowing it was the right thing to do. I really hope your sister beats this and gets better. :wizard:

Aw that's awful. Hoping the best and that your sister feels better soon. That's very sweet canceling it for your sister... I'm sure it's much more reassuring having her family with her through all of this. Hopefully she continues making good progress & you'll be able to continue where you left off with a later trip. (:

With how much time and energy I devote to planning I completely understand the disappointment of not going after all. I would be crushed. Maybe you can plan some small things you could do locally like a zoo day or just get Chinese food & watch Disney movies so you can temporarily forget your trip.

Hope all goes well!

Sending hugs and prayers and wishes for many magical moments for you, your sister and entire family in the days to come, Bessings.

Thank you everyone. Yes, hello Molly! I haven't spent much time here lately, as fighting cancer is a full time job! Yes, I am praying that I will get to enjoy another trip with my sister one day.
We did have an amazing trip to aulani in march of 2014 to celebrate her first remission which basically lasted for 14 months. She and I also went on the dis diva trip in Feb 2015 with two of our cousins. Since her relapse she has had a stem cell transplant and two more rounds of chemo. Trying to recover from that is horrific. She is back in hospital after just one day home.
I am so filled with gratitude to the people that devote their life to helping sick people. It is amazing really.

I know how that feels! We cancelled a trip that we had booked but found out I had cancer just 2 weeks before :( had surgery, and 2 days after I finished chemo we were on our way to Disneyland!! and we have been back a few times since! You never know what life will throw at you, we lost our son just 2 months after my diagnosis too. We were lucky enough to take his daughters after that. One of our grand daughters said she wanted to go, because on the disneyland commercial it says the place where dreams come true, and she thought she could get her daddy back :( That is him in my signature pic with me on his wedding day. we have been back with our daughters and other grand children since then as well. We do our best to go when ever we can afford it, because those memories can sure get you through a lot of very dark days. Also, planning a trip is an awesome distraction when you are just too sick to do anything else! My very best to you and your family! I pray you can rebook again very soon! :)

A little update...my sis is home and doing ok. A breather while we wait to see what the next step will be. I have put together a quick trip with my son and niece and cousin. Running down Wed to Friday. Hope we at least beat some of the crowds!

Glad to hear the encouraging news about your sister. Hope your quick trip is full of magic and pixie dust!
