Cruisin' June 24, 2007 -- Wonder

Welcome Muninn!

I finally got our documents today. :woohoo: They were addressed to my 8 year old....too funny! For some reason, they only put three people on the first set, so his documents were in a separate booklet.

My DS11 has a baseball tournament this weekend, so I'll try errand-running around that, in order to get more things checked off of my pre-trip list!

Have a good weekend everyone! :)

We got our tickets today :cool1: ! They were waiting for me on the front porch. I am surely glad noone snatched them up :scared1: ! That would've been scary! Anyways, I am glad they arrived when they did, because we move on Wed.!!!

Also today, when we went downtown, we went to the Disney store. I was inquiring on another thread about Disney cruise clothes. I heard they sell a cute line in the stores, but it is not available online. So we went and they are so cute!!! There is a whole line for the whole family, tropical type stuff. For the guys it is mainly just a dark blue shirt with palm trees and a Mickey theme to it in a lighter blue color, and another shirt that is off white with a fun tropical disney theme. But the the girls and ladies there are several styles to choose from. There are 3 types of skirts, and 3 types of tops and same for the girls. So cute! And dresses too! A really nice line, the best I have seen Disney have in a few years. So we are going to wait till we are in Orlando to buy some. I don't want to have to buy it now and worry about loosing it during our trip. My problem is I can't decide which outfit to buy.

I got my kids some stuff from the Tiki line at the Disney Store on Friday. Of course, I heard it went on sale today.

Welcome! I have daughters the same age as yours! My 11 year old just turned 11. She use to do rhythmic gymnastics and compete. That is where they do routines with the ribbons, ball, hope, clubs and a floor routine. When we moved recently she had to quit because there is no competing team close by. But she wants to do gymnastics for fun. My 6 year old likes gymnastics too, but she doesn't compete. She also likes ballet. They both want to meet new friends in the clubs. My 6 year old is not shy at all, very outgoing and can make a friend in a minute. My 11 year old is a little shy, but doesn't take long for her to warm up to new friends. Hopefully our kids can meet.

We leave in 3 more days for Florida to start our vacation

We are leaving on Thurday ight to drive from PA to Cocoa Beach, with 15 yo. Everyone else is coming on the Train on Friday. I guess we will do the beach on Saturday and get all pumped upfor the trip!! I'm so excited:banana: Thell your 11 yo to watch for a girl wearing clothes that say "gymnast" It seems that everything he owns says that, just in case any one might care ;)

Welcome phoenixphantom!

I'm glad to see more people joining our thread.

We leave tomorrow. Hope to see you guys on the ship! :)

Anyone want to meet around 3 in the promenade lounge or at a specific place before the sailaway party?

I'm up for it! We are first time cruisers, so someone else should pick the time and place. What you suggested is probably fine. I know my kids will want to go to the pool. I' ll be checking e-mail through Saturday.

I'm up for either. Some people like the promenade because it is quieter and you don't have to yell to talk, but some prefer being outside at the party.

Anyone else have a preference and willing to join us?

Welcome PhoenixPhantom!! Where in Eastern PA are you? We are in north-central MD (not far from Gettysburg). DD (almost 8 yo) is a level 5 gymnast. Glad you found our thread! We stayed at Saratoga Springs this past Thanksgiving and loved it! Welcome to the thread!! Can't wait to meet you!

We are up for a meet and greet as well ... the pool is a "happening place" but I know my children will want to be in the pool as much as possible so I'll throw my vote that way.

Hello everyone! Can you beleive we are leaving in just 4 days??:cool1:

Welcome to the party Phoenix! We have a large group with us as well as you may have seen in a previous post.

I am in King of Prussia, PA at the moment in a training conference, so I don't get to look here much during the day.

So my family, will actually be leaving Sat and we can't wait. I think Rag has already left for WDW if I am not mistaken. Hope to see you all on board!!

Wow you are just around the corner, I live across Valley Forge Park from K of P. Have you been to the Mall? I'm not impressed, but lots of people seem to be!

I guess we will be at the pool before we set sail, not sure how it all works with the safety drill and all that. We are in rm 2138 if anyone wants to say hi! I don't know anyone's name or how to recognize you so I guess I will just talk to anyone that has kids around ages 7 and 11;) If you see a blonde girl with los os muscles wearing something that says "gymnast" That will probably be my daughter.

We leave tomorrow night (driving) and the rest of the group is on the Train Friday morning. Did I mention we are all so excited???:woohoo: :woohoo:

Have a safe trip!!

I went to PA with DisneyJam for the first few days and was planning on going to Valley Forge until I realized we were staying essentially next door to the mall. I went to the half of the mall with Borders and Cheesecake Factory and couldn't believe that this mall was supposedly the 2nd largest mall in the country!! There was not much there. :confused3 So I went to lunch across the street and as I sat there I realized I hadn't seen Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom in my walking around the mall. It was only then that I realized there was another half!!:rotfl: I did buy some cute cruise clothes from the DIsney store and am now packing us up while DH finished his conference in PA. I am with you 100% Phoenixphantom - We are so excited!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

ARE WE THERE YET????

Phoenix... wow that's too funny. We should have done a quick meet and greet up here!

I walked around the mall last night. Other then it being big, I didn't really see anything that was so special, but I'm a guy and really don't notice these things. :confused3

I think you will be able to find me... I will rarely be seen without a Disney refillable beer mug in my hands. And if you catch JenLynn with our DD, you may think DD is adopted.

Well we are almost there. See you soon!!

Hope everyone had a great time!

Sorry I wasn't able to meet anyone. Scilla and I spent most of the time at the adult pool- If anyone was there on the last day, I finished 2nd in the Tarzan competition!

Also we spent all our evenings at Caddellac Lounge.

I caught a cold (sore throught) on the first day, and my worst day was Castaway Cay day  (just an excuse to book another cruise)
