Another Round of Name That Tune ....

Bodies in the sand
Tropical drink melting in your hand
We'll be falling in love
To the rhythm of a steel drum band

Can you name that tune in four lines? :music:

Yay page 5!!

I never even thought of brunch at Palo's. Can you book 2 meals at Palo? Say dinner one night and brunch on another?

You can definitely book the brunch and a dinner. I am not sure but I thought you can book every night if you really wanted too. DW enjoyed the brunch more then the dinner, so that is why we are doing it again. But if you haven't had the Palo chocolate souffle :thumbsup2 , then you really should try dinner. Last cruise we had early seating, so we had a light dinner then had Palo booked at 9:00pm so we could have another dinner. That way we didn't miss anything.

Love that song too! I always watch Cocktail to get me in the Caribbean mood and that song is in it!

Thanks for the Palo tips:thumbsup2

Looks like I will book a brunch and dinner:cool1:

The future DW is big on chocolate cake, I myself and not a sweets person:scared1:

Well, marci is so far unbeaten and unchallenged in our game of Name That Tune .... is she gonna get the "hat trick"? :cool1:

I ain't had a day off now in over a year
My Jamican vacation's gonna start right here
Get the phones for me
You can tell 'em I just sailed away

Love this one too --

It's Five O'Clock Somewhere......

Of course, since no one else is playing, it's rather easy to be unbeaten!

Have a great Friday, fellow cruisers! :)

LOL! Marci is on a roll!!:cool1: That song is my ringtone!!

Happy Friday all! We will be heading down to Ocean City MD later this evening. Our DD is a competative gymnast and has a meet down there early tomorrow morning, so we are making a weekend out of it.

Hey Ragnrok - So it looked like you mentioned your GF/DF has a Dis board handle. You have to get her posting! And you guys must be feeling pretty good about the Adaluis Thomas pickup! He is going to kick butt in NE. It really sucks the Reavens couln't keep him. :sad2: Oh yeah, noticed your sig had a stay at CBR fairly recently... DW and I stayed there for the first part of our honeymoon (oh sooooo long ago), prior to our RCL cruise.

Hey, where is JustThat? I she her posting on the other boards, so I know you are out there!

Slow thread, but as I always tell my DW... There are party starts and then there are party goers... Which one are you? :drinking1

party: :rockband:

Later all.

Good luck to your daughter this weekend

Future DW is too busy with nursing school and wedding stuff to be surfing the net:rotfl:

Loving the Pats offseason! Considering we were less than 2 minutes away from the SB last year, and we improved ourselves tremendously, I think they should just give us the rings now

Yes I took future DW there for her first every trip:wizard: I also proposed to her on our first night there during wishes:cloud9:

My mom goes to Disney 3-4 times a year, and CBR is the only place she stays (she actually called disney and upgraded me from POP  )

Well all, DisneyJam and I are about to head out to DD's gymnastics meet at the beach!! yay!! You probably won't hear from us til Sunday evening. But just to keep things going .... (and ya'll better get this one!!!! a classic!)

Don't know the reason,
Stayed here all season
With nothing to show but this brand new tattoo.
But it's a real beauty,
A Mexican cutie, how it got here
I haven't a clue.

DisneyJam/JenLynn, where in MD are you? We live in DC, by the zoo.

Are we planning a meet at any point during the cruise? My husband is so averse to those things, but his parents will be with us so he can hang out with them while the kids and I come if we have one. The 7 night I did in February we met up on embarkation day by the pool. It was nice cause we saw lots of those DISers throughout the week so it was great to know they were part of the group.

LOVE this one too!

justthat -- I'd love a chance to say hello to everyone! We met in the Promenade lounge last summer at 3. It gave us time to say hi, exchange small gifts and/or postcards (that was a larger group that had been talking for months, so we all brought something regional to where we lived to exchange with the others), took a picture, then went to the drills, then out to the pool for sail-away.

I hope y'all have a great week!

Hey JustThat, we live outside of Baltimore in Westminster. I travel to DC occasionally for work and various training seminars. I am a software developer so we have a lot of business in the DC area. :badpc:

We would love to meet up. Our group meet by the Goofy pool during the sail away party. We were a very large group back in May '04, so it was great to meet eveyone that had been posting. All week, you couldn't walk anywhere on the ship with out seeing people you knew. pirate:

And Ragnrok... if your mom goes to Disney that much, she should consider DVC membership. We are members and love staying at these resort, but she can also use points to stay at CBR if she chooses.

I wouldn't mind meeting more of my Disfriends:thumbsup2 - I have a meeting planned with some other people during my land portion of the trip, plus we are all going to "stalk" each other:cool2:

She looked into a DVC a few years ago, but it didn't seem worth it to her (she does go more now) However, she gets great rates by just calling and reserving a room, that I doubt a DVC would save her any money

Yikes .... It is Easter weekend and it was snowing on my way to school yesterday!!!!

So now I am more ready for our cruise than ever! DD and I went shopping the other day and bought her some clothes for the cruise and I would start packing now if DH wouldn't think I was crazy.

Taking the kids out for shopping and lunch today and of course .... more dreaming about our cruise!!!! :beach:

We finally booked our trip yesterday and almost didn't get to go! But we are doing the Happy Cruise Dance:cool1:

The people going are myself, DH, DD age 11 and DD age 6. Anyone else with girls this age or around this age? My 6 year old is more socialble, but my 11 year old does warm up after awhile.

We haven't booked any excursions yet, and not sure we will. We will probably just enjoy the beaches, scenery and do some shopping this time. But I do plan on eating dinner at Palo's. I enjoyed it last time, the food was great. We booked an early sitting dinner again.

The night before the cruise we are spending the night at Vero Beach. We almost didn't get to do that either. DH took too long to book, but like I said, at least we are on the boat:banana: The room we got is a category 11 on deck 6, we got 2 of them it was the only way. We figure we are not in the room much anyways. I did check room reports on another website and it got good ratings from other people who have stayed there.

Sue

Yay!! Welcome Sue!! Great to have you aboard!!

Wow, you guys booked late. We booked March last year, but hey we're all on the same cruise so does it really matter?? pirate:

JennLynn is my DW and we have a DD age 7 (she will be 2 months shy of 8) as well as a DS age 9, so the two young ones should get along nicely. Our DD is very social as well.

Have a great Easter everyone!!

Hi Sue! Welcome to our group. I have DS11 and DS9.

I agree about the weather Jen. We may have wintery mix this weekend -- so much for sleeveless dresses and egg hunts! Next week it is supposed to be back in the 60s and 70s. We almost froze at my DS11s baseball game tonight!

I know we were late on booking. We will be moving at that time, and DH is starting a business, so we weren't sure on the plans on that. So we decided to book it before the business opens and after our move. It will be a celebration cruise for us.

We've been on the 7 day cruise 2 years ago and we just loved it! So we know alot about cruising with Disney. The girls can't wait to go and neither can we.

Sue

Welcome Sue!!!!!! This is getting so exciting! Our DD is extremely social and loves to meet other girls. We also have early seating and are also in a cat 11 stateroom. What sort of business is your DH starting? WOW, you must be really busy right now!

OK, I also just have to celebrate a bit (poor DisneyJam is tired of hearing this already, but I am just so happy!). I am currently a 4th grade teacher but am trying to get a transfer to the middle school level teaching reading or social studies. I needed to take a national test to get my middle school reading endoresment and I got the report today ..... and I passed!!!! :yay: So now that is one less thing to worry about! Just keeping my fingers crossed to hear something soon about my transfer (hoping to hear before our cruise!!!)

Have a wonderful weekend and Easter everyone!

It is so nice to meet all of you. Congratulations on passing your test! I hope you get the job you want. Do you have your room number? Ours is something like 6624. There are various catergory 11's on various floors of the ship. I know of a website that people rate the rooms. so if you want I can look it up for you and let you know how other people liked the room you are getting.

Okay, I need some girls around age 11. Sorry, boys won't do, she is so anti boy right now, which is fine by us! We hope that lasts for a long long time, he-he.

Is anyone going to post a list of who is all going? Also where is everyone from? We are moving to mid Missouri before our cruise. We are doing the move in bits and pieces. Most of our stuff is in storage, so my husband will take a trailor full of stuff each time he goes down there. So then when we do the big move, it is just our furniture. Our resident status has been up in the air for a year, so it feels good to know we will be settling again soon. Sad, that we have to move away from some family and friends, but we know the area and know people where we are moving to, because we have a summer condo there. So that makes it easier.
