Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

Hey Chris-

Not sure if I posted here since you got the new clippie. If I haven't said it yet, congrats!!! You are really doing a great job. :cool1:

After going through my journals I found I miscalculated October by a pound. So I fixed that and everything is right.

I did go to the movies last night and saw The Weatherman. Wish I would have picked another movie. It was okay, not great given it was Nicolas Cage. I was disappointed (a LOT of swearing). I also had a medium popcorn with butter but she didn't put it on so it was without butter. I ended up gaining .5 pounds when I got on the scale today.

Today I put a roast in the crockpot and that is clearly a huge downfall of mine. I tend to pick while I'm making the rest of dinner after taking it out of the crockpot and right now I'm miserably full.

BUT, I did go workout today. Today was the first Sunday that Jazzercise was open on a Sunday AND it was an 80 minute workout. It was a GREAT workout. Glad I went.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Hopefully I'll get to journals this week. I thought I was going to be able to stay caught up. Everytime I get to one and think I'll be able to get farther then something makes me get away from them with something I need to do.

Keep on

Well yesterday ended up being weird. We ate dinner at 3:30 because dd had a meeting at church. I ate plenty and was stuffed. Than about an hour later it was like I hadn't eaten all day and I had a granola bar in the morning, a LC spaghetti and 18 ounce glass of skim milk, and then 1 cup white rice, 6 ounces of beef, 1 1/2 cup green beans, 12 ounce glass of skim milk. So I had plenty to eat yesterday. Or so I thought. Because I became "starved" I ended up eating more last night ending with a full large bowl of popcorn (no butter). Got on the scale this morning and fully expected at least a one pound gain. Instead it was a .5 loss, the .5 that I gained the day before.

I did drink 90 ounces of water yesterday so that was a good thing (and was up 4 times during the night because of it).

So back to writing everything down today - I really fail on that on the weekends. I tried not writing down a few weekends and that bombed me so I went back to writing when I can. The weekends I'm really bad. So hopefully this working out on Sunday's will now help me quite a bit.

Have a great day everyone!
Keep on

Well the last couple of days have been hard ones and because of it I've gained again. But only a pound at this point. So I'm at 41 off and not gaining much momentum. I haven't been writing anything down, although I have been trying to watch what I'm eating. I'm so hungry all the time, perhaps it's because I've been working out so much - 4 days in a row, but I'm done now until Saturday so maybe that will spur something.

Yesterday I did drink 126 ounces of water. TOM starts next week and I think that has contributed to some of the need for feed. Hopefully I can combat this and get these last 9 pounds off to meet my goal. If I don't, oh well. I'll keep going.

Today is a new day. Don't know what the next few days will bring as I am so busy the next couple of days.

Chris

I know what you mean about the weekends! It is really hard because it is not a set schedule like during the work week. I'm sure eventually you will get to the point where you can write all your stuff down just like during the week!

You are still doing great! Even if you don't meet your goal by your specified date, you WILL meet it eventually! And you always have big surprise losses, so I don't think you have anything to worry about! Especially with your new workout class.

Keep it up, you can do it!! :cheer2:

Hi Chris,

You're doing well, all that water usually helps me, I bet it will for you too. And TOM is always good for a pound or two on the scale, I have found.

Good for you with the working out. Don't you feel good when you put all that energy into making yourself healthier?!

Have a good weekend. :sunny:

HI Chris,

I have been missing and I see that you have made it to 40 pounds!!!! Way to go. That is great.

You are doing a great job, even if you did gain a little.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Keep up the good work

Hi Chris,

Sorry I have been missing lately!!! 9lbs from goal??? How awesome must that feel!!! I hope that you can bet into those habits you know help you, like writing everything down.

I hope the need to feed isn't too bad this weekend! :)

Hey guys. Sorry I've been sort of MIA lately but this was another very busy week. Next week will be no exception.

I have hit a total of 3 pounds off as of this morning for this month. Was getting into a great exercise groove and had a problem this morning. Was warmed up, had done 3 routines and was doing one I've done before where we do a hop across and then back and put your foot behind you twice. Well in the first placing the right foot behind my left I went to go release the foot and heard and felt this horrible pop in my calf. The feeling it I think shocked me. I ended, only after 10 minutes into Jazzercise, pulling (hopefully that's all) a muscle in my right calf. Right now it feels like a major charlie horse still - or the feeling after having a major charlie horse. So exercise is out for me probably for the next week, which I'm not very happy about. Fortunately one of the class managers is a massage therapist and has done sports therapy so she was very helpful for me. I have been keeping it moving but I am a bit scared about sleeping tonight and letting the leg tighten up, or letting is relax and then get a cramp during the night. So I'm going to sleep on the couch with my leg up on a pillow and bent some. I iced it and that helped some. Not fun and not what I needed.

Have been doing okay with eating but haven't been writing anything down. Been keeping my water intake up to at least 126 ounces. Went to a Chicago area DIS meet tonight and had a Grilled Chicken Basil salad with about 2 1/2 TBSP of Ranch dressing and two small breadsticks but no pizza and ate pretty good today. I'm feeling a bit swollen so we'll see what tomorrow scale produces, if I can comfortably stand on it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Keep on   (but just be careful and don't end up like me :earseek: )

Scale moved again - down another 1.5 so that puts me at a total of 44.5 and 5.5 until I hit my next goal of 50 pounds off. I'm really going to work hard the next couple of weeks to hit that.

Put a turkey breast in the crockpot today and can't wait until it's done. YUM YUM. Going to make homemade mashed potatoes, salad, low fat rolls, and green beans. Then have some turkey for leftovers for lunch during the week. Can't wait.

Leg is a bit looser this morning, can move a bit more but still very tight. I think this is going to take a week of resting and not pushing it :( .

Have a good day everyone.

you are doing great and you are so close to your next goal!!!!
Definitely dont push it and just rest :)
have a great week :)

Wow, you are doing so well with your weight loss recently!

Take care of yourself and that leg. :flower:

Got on the scale this morning and am holding steady. I thought I was going to sink myself when I got up and felt very bloated in my hands. I bought some cashews yesterday and throughout the day had accidentally eaten half the can :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Guess I can't guy those anymore. But when I got on the scale I was happily surprised. This is probably my first weekend that I have had a continuous loss which I'm thrilled about. I haven't been good about writing things down but I have been very conscientous about watching what I'm putting in my mouth.

Hopefully this week I can get to journals. Depends on how busy the boss keeps me at work ;) as I won't have any time this week at night.

Hope everyone has a great week.
Keep on

Just checking in with a 1 pound gain. Still haven't gotten back on track with writing everything down but I appear to be doing pretty good - which is good because I can't always write everything down plus I'm teaching myself to be more conscientous of what I'm putting in my mouth. Darned dd made popcorn again last night and I know that is some of my gain but TOM is also here tomorrow (or late today) and I can tell because I feel very bloated.

One plus, I bought a sweater outfit about 6 weeks ago and it was tight but I knew I'd be able to wear it later in the winter. Well it's lose and fits nice now - have gotten several nice comments about it and also was able to fit into some nice slacks that I bought 3 years ago and only wore one year. So that was nice.

Blustery icky day here - had some ice/snow last night, just enough to make the cars icky but roads were fine. Very windy here though. We actually have a wind chill today.

Prayers for those affected by any tornadoes last night. Very sad.

Hope everyone is having a good week. My apologies for not getting to journals - been a very busy couple of weeks. I will get to them soon.

Keep on
Chris

I'm sorry to hear about your injury. Listen to your body and ease back into exercising. Don't rush it!

You are doing really good considering you have been lax with your food journalling. That must mean that some of these good choices have become habit!! Yippee!!! :cheer2:

Good morning. Got to journals yesterday even if it was just a little blurb but then didn't get to mine. Have a few new ones I need to check and I'll do those this morning.

Got on the scale, even with this horrible TOM I'm having - I mean horrible (I'm miserable with a massive headache and cramp (sorry if TMI)) and I was down .5 pounds. So I'm sitting with a pound to go until I hit 45. Which I've been going back and forth on for a few weeks now.

On top of this I haven't been able to workout at all this week due to my calf injury from last Saturday but I'm going to give a little try tomorrow, going slow to see what I can do. I'm dying without being able to workout - I never thought I'd hear myself say that!!!!!

Start writing down what I was eating yesterday and got sidetracked and didn't get back to it. It is a goal on December to really get back to writing what I'm eating. I NEED to do that. But I have proved that I can do this without absolutely having to write down everything. I'm very excited for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see how I handle all the food. I know I'm not going to be able to eat anywhere near what I've been able to eat in the past and I'm excited about that. But the other piece is we will be at my sister in laws all day each day and I am going to have to make sure I cart snacks and everything with me, which is fine but a pain. Oh well. The one plus is we are staying at a hotel that has a workout facility and I have already told dh that I want to eat breakfast and workout before we head over to the house, even if it's only for 30 minutes.

Got another busy weekend going but hopefully a good one. Hope everyone has a great Friday and a good weekend. It's been chilly here and it has just amazed me at how cold I've gotten with 44 less pounds on me. I was always the one in the office that was hot and couldn't wear sweaters and had my fan on all winter. Now I'm the one wearing sweaters and saying how cold it is!!!! Funny huh?!

Take care everyone -
Keep on
Chris

Isn't is amazing how your body changes without all that extra weight? I bet you will do great at Thanksgiving. Sounds like you have a good plan in place. If you must nibble, just hang out by the veggie tray and you'll do fine!

Hi Chris,

Great job on the loss. That is great. 44 pounds....how great is that???? Keep up the good work.

I too have noticed that since I have lost 25 pounds that I am colder now too. I am always wearing sweaters and always have a blanket wrapped around me at home! It is a great feeling.

Have a wonderful weekend and keep up the good work!
