Hello everyone. We got a great price on the 7 day eastern Feb 5-12. After reading some posts here I'm a little concerned about the weather.

Will it be chilly? How about castaway cay will the water be cold. Is this why our cruise was a good price?

We have cruised in Dec, Jan and Feb.

If you are big into snorkeling or swimming, the water will be a bit on the cool side, but I don't think its to cold to go. We were on the Wonder Feb 12th - 14th this year and I did go out swimming at CC. It took me a while to get used to the water, but once I was in, it was fine.

The air temp was great! Nice and warm with no hummidity. We are taking an Eastern in January, and I can't wait! Keep in mind, the Eastern ports of St. Maarten & St. Thomas are much farther south. We didn't swim there when we took our Eastern, but I presume the water would have been warmer that at CC.

We went on a 7 day on Feb. 14 and the weather was okay. Some mornings and nights we needed a jacket on the ship as it was a little windy, but we swam just about every day. I also got in the water at Cast-a-Way Cay as well. The weather didn't bother me. I knew it was warmer there than at home where it was snowing.

Thanks for the quick replies. We prefer warm swimming water, but that does put my mind at ease somewhat. I was afraid we wouldn't get to swim, and we would have some disappointed kiddos!

Thanks!

We went in February of 2001. The weather was hot! It was in the high 80s.

All 4 cruises were Feb/March, and every one was great. Calm seas (except for 1 day only), scorching hot sun in Caribbean, slight breeze at C Cay. Cape Canaveral was cooler, but hey - we werent there long! Nat:Pinkbounc

We'll be on that cruise. Unfortunately we have a history of bringing bad weather with us on vacation. So apologies in advance if our weather curse strikes. Actually I'm not too concered, we've had pretty good luck with Feb. vacations. Uh oh..... I probably just jinxed us!!!:firefight

Oh no Samnick you did jinx us! :teeth:

All right, I know who to blame if the weather turns bad!:D

Our last three DCL cruises have been in January. Weather was great (one Saturday in Port Canaveral was cold but we were not staying there!). I snorkled at CC and the water was cool but not bad. Our next DCL cruise is January again.:umbrella:

Come join our thread over on the Cruise Meets board! It's not very active right now, but I'm sure it will get busier as the time gets closer! My dh (Tom) and I are sailing with our children. Lee is 10, Sarah is 8, and Maggie is 6. My mom and dad are also coming.

We cruised this past February and the weather was great! We are from Maryland, so the water seemed very warm to us!
