Cruise help needed.

Hi there,

We're off to WDW in 5 weeks time and have just re-shuffled our booking to include a 3 night cruise on the DD. It's my 'big' birthday and I've wanted to do a disney cruise for a while so we thought "What the hell"!!! Plus reading some recent trip reports has definitely swayed our decision!!

Anyway, being totally new to cruising I wonder if anyone can help regarding a luggage question? Obvioulsy we will only be needing a small amount of the clothing that we'll be taking so I wondered if there is a facility at Port Canavera or on The Disney Dream to leave luggage securely? With such limited cabin space taking 2 large suitcases on board seems a little silly. Have any of you ever left a suitcase in the car at PC carpark? How secure is it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is nowhere to leave your luggage.
On the Dream there is plenty of storage space under the bed. We always leave any excess luggage in the car at the port, never any problems.

Thanks for the reply Wayne. I guessed that the security at PC would be fairly good to leave things in the car if necessary.

Also, can you tell me how we go about pre-paying tips?

Pretty sure you can pre pay tips on DCL's website.
As for luggage, our first cruise we had all the luggage from our wedding and didn't feel too cramped. You'll spend minimum time in your stateroom anyway

Not sure about the tips, not something I would do, far easier to pay at the end of the cruise when I have had the service, rather than go back and ask for it refunding. This last trip I halved the room tip and lowered the assistant servers tip, neither were as good as they should have been, I also never tip the head waiter.
Don't think I have ever had a crusie where all the service has been as it should, some I have tipped more, some less.
