Cruise Meet -April 21, 2012 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

OK...looks like Donald Quakers earned the first pirate: :dance3:
Warrenite earned the second :yay:
DMMarla won #3 and #4!! :cheer2:

Silly stuff...

Hi there everyone!! I am so excited to say this April 21st Disney Cruise is my first cruise ever!!! We booked out cruise just about one year ago, and it is hard to beleive we are almost 100 days away!
I have done TONS of research on special tips and suggestions for our cruise and the one thing I am so excited for is to participate in the Fish Extender fun! How can I get signed up?

One more thing, does any of the seasoned DCL Cruisers have any suggestions or reccomendations for myself and family cruising on the Fantasy April 21st- 28th?

So excited, can hardly stand it!!:cool1:

Cindy

:welcome: Colosunn!

Well I just saw how many posts we have 498, sooooo I wanted to post 2 more to make 500! On my last cruise in August, our meets page had a game where whoever landed on the 100th post earns a pirate:. So ( 200, 300, etc.) earns a pirate head.. I know silly, but fun. We checked our meets page frequently to be the winner. So I will get this started for fun...

:thumbsup2

Happy New Year!
Finally in the right year for our trip!:dance3:
We can technically say we are sailing in 3 months (even though it is more like 4)!!

We worked a little on FE gifts yesterday!

:welcome: Cindy! You can either PM your information for the FE to nikicares or fill out the form here.

And Happy New Year to all!

Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and Happy New Years to everyone. Now that it is the new year I'll be counting down the days till this cruise:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes

I'm so excited!!! :woohoo:

Can't wait til I make the final payment & then tell my niece about the cruise, she has no idea we've booked it. I plan to tell her on Valentine's day, I can't believe I've kept the surprise this long! Plan to join the FE, but want to be sure DH is coming on cruise. He is being a curmudgeon (not a Disney fan) and my back out of the cruise. I hope he comes, not crazy about going w/o another adult. Not sure what I will do by myself when DN is in kids club?

Just enjoy the sun, peace and quiet poolside! There are tons of activities you could enjoy. The Rainforest spa is soooo nice. It is fairly cheap and very worth it. Take a book in there and relax! She could be with you most of the time. I certainly understand wanting another adult with you, but you would still have a fantastic time.

Welcome rolipolieoliefan! Hard to believe it's almost here for me too. At least I have a Disney weekend trip scheduled for next month, that's just 3 weeks away.

Please be sure to sign our roster if you plan on joining the FE group (nikicares is running that, you can also submit your info here). I'm hoping to get a group shot on embarkation day in the Lobby Atrium by the Minnie Mouse statue around 3pm, feel free to join!

And have a Happy New Year!

Hi everyone!! We just switched our cruise dates from October to the April 21st Fantasy sailing! I'm so excited that we don't have to wait until October to sail again!! I'm already having withdrawals!!! :rotfl: I just filled out the FE form and submitted it via the link above. We participated in the FE on the 3 night Dream in Sept. It was so much fun, but I don't think I'd do it again on a 3 or 4 nighter!! We spent the whole 3 nights delivering goodies to staterooms! 3 nights is just not enough time, especially if you have a big FE group! Excited that we'll have more time on this cruise! :cool1: My daughter LOVED coming back to the cabin and finding goodies!

I feel so behind! I see your chat thread started a LONG time ago! I'll have to get all caught up! ;) This cruise will just be my 6 year old DD and I. My teenagers aren't interested in coming. :confused3

Woot Woot - we got our Palo Brunch booked for day 6 (at sea), and our Cabana for Castaway, along with our couples massage on Castaway :cool1:

I believe that each booking window (120 days, 75 days...) each have a select number of ressies for Palo, Remy and such (though not sure about the Cabanas) and typically there are some ressies that open up when you get on the ship...

Hoping everyone gets to experience what they want!

For any of you who have been able to book ressies already.....do you know anything about how they are going to handle the BBB (Bibbity Bobbity Boutique) reservations on the Fantasy? Just curious since the whole BBB at sea is a new thing! My daughter thinks it's going to be sooooo great to have that at sea! lol! Technically, I could start booking reservations on Jan. 7th, but I won't be able to make final payment until the first week of Feb. so I'll have to wait. :sad2:

I think I just found the answer to my own question. :goodvibes Did a little digging and came up with this: http://www.fairytalejourneys.com/20...idi-boutique-offerings-on-the-disney-fantasy/

If they don't start taking ressies for BBB until mid-Feb, then I'll have my trip paid off by then and can hopefully snag a ressie!!

Welcome, welcome, welcome...

The more the merrier!
My teen and tween love DCL. I would say try to talk them into it, but the last thing you want on a DC is grumpiness!! We sometimes have to do some attitude adjusting when DD11 gets tired:rotfl: Our FE group is going to be awesome! I have done it twice now and only had 12 and 13 families participate...so this will be a big one for us. I have noticed the last 2 months before the cut off date we have gathered a lot of new families participating, so I think this should be a big group!:yay:

Welcome, MikellaCinderella! We're coming up to the 90 day mark -- I'll be checking in while I'm at WDW in BLT. Can't wait to see everyone.

Booked the cruise a year ago and paid for the airfare today. I guess we're going!!

Welcome to everyone just joining.
I'm starting to get jealous of everyone being able to book.:lmao: I'm not so patiently waiting for February. Time sure has flown since they started building the Fantasy. On Saturday she floats out of the dock she is in.

Yea, they got me on that one!...... It wasnt there on our last stop at St Thomas.

Here is a trip report from someone that was there recently:

S'okay. My DH loves it when I have one of the ah-ha moments too. :lmao:

Thanks for digging up the Trip Report. Makes me feel a little better about it. Now we for sure have to get the passport stuff sent off now that we are back home from the holidays.

My teens just want to try something different......we've cruised Disney so much and been to the parks a dozen times......I'm ok with that. They also refuse to miss any school (weird, I know! lol)!!

Today I paid the final leg of our flights!! Now the Cruise is paid for, the Flight to FLorida and home from Florida are paid for!!! Things are really starting to happen! It is crazy to think we booked the cruise a year ago! Time has already gone by so fast!

I have a question for those of you who have already been able to book things for the cruise, like dinner, excursions etc. When I am able to do this in February how does it work? Will i sign up for things and pay for that day in February? And also, what kinds of things can we sign up for at that time?

One more question, this has to do with teh FE. With such a large group that it looks like we are going to have will each family deleiver gifts every night, or will it be a specific night? I am confused as to how it actually works. So excited though, got the fabric to make our Fish Extender!!! :):):)

Can't wait!!!
Cindy princess:

I forgot, one moe question...

For those of you with Children, are you getting or do you already have passports for the kids? We still need to do this...

Cindy

Hello:)
You don't have to pay the day you book reservations. You will get charged to your room account once onboard, and for me it wasn't until after the dinners, excursions, etc. You can book excursions, dinner and brunch at Palo (also tea) and dinner at Remy. Tastings will be booked once onboard. As for the FE...each sailing chooses what they want to do. In my past FE groups we didn't have set days or times and it seemed to work out great. Although, I am up for anything so whatever we chose will be fine.
