As a mother that is preparing for a cruise next year, I am have a few concerns about putting our names on our door. We're traveling for DS's 5th birthday and I would not want to do anything to jeopardize anyone's safety. Has anyone had any problems? I would imagine that onboard the ship there is a safe, friendly, family-type atmosphere, but we're first timers, so I don't know.

You are correct it is a very friendly and a family atmosphere but that is not to say that there are not negative people on board. I prefer to keep my names to frst names only. I would and have used the kids first names too. If you are comfortable introducing yourself to folks when you meet them the first time you might be confortable with names on a door decoration.

Now let me explain why we personalize them. !st is to make it easy for the family to find the right door when looking for the stateroom. Without the decoration they can all look the same. Second is if they have names on them they are less likely to be picked up and taken home by another person. The thought is it is the kids and teens when they are out on their own taking them but they have been know to grow legs and walk away. This is less likely to happen if they are personalized.

If you are not comfortable putting names on them then ask for your room number. This will let the parents know where to return the goodies the younger ones might take because they like them. It won't help with the older kids because the parents will never see them. The positive this is this does not happen all that often but it does happen.

I feel the same way. I just use the personalized magnets for inside of the room, the unnammed ones go on the outside.

I promise this is my very last request! (I know, I said that on the last one but I really mean it this time.) I just found on your photobucket an Oklahoma Sooners tag! I would just print that one off but it has Nov. in the left hand corner. If you can't do one up with Sept. I will just print it up with Nov. and put something over that but I hate to do that because it might not look right and it would alter your design and I don't think that is legal. I sure don't want to break the law nor alter your excellent designs. So I guess I can just use it with Nov. on it if you can't do one with Sept.

Anyway, DH is the biggest Sooner fan ever and I am a Sooner alumni so we would love to have this but TOTALLY understand if you can't cuz it is so close to sailing date. I should have looked SOONER lmao but every time I do, I find more designs I want!
