We (DW, 1 yo DS, and I) are planning on taking a 4 day Disney cruise next June. I have a couple of ?s about making this reservation, and figured this is the best place to turn.

I'd like to use points to pay for one adult and cash to pay for the other adult and DS. Can I only do this through DVC Member Services? I'm sure I could get a cheaper rate elsewhere, but since I'm using points, am I stuck?

Also, since we have been on a cruise before, will I get any Castaway Club benefits by paying cash for one adult and using points for the other?

Finally, does anyone one know of the itineraries for the 4-day cruise next June? I heard that the Freeport stop was being eliminated, but we'd like to take advantage of that stop if it's still available.

Thanks

Yes you are stuck. Your choices are to pay cash or to go through MS for points for at least one adult and pay the contract price. The cash price you pay for the other 2 through MS will undoubtedly be more than the price you'd pay otherwise. Look at both options then decide as you may find the price difference too large to do only one with points. The other downside to points is that you have far less cancellation options.

Have you thought of renting out your points and using the cash to pay for the cruise?
