I remember last time we cruised, Fed Ex had tried to deliver the documents while everyone was at school or work. I can't remember how far in advance we had them and had a couple questions about them.

1.... How far in advance will they show up??

2.... If you miss them one day can you call Fed Ex and schedule them when you know you will be home??

Last time I made a trip down near Pittsburgh to try and find the Fed Ex building to pick them up and that was a nightmare, am hoping I don't have to try that again (as I NEVER found it last time) So just looking for any answers I can find. Oh we are on the October 16th 7 night Eastern if that helps with the time frame thing.......Thanks

We got ours a little over a month out. FedEx will leave a slip to say they showed up and if you sign it they will leave on your porch for you. (I have done this with other packages).

From what has been posted by others so far it looks like maybe I should have had my documents allready?????? One said a month out and another who is right before us has theirs allready? If I am starting to worry about them who would I call? We booked with points plus cash would that make a difference as to who I would call to ask?

ours were sent 10 days prior..... (for the 9/30 cruise)

I had fed ex last time too....

They switched to UPS (brown trucks)

which leaves them at your door.

I received only 1 set of cruise docs - which belong to my Mom. My docs have not arrived yet and we sail on 9/30 :( !!!

We just got our documents on Monday for this Saturday's sailing. I've called multiple times and got multiple answers as to when they send documents. I've been told:
"Not until 14 days before your sailing"
"Between 2-4 weeks before your sailing"

I was also reassured that if something went wrong and I didn't have my documents, that they could remedy that at the Port.

sounds like the document thing is quite a mess.....there is no standard time that they seem to arrive and that is kind of crazy....and poor bynum you only got 1 set??? Did you book together or seperatley? That seems really strange. I am now really thinking I should give them a call and find out.

I booked with points though, does that matter?? Do I still call the cruiseline?

call MS first ...if they can't answer than call DCL...

I myself wouldn't worry about filling out docs at the port but then again I've sailed on disney before so know what to expect but for those who are newbies or people who take the transfers and would need the luggage tags it would be fustrating.

It depends on who you book with and what method they use to send them (ie USPS, UPS, FedEX, turtle). That's why there's such a big difference in when people get them.

I just got my docs (via US mail) yesterday for our 10/16 cruise. 3 1/2 weeks out

The mystery about my missing documents has been solved. I called my travel agent who was livid to say the least and she got to the bottom of it. UPS delivered them to a company in my area.

She called Disney and they are sending another set to my house as well as the pier. Now, I can breathe :) .

Glad you can breathe now bynum66....

I'm hyperventilating at the moment because of Jeanne.
I mean the boat will be at PC on Thurs. but it's possible Jeanne will keep me from flying from MD on Wednesday. :(

We are sailing Oct 16th and received our doc 9/21. I was soooo happy:teeth: Hope everyone else gets theres!!

Belle 16127 - We are on the same cruise and I am checking the front door and the mail box daily not knowing which way the docs will be delivered. I feel your anxiety!!! I'll let you know when I get anything hope you do the same. We booked thru travel agent.
