Cruising March 12, 2005!!

Two families going with us. Here's the breakdown:
Boy 16
Boy 15
Girl 11
Girl 12

I booked a spot for our day in Cozumel. Looks like it may be more fun than the one organized by the cruise ship. They provide 120 cf tanks and computers. Let me know, or contact aldora.com directly (click the "cruise ship" link.)

Yes, you are correct. We will NOT be cruising with you all. :sad1: I couldn't get off work next week. But I have been keeping up with this thread and reading all about the fun plans. I read last year when this 2004 cruise returned that they did have a celebration for St Patricks Day - The main thing I remember is that they served green beer on St Patricks Day. Have one for me! :)
Everyone have fun and I will be thinking of you all next week. Each day I will think - Today is *** and we would be doing ***.
Still waiting for my first cruise :hourglass

Hi All

I know several of you have left, many more leave tomorrow (Friday). We head out of Columbus Saturday morning (5:40 am). It is so close I can taste it. We are expecting snow again today. I don't mind if we have snow as long as my plane can get out on time and safely!! In fact, I hope Columbus has TONS of snow while I am gone - it makes the trip that much more sweeter!

Since this is my first cruise, I just hope I get it all packed and organized. Would hate to have the passports in the luggage kind of problem!!

My son came home 3 days ago with the flu but we got Tamiflu in him right away - he is so much better today and should be good to go Saturday. Bought Tamiflu for the rest of us as an insurance policy. Great stuff.

So far, we all are staying away from my son, using hand sanitizer like it is going out of business and staying high on adrenaline.

See you all in 47 hours!!! Promenade Lounge. YIPPPEEEEEE!!!

Gotta go finish the packing.

Well we fly out tomorrow night. They are talking snow and rain in Philadelphia, but nothing too bad.

We are all packed, just need to deal with the carry-ons, considering we are bringing wine, I need to be careful.

I am praying for 20" on Saturday (since we fly out Friday), but as long as my flight takes off, I don't care what the weather here is like.

See you all at the Promanade at 3PM, and from what I have read, half of us maybe on the early buses to DCL from Orlando Airport.

I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE . . . :wave2: :cool1:

By the way, here are our weather forecasts:
2/12 - Cape Canaveral - Mostly Sunny. 72
2/13 - Key West - Pleanty of Sun. 74
2/15 - Grand Cayman Island - Sunny. 84
2/16 - Cozumel, Mexico - Partly Cloudy. 87
2/18 - Castaway Cay - Partly Cloudy. 79

Quick question. Is tamiflu an over the counter drug or by prescription?

Is it available in the states?

Only One More Sleep

I know it sounds familiar, but I can not say that it is over the counter. Sorry!

See you Saturday everyone! I can't sleep, we leave tomorrow at 3pm!!! :Pinkbounc

Looking at the Tamiflu website, it appears to be available only by prescription.

We're on a 1pm flight out of Dallas tomorrow. However, unlike many of you, we are actually leaving unseasonably warm weather - suppose to be in the 80's over the weekend! Oh well, we would still rather be on the Magic!

Back to packing.....

Safe travels everyone!

Tamiflu is prescription but I just called our doctor and told them we were exposed and that we are cruising and we wanted a prescription called in and they did. For me it wasn't cheap because my pres. insurance says there are other product (they don't do the job Tamiflu does but it is an insurance ploy).

My son is doing great - he said the medicine worked GREAT.

See ya soon.

It's snowing again. Rats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully, our flight will be able to take-off. :worried: Keep your fingers crossed. If we are not on the boat, it won't be for lack of trying. It's just not supposed to snow in March.

Frustrated,
Lisa

Yes it's snowing again in CT. I have found a great website for the obsessive from the FAA-
http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp
it shows all the major airport with delay info
(hope I didn't break any rules about posting a link)
I was going to try and switch my flight to the morning, but they said it wasn't going to accumulate. I'm sure there will be some delays by tonite, but hopefully we will get out ok.
See you all tomorrow- I can't believe it's tomorrow.
