Anyone out there cruising on the 4/19 Eastern Magic Cruise? It apears to be sold out ....yet I haven't seen anyone on the boards say they were going. We have got a party of 7...3 adults, 2 teenD and 2 8-10D. How does the Easter Bunny visit your cabin?

We are cruising on the Magic April 19th too! Our family is me (34), dh (34), dd(8) and dd(5). This will be our first time on the Magic although we have been on the Wonder 3 times. How about you? I actually hadn't even thought about the Easter Bunny yet! Hmmm! Maybe he will come early for us!

Our family will be on board the Disney Magic for the Easter Cruise as well. Our DD will be celebrating her 14th B-day on Easter Sunday. We were wondering about the Easter Bunny as well. Maybe we'll see the Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!

That's great Hans....I will be with my 15 yo DD and my 13 yo DN(niece) perhaps they will somehow hookup. I know the last time (Easter 2002) they were not much interested in the teen programs or CG. After reading the boards, I am kinda glad. Don't know if I can wait 80 some odd days ...it is awfully cold up here on the Jersey Shore.....sure it's not a whole lot better there in Jacksonville!

We have been waking up to high 20's to the low 30's for the past 4 or 5 days here in northeast Florida. Today we warmed up to 72 which is a little over our normal temps but we're not complaining.
We, (me 45, DW 40something, DD 13 going on 14, and DS 11), are so looking forward to the cruise.:D

We are also...so looking forward to this. My children and I went last year w/grammy. This year we are going with my sister (48)and her hubby (40) and their 2 girls...one that is also 13. I told her about your daughter and she was excited. It is nice to have some contacts before you get on board. We are going to BCV for 2 days before the cruise...can't wait for that either. It will be our first time at that resort...and the pool is so outrageous! We are DVC members...how about you?

We are warming up here a bit too, but I am sure not for long. High in the 40's today. By this weekend ...down to single digits again. I hope this cold trend does'nt last till April!!

DH, DD 11, DS 12 and I are also on the April 19th cruise.

Hans Solo, I see you are a Star Wars and LOTR fan. We are also. My DS lives for Star Wars and my DH for LOTR. Perhaps we can hook up?

Can't wait to get to the warmth of the islands! Cabin fever in the northeast is in epidemic proportions! My DD13 has been packed since early February, I think she's just a teeny bit excited! This is my children's first cruise (the other is DS10) and my first Disney Cruise.

See you on the Magic! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We are also cruisin with the Easter Bunny; DW, DD11, DD13 and myself. Our first disney cruise also.

In total agreement, can't wait to be warm! Although we haven't packed yet, we are pretty excited.

Flying in on the 18th and staying at the Radison. Have special plans for dinner Friday night (Hoo-Dee-Doo). It's a surprise for the kids, so keep it quiet - LOL. There have been about a 100 times my DW and I have had to bite our tongues and not spill the beans. Opps here comes my DD11, have to post this quick before she reads the surprise.

Let's hope the next 4 weeks fly by

I am so glad this post got bumped up......someone must have spent a whole day in the archives to reach it!!!

Finally the Easter cruisers are appearing and it sounds like we all have kids in the same age categorys....thats a good thing! Hopefully they will meet and click...it is always fun to make new friends....my dd15 still commucicates w/friends she met on last years cruise. She said this is a different type of vacation because you are with these kids for 7 days straight.

I have also been packed since I was stuck in the house for a week because of the snow....I am not too anxious!!!

We are going on the April 19th too!! We can't wait. DH(42), me (38), DD(9) and DD(7). We are staying at the Radisson the night before, thanks to these boards.

We are on deck 7.

We are staying at the Raddison the night before too! We are on deck 6. Our group is me (34), dh (35), dd(8) and dd (5). We are very excited too! I have been shopping for clothes and goodies for the trip! Can't wait!

I'm surprised that this post got found and bumped, too. The last post was way back in February.
We will be at the Radisson as well on Friday night but it may be late. I may not be able to get away from work until 5pm. It will take about 2 1/2 hours to drive and we'll stop on the way down to eat.

Oh yea, we'll be on Deck 6 as well!

Of course we are staying at The Radisson at the Port friday also! Just got our room assignment! 5502. I am so excited because we booked with a special which was catagory 11, so catagory 8 is such a blessing to us.

Did anyone come up with some creative ideas for Easter activities or treats? Or are you "celebrating" before you go?

I'm part of a party of ten, Mom (Grandma), Elder Sister (me) my Husband (42), and our daughter 16; My Brother (39), and his wife (??), My sister (??), her husband(40), and daughters 12 and 9.

This will be the first cruise for my husband and daughter, the rest of us were on the Magic in April 2001. We're really praying that my husband will be able to come (see thread "1st strike on Iraq...any annoucements/changes onboard??" for details).

My sister-in-law, Nancy and I are scrapbookers (she's the expert, I'm a novice). For Christmas she bought the nieces some supplies. Since the girls, ages 9 to 16 are too old for the bunny, we are making Goodie Easter Sacks (No baskets) with some scrapbooking supplies, journals, stickers, gel pens and foam picture frames with some Easter related foam stickers.
(We love Michaels and Pat Catans for craft supplies)

We are still debating what to get Mom, (we are spending our inheritance early)

Does anyone know what is planned for Easter Sunday mass? According to the DCL web page they have a priest for Easter and Christmas, and a Rabbi for Passover.

Mom and younger Sis and family are in a Cat 3 room, Brother and I are in Cat 4 rooms nearby. needless to say, the Cat 3 is our family HQ for the week.

Daughter plans to at least check-out Common Grounds. On my last cruise I met a couple teens that "actually were enjoying it."

All the girls live for pool and beach time, and swim like dolphins.

Mom, Nancy and I are planning on reading time, the guys on nap time and my sister, I think she'll live at the Spa.

Less than a month!

I would assume there will be Easter services on the boat.

We told our girls the cruise is what the easter bunny is bringing us this year. They too, 11 and 13 are beyond the Easter bunny thing. Although they still expect baskets of candy - go figure!

We spent 6 hours yesterday shopping for clothes. It was a long Sunday afternoon for me. I didn't realize how long 3 women can shop for and not get tired. I think they are all set for the cruise as far as clothes go, but what does a Dad know...

We are on Deck 6 also. Booked part of the cruise with DVC and the rest cash. Still haven't recieved our docs. Has anyone else? This is our first Disney Cruise, when should we expect to see the docs?

Wow....lots of us are on deck 6!! I ordered baskets from "The Perfect Gift" and sent down bathing suits , goggles, flip flops etc. to put in the baskets. I also ordered flowers.

Last year they had a catholic mass in the AM ....I think 9 ....the priest had a NY broadway backgroun and sang through the whole mass....I mean B'way tunes! "On a Clear Day " was one of the selections. I hope he is on board again!

Maybe we should have a DIS meet....anyone upfor organizing?

We wouldn't "move" Easter to another date, so any special surprises would be packed in a separate luggage compartment. Our DD will have a birthday and we will celebrate an anniversary while cruising. I think I'll ask our concierge to help by laying out the surprises while either sleeping or out and about. There are florists/gift basket purveyors near the port who will deliver things pre-sail, but I think they are expensive. While at Dixie Landings a few years back, we celebrated Valentines Day. We told the girls Mickey delivered their special V-Day Pooh Gram (that mom added some candy to). I put it outside the door just before they woke. Worked great!
