Cruise Meet -April 21, 2012 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Wendy&Grumpy you are now added to the FE list :)

Welcome to the newbies and Congratulations to the 1st time Disney Cruisers! :cheer2:

Someone wanted more information of the FE... Hope this helps!

What is a FE? It is a “Fish Extender” meaning a pocket of some type that hangs from your Disney Cruise Line “fish” outside your door, where Cast Members leave your confirmations and such.

This is a fun game started by a group of travelers to make the Cruising experience just a little bit more FUN. It is sort of like a Secret Santa… you will get a final listing prior to cruising (about 15 days prior) of who all is participating, so you can leave little “gifts” or “goodies” in others FE’s. You can do as many or as few as you like, there is NO rules or guidelines, it is meant to be fun for all and not to cause worry or stress – we are all on vacation – good times only!!

Ideas of other peoples gifts for suggestions and ideas: something to represent your state/country, favorite snack food, cruise themed items (beach balls, sunglasses..), pencils. It is just meant to be a fun little surprise when you get back to your rooms, not a huge investment of money! REMEMBER FUN!

Where do I get a FE? Many people have purchased theirs from Ebay or you can make your own. This is completely up to you.

How do I participate in a FE? You just send nikicares a private message with your information to be added. Please include: DIS board ID, guest names, how many adults, how many kids (and ages), stateroom number, dining seating, health concerns, and special celebrations. THANK YOU

Welcome FrostMommy!

We will be on this cruise! It will be me, my wonderful hubby, and our four kiddos. My kids are an 11-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, and a 7-month-old boy. Of course, they will all be older by the time the cruise rolls around. We are going to be staying in two adjoining family verandas, but not sure exactly which ones yet. My mother-in-law is going to join in on the fun this time and will be staying with us. We are so excited about the new ships!

I just checked the prices and am glad I moved my cruise to this one -- I can't even select any Cat 9A's anymore.

Only 430 days to go, gang! Has anyone tried shore excursions that weren't booked through Disney? We're considering horseback riding but we'd be on our own to book. Any thoughts?

We're just paid our deposit, we're booked on the cruise - yay

Fair warning - we were on the crusie that never ended (see above link) I think my luck may have caused it all.

Can't wait to see you all there.

We are likely going to sea world before we set sail, I'm off the that board to look for hints. :surfweb:

Oh my gosh! We were on this cruise too! Haha....what a coincidence.

Sorry, I have not posted enough to include the link.

I'm seeing a trend here, I'm scared, wonder if i can pack a lifeboat in my carry on?

I've added 6 boxes of gallon ziploc bags, superglue, fishing line, and bubblegum to my packing list. We should be able to MacGyver a raft outta that. ;)

Just got off the Dream and boy is she A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. Was our first ever cruise and cannot imagine sailing on any of the other "ships" we saw in port. Lol! We had a little excitement with a raging inferno in a warehouse right at the port in Nassau...got a late start to the day but were able to get in the shopping I wanted to do! Booked onboard for this Fantasy cruise for us, my bro-in-law and wife and friends from Colorado! It's gonna be so much fun!!!!!
:cool1:

Welcome aboard! Glad you got to have a taste of what the Fantasy will bring (though I did hear on the podcast something about upgrading the enchanted artwork for the Fantasy).
