Just got off the Disney Magic a few days ago and now we're hooked. Was planning to book for next December during winter break, but noticed that cruises during our March spring break are somewhat cheaper. Not a big enough difference to make it an obvious choice, though. Anyone have strong preferences, December or March? I really liked escaping the cold winter weather with our New Year's cruise, but maybe spring has advantages, too?

What do they do at Christmas? They had the decorations up at New Year's, but that was all. What is a Christmas themed sailing like?

The Caribbean waters might be a bit warmer in March...but the Christmas decorations are not too be missed...so roll a dice!:sunny:

I have cruised in both March and December. March is warmer but December does have the beautiful decorations. If i had to choose I would go with December or which ever is closest.

Generally, March is considered one of the best times to visit the Carribean. The weather is perfect, the oceans are at their calmest point, and you are off-seasons so lower rates and fewer people.

I like December for holiday decor on the ship, as well as at the Orlando theme parks.

I hope you booked a placeholder cruise while onboard to get the 10% discount and onboard credit.

The decorations go up around Thanksgiving and stay up until the end of the NYE cruise. We've done both March and December cruises, and had great weather in both months (although the water at CC was too cold to spend much time in in either month. The last December cruise we did on Disney, we had great weather until the last night coming back into PC, when a cold front came through and we woke up to snow flurries on the pool deck.

We've done both and we loved the Christmas decorations and activities but we had many overcast days, rough sea days, and it rained on port days, and some on Castaway Cay. My girls found the water cold in December as did my husband and me always colder than the rest of my family I was in a sweatshirt and wrapped in towels, lol!

March was perfect weather for us not too hot and not too cold.

Honestly either one was a blast and the rough seas and rain didn't bug us. I'm not much help
