I'm still working on my Trip Report from August, so I haven't started a PTR yet, but I will eventually. But I'll let you know pretty soon where we'll be. You can be in on the secret.....

Hi Joining in! Veterans day is one of the dates I am thinking about going for my rescheduled birthday trip! The other dates are Columbus day weekend. We went Veterans day once and the crowds were great.
Hopefully the weather is nice. Only having 2 days on the ship doesn't leave much time for bad weather. The cruise sounds wonderful! July should be a great time for that. Hopefully the Northern Atlantic cooperates and isn't too rocky for you. But it sounds like a fantastic way to celebrate Ana's five year anniversary!
Ooooooooh. I won't tell anyone!!!I'm still working on my Trip Report from August, so I haven't started a PTR yet, but I will eventually. But I'll let you know pretty soon where we'll be. You can be in on the secret.....![]()
My Goodness, I step away from the DIS for a few weeks (had to study for Boards, which I passed BTW) and you already have a PTR going on and I havent finished the previous trip.

He might be young enough where he doesn't voice an opinion.I here ya on that. I have an idea but trying to plan around a 2 year olds likes is hard. Right now it would be all about Toy Story. But who know what she will be into 9 months from now.I do know I will have no say what so ever the second part of the trip with the inlaws. I can just hope they ask for my suggestions.

Park days-
I spent the other night doing some research and trying to figure out our park days. We all want to do MVMCP one night and fit a day off in our week. I was trying to fit everything else around that.
This is what I came up with.
Friday Nov.2- Arrive in the evening, get settled in, get the kids to bed then I'll probably run to the store for supplies.
Sat. Nov.3- Drive to Give Kids the World to visit in the am. Come back to POFQ in the early afternoon to meet up with our friends (who should be arriving around 12-1) possibly swim and get ready for dinner
Sun. Nov.4- DHS (3.9/10 TP)
Mon. Nov.5- MK (5.1/10 TP)
I was thinking AK for this day. It's our arrival day and TP has it at 1.6/10
Tues. Nov.6- ? Touring plans has this day as a 1/10. Maybe hit a park in the am then take the afternoon off?
Definitely my MK day. Hopefully CP breakfast and depending on schedule MVMCP
Wed. Nov.7- Possibly MVMCP
Hoping for RD at HS. TP has it at 2/10 So I'm thinking it's my best shot at TSM. Maybe MVMCP depending on schedule
Thurs. Nov.8- EP (4.7/10 TP)
Hoping for EP
Fri. Nov.9- AK (6.4/10)
?
Sat. Nov.10- Say bye to our friends who are leaving. We will probably meet up with Melody's cousin. Possibly going to DHS to see the Osbourn lights.
Looks to be a high crowd day. Hoping for a water park day
Sun. Nov.11- MK??(1.5/10) I'm sure the crowds are low because of MVMCP that night.
departure day. Hoping for MK until it's time to leave
Mon. Nov.12- Fly home in the late morning/early afternoon
Overall touring plans feels that it will be a moderately busy week with Tuesday (1/10) and Wednesday (2/10) being the slowest days. If indeed they aren't going to be that busy, I don't want to take off Tuesday from a park. I wouldn't mind going to RD somewhere then coming back to the resort for the afternoon and relaxing. Melody wants a full day off in this trip somewhere. I also wanted to stay away from Epcot on the weekends since Food & Wine will sill be going on. (it ends on Sunday Nov. 11th)
(I had more but I'm posting this much now before I lose it... DIS is acting up again.)
I'm hoping the levels stay like this. I don't know if the opening of the new Fantasyland will add to these numbers or not.wow, I love some of those crowd levels! That would be amazing, especially given that you've got the lights and the party and all the wonderful holiday stuff in force!
LOL...I wish I could plan more, but I promised I wouldn't![]()
Luckily for you, you don't need to in September. I don't follow it to a T either but if I have a toss up, I'll go with the crowd numbers. We have NEVER once followed anyone's touring plans and, I must say, we've been very lucky.
We are going to have APs but the rest of our friends don't have hoppers. I can see us leaving a park in the afternoon and heading back in evening though. The wild card here is how Christopher is going to be. If he passes out in the stroller and gets some naps in then we can stay in a park. If he is getting over stimulated and won't sleep, then back to the resort we will go.I agree with Mel...a full day off is just what you need to reenergize. And I definitely think you should make rope drop one morning and then go back to the resort for a swim and then hit another park in the evening (or do you not have hoppers?; if not, then go a park that you would stay at all day and evening and just split up the time...it really helps).
That's basically what I do too. I use them as a guide. I don't follow it to a T but if I have a toss up, I side with the calendar.Plans are looking good Tim.I too use the TP as a guide, mostly just to get an idea of what parks to hit when. So far, they've been extremely useful. Even on the days that are rated a 6, the crowds weren't terrible at all.
I have no idea what Christopher's demeanor is going to be like or what he will put up with.Hmm, so Mel wants a day off of the parks, right? Your days look rather low key anyway, maybe you can talk her into doing a park rather than a day off? Maybe? DH kinda likes to have a day off and I'd rather tour the parks. So our compromise is that we hit the parks early and then right after lunch, we head back to the resort on some days to swim and relax. But of course, you have to factor in having a baby too.
Thanks!!!Overall, I think your week looks excellent!![]()
Thanks Lisa!!!your plans look good for a first rough draft!
I was thinking that too. If one of us had to, we could take Christopher back to the room and the other one could stay in the park. It sounds good on paper anyway!you will have to flexible with Christopher....or maybe you and Mel take turns going back to the room and the other stay and have some one on one with Juliana! Megan was 22 months her first visit and napped really well in her stroller, we did 2 days straight then one day off then our last 2 days to give her a good break which worked out really well for her!
Juliana napped a few times in the stroller when she was 23 months. But who knows what's gonna happen.I didn't think Meadow would nap in the stroller when we went in Sept/Oct as she never really had before. Turned out the stroller was the only place she did nap. Hopefully you will get lucky. It's hard when they are that little. They get uncomfortable with the new surrounding plus Christopher should be walking by then right? He will need some freedom.
I would also look into renting a crib if POFQ only has pack n plays. My kids always slept better in the cribs. Both hated to sleep in a pack n play.
