Did you get your FE on ebay? It looks alot like the one that I ordered! I can't wait to see how ours turned out. I went ahead and put our DD's on there even though they're not coming on this cruise....I figure there might be another one in our future!

Sorry, my last post was kind of vague. I meant to say that I'd seen fish extenders like Kat's on ebay and I love them! A friend from work made our FE. I found some stick on letters to put our names on it. I just hope they stay on! It's getting closer and closer, guess I should get that done!

So ... we leave exactly two weeks from today!!

Can we be much more excited?? I think not!!!

The weather here (CT)was beautiful yesterday!! We are boaters ... so I was up in the boat cleaning, re-stocking, washing linens - all in prep for the season. It was so nice! We are putting her in the water tomorrow!!!

The landscapers are here cutting the lawn for the first time of the season today ... I just LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass!!!

I am off to take my car to the service department AGAIN ... such small silly stuff keeps going wrong with it, I'm not impressed! I drive a Lexus IS250 and have had it under a year. They installed a power starter when I bought it and it kills the engine after you start it and try to drive away (they can't figure that one out to save their lives), the motor for the moon roof blew a few months ago and they had it on three separate occasions to get that fixed and now the microphone for the bluetooth is shot and the part finally came in so I have to go up and have them install it. Like I said, just too many small things going wrong for a fairly new car. It will be a year old in May.

When I get home, we are going to pull the suitcases from the attic and start packing!! Well, I'm going to let the kids start packing ... I will do mine the week of. If they want to trip over suitcases in their rooms for two weeks, I don't mind.

Still have to do FE gifts ... but I have all of my ideas and such so that shouldn't be too hard at all.

I am definitely mailing a box to the ship beforehand so that the kids don't see everything like the FE, the FE gifts and stuff that might give it away like highlighters for the Navigators, etc ... my daughter knows all of the DIS items. As it is I have to be very careful about our docs, the mock boarding passes to use for the surprise, etc.

So do we have an official time for the meet-up? Hopefully some of us will recognize each other at the terminal so that we find each other more easily on board. Shawn is 19 so he's not one for the small Mickey pool - So we will most likely be stationed over by the bigger pool as Gabi will probably be in the bigger pool too, but running back and forth to use the slide.

We are letting my brother-in-law and sister-in-law sit with our pup while we are away this time. They just had to put their dog Sandy down a few weeks ago and the kids were heartbroken so they asked and we said yes. Usually it's my mother-in-law but she totally understood. We have the cutest, most well-behaved funny chihuahua/toy fox terrier mix so everyone always jumps at the chance to stay with him ... even my bosses wife asks for him!! LOL His name is Bosco ... here are a few pics of him!!









Well, I feel like I'm writing a novel for you guys, LOL. So, I'm off. Hope you all have an amazing weekend!!!

Cute dog Kat!!! We have to find a pet sitter too....our newly acquired cat (a stray that came around and never left) had 5 kittens yesterday. The kids are pretty excited...me not so much! We will be taking the cat to get fixed ASAP.

I have gone from "Man is this trip ever going to get here?" to "Oh Crap it's like in 2 weeks and I am not ready."

The weather here has been gorgeous too. I spent the morning at the ballpark....sitting with my legs stretched out so I can get some sun. I haven't had time to go tan and man I need it!

We are planning to get to the port fairly early. Probably when they open. So we will be at the pool as soon as we can be. So any set time should work for us.

We probably won't be too hard to spot as I will be the only one NOT wearing a swimsuit at the pool!! I have yet to find one. Shopped a little this afternoon after dd's softball game and still no luck. I have told DH that my entire weekend next weekend will be spent swimsuit shopping...I will not rest till I find one...LOL!! Oh to be a size 2....I'd have no trouble then.

Off to the ballpark now for round 2. DS's turn to play.

I still need my goodies for my Fish Extenders and for my door magnets. My printer cartridge bit the dust and still cannot print them off! I only have 2, then I need to get them into something and a Magnet holder. I hope I can find those at Hobby Lobby.
I was going to grab them this week, but of course it's tight. I so need a job! But I am not going to worry about it until after our trip, I can't.. I'll stress out way too much!

I can't believe it, yesterday I got a bit sunburned at my DD Caseys Softball game, I do not like Tan lines! LOL

I can't believe how close we are... If we need to, or want too, what about exchanging numbers so that we find each other. If anyone wants my cell number let me know.. I think we will be getting from the Magic Bus fairly late. They pick us up from the Caribbean beach resort at 11:30 or so...

Bosco is so sweet! That reminds me, need to talk to the mother-in-law and make sure she can take care of our animals while we're gone. We have a yellow lab mix and 2 cats who were once strays but are now the dog's best friends.

Good luck with the swim suit Shannon! I looked over Easter weekend and finally gave up. I'll just wear the one I have from last year. I knew exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find it anywhere.

We'll probably be late too Diana. Our flight gets in at 10:45 so I'm hoping to be in the port around noon. I'll send you my cell phone number in a pm. Someone needs to remind me to shut it off when we leave the port though. Otherwise I'll be getting emails and texts and racking up a huge bill!

Oh, goodness, it is getting SOOOO hard to keep this secret!!

My husband blurted it out last night and I almost chucked a shoe at him!!

We had a nice dinner outside complete with a few drinks (key part of this story!) ... and we were inside later and my husband was talking about how responsible Gabi has been with her new watch and says, "so gabi, when your mom and I are by the pool having a few mango margaritas on the cruise, you can be in charge of what time it is!" and she goes, "ON THE CRUISE???" ... and he says, "well, you know, next year, when we go on our next cruise" and then starts bursting out laughing! I was like !!

I said, "gabi, don't listen to him, he's been working in the sun all day and had a few smirnoff ice's ... he's delirious" and she just had this puzzled look on her face.

If we can make it through without another major slip-up, I will be shocked!

Kasey helped me put the kid FE's together yesterday. She is so excited about getting to go to each cabin and give them out!

We leave 2 weeks from today to head down to Orlando....I can't wait!!!!!!

Regarding the FE gifts ... how are we doing the deliveries?? I need clarification on a few things ...

are we doing one delivery per stateroom for the entire cruise?

Also, are we having designated days for deliveries? If we just do it whenever we can, we run the risk of getting a lot on one day and nothing on the next or does it even matter? LOL

If we designate 4 families for the first full day and 4 families for the 2nd full day, everyone will be guaranteed a delivery each full day from 4 different families.

What does everyone think??

We can also vote for just doing it willy-nilly and being surprised at whatever comes whenever it comes!

Kat....I like this idea.

I did goody bags for the kids and was going to do one bag but Kasey insisted that we seperate it into two. I told her we may not have time to deliver on two different days and she insisted that SHE WOULD find the time to do it. She loves giving out prizes! Austyn wasn't as interested.....boys!!!

I like the idea of breaking it up so everyone gets something on both days. I think the kids will like it more that way!

I'm game for splitting up and delivering gifts on certain days. It will be nice to spread it out a little. Just let me know when!

I need some advice. I'm debating on whether I should change our flight to Wednesday night, so that we can get to the port earlier on Thursday. As it is right now, I'm hoping to arrive around noon. How long will the paperwork take if I complete it all online ahead of time? I saw a post on the DCL board by someone saying they were in boarding group 7 and were still able to board by 12:15.

I know there's a lot to do in the terminal. I'm just wondering if it's worth the hassle of changing our plane tickets (Southwest would give us a credit of about $10 each since the Wednesday night flight is cheaper), finding a hotel in Orlando, changing the towncar arrangements, and re-arranging my husband's work schedule to take off Wednesday afternoon. What do you think?

OMG Kat that was a close one! It will be funny to see what she says when you're finally able to surprise her with the cruise!

Personally, I would not fly in on the same day. What would happen if there was a major thunderstorm and you couldn't take off?? If they cancelled your flight? If the airport had a problem and you had to be re-routed??

To me, it's just not worth it. Chances are you will be ok ... but there is always a chance.

I say if you are able to get the work situation with your DH changed and it's not a super hassle, go for it. It gives you the peace of mind. I can recommend a WONDERFUL hotel near the port ... you wake up and you can see the ship's stack's over the horizon!! You are there in 10 minutes! Plus there is a continental breakfast and the rooms are wonderful. Let me know!
