Cruises & motion sickness

We are leaving to cruise on the Allure of the Seas in 17 days, whoo hoo:woohoo:!!!

Anywhoo, DH and I are traveling with another couple. DH and the wife of the other couple are VERY prone to motion sickness.

DH takes the scopolamine patch and it works just fine for him. The wife starts taking ginger capsules 3 days before boarding, and then 3 times a day on board, and she has no issues with motion sickness.

We also try to get a cabin as close to mid ship as possible.

Sometimes, things are just a trial and error to see what works for you.

This is why I'm terrified to take a cruise.

MIL thinks their wonderful and keeps mentioning a Disney cruise, but I honestly don't think we can do it.

Our two younger kids and I have severe motion sickness. They vomit every time they get into a vehicle since they were 8-10months old. :sad2: I've had issues since I was a kid and it seems to be getting worse over the last few years (now I even feel sick when I'm driving, I cannot watch video games, etc.) We have yet to find anything that works for the kids.
