We are thinking of booking a cruise for the first time using points. I am a bit confused about how the points work. When it says the points cover 1/st/2nd passengers what does that mean? The points cover the first 2 adults and then you add in the kids or do you have to use double points for the first 2 passengers? Thanks....:p

Each first and second passanger is X number of points...So, you double it...and then add what ever additional travelers at the other rates ....adult or child....

If one passanger is an adult and the second is a child you still calculate 2 adults for the first 2 passengers

During Jan. I used points for the cruise. We used 87 pts per person on the four day Disney Wonder. Had a great time. The food and entertain on the ship were excellent. However, in retrospect it may not have been the best way to use the points. The day after we booked using points the cruise line discounted and I could have saved the points and made it a cash deal.

Prior to booking I would check. MS advised me they have no way of knowing when the effective dates of discounts. Another option would have been to book using points for one person and then pay cash for the other. It should also be noted when booking with points it includes food. You will have a great time. Enjoy!!
