Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

He's on his way home!!!! FINALLY. Got a seat on an earlier flight then the flight was delayed for more than an hour and a half because of crew reasons - so frustrating I can't even imagine. But I just checked the flight tracker that I use and he's halfway home. I usually don't miss him while he's gone but it's been such a hectic week that I think I've missed him being here to help do things, but I have missed him too.

In two weeks we will be AT WDW!!!!!!! I can't wait.

The treats are not totally gone. I got too busy clearing snow last night so it's on the marker for tonight!!!!! I also had no clue that shoveling snow was so exercisingly helpful. I always really sweat when I do it but had no clue. Except for when my muscles hurt this morning!!!!!! :)

Thanks guys!!!
Chris

What a horrible horrible horrible weekend. I mean it wasn't bad but it was horrible on the food end!!!!! I lost all control whatsoever that I had. I'm not counting any weight until Wednesday morning but the scale this morning said I gained 3 pounds. That's okay, yesterday it said I gained 4 :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
I ate, ate, ate, ate. And I am feeling it. I worked out yesterday at Jazzercise and I'm going tomorrow night and Wednesday night. I'm stressed beyond stressed and I emotional ate this weekend. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb!!!!!! I just could kick myself. But we only do it to ourselves right. I am not above my 45 pounds gone right now. So I'm holding out until Wednesday and then I'll claim whatever it says on Wednesday morning. TOM will be making it's sight known by Wednesday or Thursday to top it off.

Oh well - just going to start over. Hope everyone had a great weekend! Two more day until dd is 16!!!!! We went out and drove the driving route, as she was told in drivers ed, and she did very well. I'm thinking she'll do fine now. Two weeks ago I wasn't so sure :)

Keep on

Hi Chris,

Happy Monday! I hear ya on the bad weekend. This weekend for me was pretty good, but the last few have been...well horrible!

Congrats on making it to 49 pounds....even though you gained this weekend, I am sure that you will get back to that.

Keep up the good work, glad to hear that your DH made it home safe and sound!

Have a great day!

Don't stress about the weekend gain! It will come off quickly. You might be surprised to see it gone by Wednesday. You are doing the right thing by upping your workouts and recognizing that you need to get back on track. You can do it! :cheer2:

'Tis official - I'M THE PARENT OF A TEENAGE DRIVER!!!! LOL After waiting for an hour and a half, after getting at the DMV before they opened (and then getting cut in line by two older people, thus having to wait 1 1/2 hours), jabbing dd to quit biting her fingernails she finally went out and did her driving test. I don't know who was more nervous - her or I. I think she was. But she passed with little problems - the lady gave her some suggestions that she didn't feel were bad enough to not pass her but beneficial for her to know. It's a huge load off of Britt's shoulders and I'm so proud of her. When she came back into the center she was just smiling!!!!! So pretty cool for her. But the worst part is - SHE'S 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay - so maybe that's not a bad part. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So food last night flunked again. I threw out all the bad food in my house. I had to, it was just too tempting for me. I was so swollen by the time I went to bed but didn't gain any weight. So now the bad food, and there wasn't much, is now gone. Tonight we will be having a nice dinner with French Silk pie (our tradition) but I'm not going to have much pie - I just can't.

Boss has 4 more days until she is on vacation and I so can't wait. She drives everyone nuts when she's trying to cram too much in and then her mind is just spinning and she starts saying things that she doesn't remember saying and doing things that others could be doing - it's a very huge control issue and I hate this week. But hopefully I've packed her schedule full enough that she will stay somewhat out of my hair!!!!! :)

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good for you getting all the junk out of the house! That is a huge step in the right direction. And besides, you will probably lose a ton of weight from stressing out about DD's driving by herself! :teeth:

Hopefully your boss will chill out a little after the holidays (you can hope anyway, right?). You will get back on track with your eating soon. It is so hard during the holidays, but you can do it! :cheer2:

Well weighing in this morning was not good. But better than the last two days. I've had to change my loss for this month to 1.5 pounds from the 4 that I had lost previous to last week.

Oh well - on to another week and trying to get this off before we leave next week for WDW. We'll see.

Hope you have a good rest of the week. We are in single digits!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi Chris,

Don't worry, you will are doing just great!!!!

Hope you are having a wonderful Thursday! Keep up the great work!

Your weight will go back down - it always does! How exciting, your trip is so close! When you are back from WDW and the holidays are over, you will be able to get back into a routine and you will see that scale moving in the right direction again. :cool1:

Chris,

Now just think of all the good things about having a teen driver in the house...all those errands you won't have to run (until the novelty of driving wears off).

Many of my seniors were just getting their licenses at age 18. Here in Washington, there are so many restrictions for the 16-year old drivers that many just decide to wait until they are older. I couldn't imaging waiting when I was that age (and neither could my parents...guess who got stuck taking my sister's cheer team around.)

Don't beat yourself up over a bad food weekend. It is so frustrating that it comes on so fast but takes forever to get off.

We leave a week from today and I am so not ready to go - I mean I'M ready to go but nothing else is. Dh has a horrible ear infection in both ears and is not sure if he'll be able to fly. My throat has been hurting so I went back to the doc and my sinus infection is still there along with an ear infection in my right ear. On another round of different antiobiotics. Dad called me this morning and he had a doc appt for his cholesterol and blood pressure checkup and he also has a sinus infection and ear infection. I hope we all get rid of this and dd doesn't get it before we go!!!!!!! I'm making sure I'm taking the insurance cards just in case. The problem with dh is his inner ears are so infected that if he doesn't clear up enough he can risk blowing his eardrums out and so he can't fly. The next week should be interesting.

Food has been okay - TOM started yesterday but weight has been the same. Can't wait for this one to be over - it's been a bad one again. I need to start talking to the doctor about these very bad, very painful TOM's.

Have a good weekend - we have another busy one!

Wow, what an awful time to get sick! But you can be thankful it is happening beforehand, so you have at least a fighting chance to get it cleared up before you leave. I hope everyone is OK and gets to go! :wizard: :wizard:

Hang in there! You will survive this next week!!! :cool1:

12/17/05

6 more days to go and it couldn't come any faster!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: But got A LOT to do before then.

Got on the scale this morning and I was down a pound, finally!!!!! TOM is really wreaking havoc on my body this time around (figures) and so no workout for me today. I'm going to try and get on the treadmill at home so I'm close to the bathroom if needed. Tomorrow I'm making dinner for the homeless shelter here in our town and so not sure if I'll be able to go workout tomorrow - plus don't know if TOM will allow me all that jumping.

My boss and I were meeting yesterday and walking down the hallway together and as she came out of her office and I came out of mine she said "You've lost a lot of weight haven't you?" and I told her yes, almost 47 pounds. She was like WOW and told me she could really tell. There are certain clothes that I am wearing now that you can really tell and some that you can't tell much. She is an eating disorder specialist and she asked me if I was eating okay and healthily and I told her yes. Losing 47 pounds in 4 months really is a lot of weight in a short time. I told her I have been stuck in this 45-49 pound range for over a month now so it's now going slowly. When I was in high school I lost 50 pounds in about the same amount of time but I was over exercising and not eating much food - come to find out I was probably exhibiting signs of an eating disorder - I wasn't purging or binging, I was over exercising and not eating hardly anything. Can't do that these days - I tried that a few years ago and I was starved after the first day, and I liked food too much!

Thanks guys

What a great compliment from your boss! It's times like those that make you forget she is such a pain in the butt (for a couple minutes anyway! :rotfl: )

You are losing weight the right way and you should be proud of that. You are doing it with diet and exercise and no surgery or other gimmicks.

Way to go Chris!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Right Amy - and then the true side comes out :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: But it was really nice because Friday was her last day before she left for vacation and now it's PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!   (yeah right).

12/19/05

Scale was up a bit this morning but I'm not counting anything again until Wednesday. I'm really going to push to get down to 50 before I leave and don't know if I'll make it. Gonna workout tonight, tomorrow night and Wednesday night and then that's it for the month (on top of the exercise I'll get at Disney). I did do some very serious housecleaning yesterday and counted 1 hour - heavy serious vacuuming, scrubbing bathrooms, floors, and the kitchen stove.

Made the meal for the homeless shelter and it turned out okay. Hope they had enough to eat - this was the first time I've seen that many people there. Sad but glad we have a place in our town for them to go.

Gonna try to catch up on journals during the day this week - hope I make it to everyone before I leave. I started on Friday when I was breaking the girls up front for lunch but didn't get very far.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week -only 4 day until we leave and 5 days until Christmas!!!!

You must be SO excited about your trip! I always get so antsy I can't sleep for the couple days before we leave...

Even if you don't make your goal of 50# before you leave, be proud of yourself that you are almost to that magical number! You know you'll get there soon!

Keep it up, way to kick up the workouts before you leave! :cheer2:

Thanks Amy - I did it, went to Jazzercise tonight and I busted butt too!!!!! And it felt good! I got tired with about 10 minutes left but kept pushing. This sinus infection still is not gone and I think I need one more round of antibiotics. Hope he keeps me on them for the next 5 days. My swollen gland has gone down quite a bit in the last 2 days.

Tonight I made the Banquet Crock Pot Beef Stew and it was YUMMY!!!!!!! I'm having the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It was very tasty and easy! 1 cup is only 210 calories. And 1 cup is a lot if you have something else with it. I had leftover Low Fat, Low Carb Wheat rolls by Pillsbury. Good combination on a cold day/night - currently it's 3 degrees!!!!!

Hope everyone had a good day - I got a lot of cleaning and filing done in my office today with the boss gone. A bit more tomorrow and then gotta tackle her office!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Mmm, I love stuff in the crockpot! In fact I have a pork loin with carrots, red potatoes and onions cooking in there right now!

I'm glad you felt so great getting that workout in! You are on the home stretch, only a couple more days and you will be on vacation!!! :cool1:

Do you have a plan for eating while you are away or are you just going to enjoy yourself since you are on vacation? Whatever you do, enjoy that special time with your dad!

12/20

I had some of a gain this morning but I'm the day after TOM and I always gain the day after. So I'm not counting it. Not counting anything until tomorrow!!!!!

I don't have a definite plan. But I do know pretty much everywhere that we are going to eat. I've already packed and shipped 100 calorie packs and granola bars to take with me. I'm going to try to stick to chicken as much as possible with maybe some beef stuck in there. And definitely going to stop when I'm full. If it's after a platefull at the buffets, then dh is just going to have to understand that I can't eat $25 worth of food. I think he's already gotten use to that when we've gone to regular restaurants. I'm not going to deny myself anything if I want it, I'm just going to do it moderately. The hardest place for me will be Beaches and Cream and 50's. But I think I'm going to see if dd will split quite a few meals at places like that with me. I'm already planning for at least a 10 pound gain (that's why I really want to get this last 3.5 pounds off). I know that's a lot of a gain but I don't want to be disappointed if I do gain that much. I'm really going to work hard on NOT gaining that much. I just don't want to get myself down about it.

The hardest part will be getting all my water in each day. We are taking water bottles with us so we can keep drinking but for me it's the constant need to go to the bathroom that will be hard. My goal will be 4 water bottles a day. If I hit that, then I should be good.

My throat is still swollen, has now moved to the middle of my throat. I finished the last antibiotic pill this morning and going to see the doc this afternoon. Hopefully he'll give me some more antibiotic. DD woke up this morning with a sore throat so it's off to the doc for her tomorrow morning!!!!!!! Dad is beginning to feel better and dh is slightly feeling better. We'll see what the doc says this afternoon.

Keep on
