Can the CD that includes all the pictures taken during the cruise be paid with a Disney Gift card? Can it be applied and paid before the cruise or only on the cruise if possible?

You can purchase the CD pre-cruise (typically with a 15% lower rate than you will find onboard). I know if you purchase onboard, the charge goes to your onboard account. And you can put Gift Cards (as a credit) on your onboard account.

In looking at the My Cruise Photos website, it appears that pre-purchases can only be done via VISA, MasterCard, and AmEx credit cards.

can anyone tell me the difference between the "All prints" and the "CD" for the photos beside the price (which is about $100) . I know with the "All prints" you get all of your photos while on the ship. Does anyone know do you get the photos in the all print package that they take while you are at port? Does anyone know if I do the "CD" will I get any prints to take home with me or will I have to purchase them? The My Cruise Photos web site it not all that helpful. Any input about the photos would be GREAT!!!!! Thanks

The CD (digital package) is a CD with images of all photos taken of your party during the cruise (one price). Or you can opt for the "all prints" package - printed photos of all pictures taken of your party (usually same price as just the CD). Or you can opt for the CD plus prints - the full CD plus all photos printed (full CD price plus $100).

If you get the CD only, you can have any of the images printed (either by yourself or from a photo printing location) once you are home. You pay for printing costs on your own.

There are sometimes also 10, or 20 photo packages.

Individual photo prices are (last I knew) $20.95 for 8X10 (formal photos and roving photographers) and $14.95 for 6X8 (character photos).

There are also 6, 10, 15, and 20 photo packages (varies by cruise). The packages are 6 ($99.95), 10 ($149.95), 15 ($199.95), and 20 ($249.95) photos. Different length cruises have different options. These options are available as prints or digital. If you purchase the digital package, you actually receive the full CD (all photos) but can only "unlock" (6, 10, 15, or 20) photos once you return home to print.

If you want the full CD, each room must purchase their own. Only exception to this is when there is a nuclear family in 2 rooms (mom & kid(s) in one room, dad & kid(s) in second room). In that case they allow both rooms to be on one CD.

If you have multiple rooms (non-nuclear family), if one room purchases the full CD, the second room can purchase the CD for 50% off, last I heard.

If only one room purchases the full CD, any photos taken with at least one person from that room in them will be included in the CD.

Also curious about this - and I understand that borders are automatically added to all our photos - if we buy the digital package are we allowed to print any photos using another service such as shutterfly?

Photo locations - usually 3 or 4 in the atrium area on most nights. Character photo locations vary, but there are some. Also, roving photographers on Castaway Cay and in the dining rooms (particularly on formal and theme-specific nights).

If you purchase the CD (or any digital package) you get the rights to reprint wherever you wish.

If your room (you, DH & child) purchases the CD, you can go to shutters to have your minor children in the other room included on your CD. BUT, any photos of grandma only won't be on there.

If you want to be able to include grandma on the CD (in her own photos), I'd suggest you switch your husband and grandma in the two rooms. That way everyone will be included in whatever configurations you do.
