Cruisin' June 24, 2007 -- Wonder

Anyone booking for 2008 yet? We've decided to wait -- we might do Wonder again because we aren't real excited about the stops on the West Coast Magic trips next summer.

  LOL... well if we are the only 20 on board, that will give us the ship to ourselves and a nice private island!

So Pats and Ravens eliminated. :confused3 Oh well... go Bears!!

We are not planning to book a crusie in '08 since we are headed to The World again! Not sure we can continue to afford cruising Disney though.

Anyone planning to get in on the day before the cruise? We usually get there the day before and stay at an airport hotel.... Pre curise party anyone? popcorn:: pirate:  :drinking1

We're arriving at WDW on June 20th. We'd love to meet before the cruise, but we might not have a car so it will depend on where everyone wants to meet.

I'll be at the GF from the 18th-24th before the cruise:cloud9:

For anyone staying at the parks beforehand, are you just using Disney Transportation to get to the boat?

We'll be at the GF June 20th - 24th, and 28th - 30th. I can't decide if we will rent a car on our arrival. We need one on the 28th, because we're going to do the Kennedy Center before going back to WDW. Normally, though, we rent a limo to take us to the port.

We're booked on this cruise! It will be me, my husband, our 3yo daughter and our son, who will be 10 months. We were on the 7 night Eastern on 2/17 and rebooked on board for this cruise. We initially booked the 3 night on the 21st, but we thought it would be too short so we changed to the 24th. It seems pretty crowded, we could only get a Cat 8., though there are some 5s and 6s available to parties smaller than 4.

Hopefully this bump will bring some more cruisers to the thread!

Welcome! I'm glad to see another family join our group. It's certainly been a quiet thread so far!

I noticed that. We're also booked on the 5 night for 9/1/08 and that thread already has 75 pages!

This ship is way crowded already so I know there must be other DISers out there.

We have decided to do a Day at Altanis. Now the question is do we get a day pass, or book a room for the night at comfort suites?:confused3

Hey gang! We booked our air the other day so now we just need to wait till we can start booking excursions! :cool1:

Where is everyone? I was just thinking it's only a little over 3 months to the cruise and it's still very quiet here :confused3 Hopefully, we are going to start picking up the pace over the next couple of months.

Oh and welcome to the "party" Justthat!

Hey guys!

I think we've decided to skip Palo this time. I love the food there, but since we only have 4 nights, I think we'll just stick to the regular dining rooms.

I'm having a hard time planning the cruise -- since we've only done 7 nights, I'm afraid we will feel rushed if we do any of the things we usually do like the spa villas, Palo, etc.

I'm also still researching Atlantis vs. Comfort Suites. I found a good price on Comfort the other day, but forgot to write down where I was surfing! I really need to get my act together and confirm everything. I still haven't gotten all of our ADRs for before and after the cruise, and normally I'm so organized!

How is everyone else doing in their planning?

Expedia was having really cheap prices for Atlantis the other day for some special summer promotion- just check and they still have the price

Thanks for the info -- I'm going to look right now!

Edited to add -- I just booked it, and was able to get Atlantis for only a few more dollars than Comfort -- which will be easier to not have to go over to the different hotel. Thank you again for the info -- I owe you a drink!

No problem- still debating weather or not we are going to book a room for the day

We have heard of people getting day rooms at Atlantis. Just curious what this gets you. Do you need to be a hotel guess to use the facilities? We were thinking of heading over there to see it, but weren't planning on a day room. Will we still be allowed to go to there beach? Thanks for any info.

We are planning Palo for at least brunch and possibly a dinner as well. Last cruise we did a later dinner at Palo. So we still ate at our regular dinning room at normal time, but went to Palo later that night for a second dinner. You get to experience everything this way.

We have our post cruise plans booked as well. We are going to stay at the Hard Rock hotel at Uninversal Studios for a few nights. We figured since we were at WDW over Thanksgiving, we would try something different.

Well hope everyone is doing well!!

Hi everyone!! I am DisneyJam's wife and am starting to get excited about summer vacation plans. (I teach 4th grade and we just finished state testing to it feels like the school year is "winding down.") :yay:

Last time we were on the Wonder I didn't get off the ship in Nausau and so this time I want to explore a bit. Definitely some shopping and I heard there was a pretty cool pirate museum behind the straw market. Other than that, as DH said, we might head over to Atlantis. I have never seen it so the voyeur in me is coming out because I want to see it! ;)

Hope this thread gets jumpin'!!!

This is my understanding of Atlantis -- from time to time, they do offer day rooms, but only when they aren't full. That's why I went ahead and made a reservation for a room. Getting a room there gives you access to the pools, beach, slides and I think, the Dig (aquarium) as well. I don't know how the new AQUAventure park plays in to all of it.

We've done several short cruises and visited the Atlantis, but this is the first time we are getting a room so we can use the pools/slides. It's a neat place to visit, even if you only walk through the hotel and around the grounds. Be warned, it's a lot of walking! That place is huge. The marina there by the hotel is fabulous! We saw yachts with boats and helicopters on their decks!

Thanks Marci! Sounds like a neat place to visit!

So we are only about 3 months away from our trip! Where is everyone? Shouldn't we all be a little more excited about the trip by now? Our docs should be coming soon right? If I recall it was around the 90 day mark.

I just put my summer vacation scehdule in to our resource planner at work so check one more item off the list. :cool1:
