I am planning on cruising March 19-27, 2004 and have never cruised quite this early in March -- spring break keeps getting earlier each year! Anyone cruised during mid March that can give me an idea of the weather to expect. 75+ weather is a must as we will have been in frozen Chiicago for months. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Coming from the midwest in March into 75+ temp is great.
We did the 7 day western March 15 - 22 2003. Loved it so much we rebooked while on board for the 7 day eastern March 20 - 27 2004. If you are on the March 20th 2004 check out the thread started.
The weather was perfect. Key West was very very hot. Did not get to stop in Cozumel because it was windy. It was still warm and enjoyed the extra day at sea. CC was the best. Very warm and sunny.
We think any place has to be better then the midwest in March.

Hey hsteacher,

I noticed you are from Palatine.......so am I. Any chance you teach at one of the high schools there?I have 2 boys at Fremd, a Jr. and Sophomore. My hubby and I cruised the western caribbean last February and the weather was just perfect. I am guessing (hoping) March will be even better. The temp was in the 80s when we were in Cozumel and some of the people in our group even got a little sunburned. Enjoy!!! We are going to be on the Wonder for our first family cruise the same week. After a long, cold, cloudy, gray winter in Chicago (I'll never forget those winters!) you'll love the 70's & 80's, sunshine, bright blue water, colorful flowers, and more. While you're swimming at Castaway Cay, you can think of those folks back home wearing winter coats, waiting for an El! Weatherwise our mid March trip was great, and so will yours.

You will love the temps in March. We have cruised the last two Spring Breaks on the Magic. It is warmer than if you cruise in Jan. or Feb. but not nearly as hot as our August cruises. The only drawback is Castaway Cay. Our first Spring Break cruise in '02 was a bit chilly for swimming at CC but last year was wonderful! nice and warm and the water was also warm. Happy Crusing Kathy
