Cruise Meet -April 21, 2012 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Hello:)
You don't have to pay the day you book reservations. You will get charged to your room account once onboard, and for me it wasn't until after the dinners, excursions, etc. You can book excursions, dinner and brunch at Palo (also tea) and dinner at Remy. Tastings will be booked once onboard. As for the FE...each sailing chooses what they want to do. In my past FE groups we didn't have set days or times and it seemed to work out great. Although, I am up for anything so whatever we chose will be fine.

I know some groups.....if they gets too large, will break up into smaller FE groups so that you don't have to bring extra luggage to bring FE's and take stuff home with you! :rotfl: We actually DID have to bring an extra carry-on size suitcase for FE's on our Sept. trip. Hoping to not have to do that again! LOL! Might be something to consider?

I hope to book Palo Brunch this month when my window opens. I have some things for the FE gifts, I just need to come up with something more...

I forgot, one moe question...

For those of you with Children, are you getting or do you already have passports for the kids? We still need to do this...

Cindy

We have both passports and passport cards for our kids.

They also have state issued ID cards.

I keep the passport books in my carry on bag, and use the cards.

We have had them for many years. Save yourself time and aggravation by taking your own passport photos. You can print them out on paper using a color laser or inkjet printer. You get the photos you want to use and save $$.

You can get the passport applications from the state department online and have everything done when you go to apply for the passport/card.

We board 15 weeks from today:woohoo::yay::banana:

:cool1::dance3::woohoo:

So excited!!! I just completed our online check-in! Don't forget to do that as soon as you are able! The early port arrival times will fill up fast! We got the 11am time, which is the earliest. :goodvibes

I finally got around to taking a picture of the rest of the items we gave out as cabin gifts on our Dec Dream cruise. Thought I would share as I had said I would.....

First here are the tags that I used for all the gifts. One of which doubled as an additional keepsake. The “hand” crafted was a label I used on the back of the main gift.

Everyone including the kids got a personalized Mickey head with their first initial cut out. Also, for each cabin I made cutouts with the Dream logo and the dates of our cruise. These could be used as scrapbook embellishments, bulletin board decorations or as magnets. Or anything that I didn’t think of LOL.

Here are a couple more of the embellishments along with a photo frame. *note: this frame is missing the dates on the top portion. I lost the last rub-on for it.*I included the second photo in the frame so everyone could know and have a template to cut their favorite picture from the cruise. Its original version was a 2.5” circle.

Now all I have to do is get through a Lego b-day party at the end of the month and I can start on the FE gifts for this cruise. yeah!!!:cool1:

Can we only Register starting on 22 Jan?

Do we receive our boarding number once we complete DCL's registration?

Thanks,

John

I believe you are a first time cruiser. The on-line check-in date should be listed on your reservation on the DCL site. As long as you are paid in full then you can complete the on-line check-in process. While you are checking in, there will be a window for you to select your window for showing up at the Port.
You will not receive your boarding number until you arrive at the Port and have proceeded upstairs.

Online check-in is not connected to when you pay off your trip in full, as I have not done so yet, and won't till the first week of Feb. But, since I'm Gold CC member, I was allowed to complete online check-in already. We have our port arrival time and printed out all the docs to bring with, but just can't schedule shore excursions or make ressies for anything until payment is made in full. ;)

:thumbsup2 I stand corrected! I'm gold too but usually try to pay it off before the on-line check-in time because otherwise I get all wiggy about it (personal issue :rotfl:). So in my mind, I must have them connected. ;)
