Oh my I cannot believe how big she has gotten! She looks so grown up with her haircut! Hope she is enjoying Kindergarten!

Hey everyone... thanks for all the kind words and your posts. I haven't had the time or the stamina to post. I know I am not only ignoring my TRs but yours as well. I am truly sorry for that. I hope to have a little time to visit and try to catch up(yea right) or at least stay current.

The last few weeks have been very hectic. Heck its been over a month of craziness here. Work has been jamming (I shouldn't complain about that). Christopher had a few parties for his first birthday. My brother moved to Atlanta for work so I was hanging out with him and we had a going away party at our house for him.

On Labor Day, we had a big party to celebrate Juliana's 5 year mark. She hurt her foot at the party and ended up going to get an xray on her foot. They didn't see anything but she stayed home from school on Tuesday. She went Wednesday but the nurse called later in the day saying Juliana wanted to come home. I picked her up and she felt warm. She ended up with a fever and didn't goto school on Thursday. She still had a fever so we took her to the doctor on Friday. She tested positive for strep throat. They started her on antibiotics but her fevers were getting worse. Saturday night while on tylenol and motrin, she was having fevers around 103.5. Sunday morning, she was off to the doctor, who in turn, sent her to the ER. They thought she had an abscess in her throat. They did blood work, checked for mono, gave her a shot of antibiotics, and changed her meds. Yesterday, (out of school again) she went to see an ENT doc who said she didn't have an abscess and changed her back to her original meds. She hasn't had a fever since Sunday morning and she looks a lot better so she went to school today.

Needless to say it has been a crazy week.

I have a ton of pictures from the parties I want to show you but I don't have them on my computer yet. I will try to work on that.

I've left you hanging with our cruise TR.

And there is a lot of news about our Nov. trip that I haven't spoke about. One major piece of news is that our friends Bill & Jamie and their girls are not going on the trip anymore. Their furnace died and need to replace that as well as other elements of their heating system.



I hope you all are doing well and I hope to pop in a little more frequently.

So sorry your friends can't make the trip with you...I know how much you were looking forward to them being there with you.

I LOVE the birthday party theme! That cake was amazing! The cupcakes were such a cute idea as well! Where did you come up with the ideas?! I Hope Juliana is feeling better. Being so sick is never any fun. I am in the middle ear infection club right now, so I semi feel her pain. Also hope your foot is feeling ok! My sister has started running and the two of us are gonna attempt the Disneyland Half next labor day! I was there over labor day and wanted to steal all the runners medals, my friends told me to try it, but I had to remind them that these people just completed a half marathon and probably could out run me lol.

After swimming for a while we went back to the room to get dressed and to get ready for the life boat drill. I believe we had to walk to deck 4 for the drill. It was done very orderly. We were standing there for about 5 minutes when the CMs started reading off people's names and room numbers who didn't check in. I can't believe how many people didn't show up.

Anyway, we made it back outside to find a good spot to watch the ship depart. I think a few other people had the same idea...

The deck party started and moments later we were pulling away.

We were on the deck above the pool and there were a group of people handing out beads, noise makers, & beach balls. They were even pouring champagne (non-alcoholic) for people. It was like they were having their own party!

Juliana was ready in her pirate Minnie dress.

We moved from the port side to starboard to see the lady in the harbor...

As we were waiting to pass the Statue of Liberty, we heard a commotion behind us. There was a celebrity walking to the railing next to us. It was Daisy! She was trying to get a view of the Statue of Liberty too!

We were getting closer to the Statue...

As we were passing the Statue, the Magic blasted it's 'When You Wish Upon A Star' horn. It scared the crap out of us... It was so loud and we were standing right in front of it. Don't know what that sounds like? I found a clip of it HERE! It was soooo cool!!! I need that horn for my boat!!! LOLOL

After we passed the Statue, the ship blasted it's regular horn 5 times. Out in front of us in the channel was a sailboat who was just sitting. It's sails weren't even full of air. As we got closer the Magic's horn blared 5 more times. According to maritime signals the 5 blasts mean “I am in doubt about your action taken to avoid collision” After the 2nd set of horns the sailboat turned to port and slowly made it's way out of the channel. I have no idea why he was sitting there for so long, nor do I know why he didn't move after the first set of horns. It's not like he didn't see us.
