This will be our first cruise in November we are leaving out on the 7th. My question is what to pack… Anyone that has cruised in the beginning of November, did you pack summer clothes, shorts, t-shirts, etc… or did you pack pants, with short sleeve shirts? Should we pack jackets? I am in the process of trying to think of what we need. Thanks in advance! Oh we will be going to Nassau, Bahamas, Castaway Cay and one day at sea.

Whatever you pack, be sure to pack a jacket. Remember, while onboard, it's a moving vehicle and it gets breeze (chilly) on deck. And I've always found the interior spaces onboard ships pretty chilly.

I'd probably pack a combination of shorts and long pants, as you never know. For a short cruise, maybe two pairs of shorts and one pair of long pants. And 4 shirts that go with either.

I was kind of already thinking about doing this, or at leave packing capris for me. Thanks for the advice. Can't wait to hear from people that have cruises in November. Keep your advice coming :).

I've cruised twice on the Dream in November. We mostly did shorts and tees during the day. We did have one day that was cool/raining and we had on jeans and sweatshirts. Mostly the weather was beautiful! I also suggest a jacket for on deck in the evenings.

We cruised in early November and did a 4night Dream cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay. We packed jeans/pants, shorts, capris, tees, and sweaters. The kids wore pants to dinner but lived in shorts the whole time. My husband wore shorts the whole time except to dinner and Palo brunch. I stayed mainly in my summer dresses, shorts, and capris. The weather was in the low 80s, not really humid so we were very comfortable. I only used a sweater at night on deck (I am always cold). We are cruising in August this year so I am kind of dreading the heat and humidity but can't wait to get on the ship. Enjoy your cruise!

I agree with the previous posters. My sailings in November have been nice, but you will probably want a jacket

Florida is still hot in early November and tends to be the same in the Bahamas. :) The humidity is definitely less, but if you pack a pair of slacks/jeans and one long sleeve shirt or light sweater/cardigan you should be good to go.
The rest can be capris, shorts, tee shirts, polo shirts etc. Be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes if you are doing excursions and flip flops/sandals for the pool. Since you are taking a 4 night cruise, there is optional dress up dining but if you go to Palo or Remy you will want to bring more formal attire for you and members of your party that are 18 and over who will be dining at those locations.

We have taken several September cruises, a November cruise (left on the 9th) one December cruise and a January cruise and found that we really needed the long sleeve shirt or sweater at night if we were on deck. It gets mighty windy out there. :) Especially on Pirate night when you are watching Pirates of the Caribbean (for the umpteenth time ) at 11:30 PM until the early hours.

I believe we might be on the same cruise. The Dream? We almost always cruise in late October or early November. I am always in shorts and short sleeves. I do bring my DCL windbreaker which is very lite. We have found it nice and warm that time of year.

Yes, we are going on the Dream. This is our 4th cruise on the Dream, but our first time in November. I think I will bring shorts, Capris, and maybe one pair of jeans just in case and then just a jacket if I get cold. DCL windbreaker? Sounds like something I might just have to have.

We cruised just before Thanksgiving last year and the weather was pretty good, although we had some strong wind. I recall wearing mostly shorts during the day. Can't say we needed any jackets. Water was a bit cool at CC, but that didn't stop the kids from swimming.

We cruised the last week of November last year and I packed cardigans that I could layer over summer outfits, capris and a pair of jeans. It rained one evening on our way back and got a bit chilly but while it was sunny, the temp was really nice. Of course wandering through a/c areas of the ship was also chilly to me at times.
