And WHY weren't any of you guys in cruise chat tonight??? DAN!!!

That's okay. Robin was and so was SUSAN under a secret identity which I won't divulge.

Okay, gonna catch up on this thread. Will be back shortly.

Tulirose, Sorry about the Chat thing. I tried it once, just not for me. Dan had a football game as a valid excuse. Right Dan?

We were out doing nurses for newborns visits. I am the chauffeur and Kathy takes care of the patients:).

By the way found an excellent spell checker program called iespell. Just download and when you type your post there is a little icon on the tool-bar. Click it and it spell checks for you. You can only use this will internet explorer though. I have that and netscape both on my computer. Here is a link to the program iespell checker

Dan we watched a little bit of the game a short time ago, but just finished eating and the old eye lids are drooping. Mike

Oh Twinave! Why is it not for you? Maybe you tried it on a really busy night. You gotta give it at least one other chance. Does this mean you won't join in when we start scheduling private Octoberfest chats??? That will be when there will be just us guys going on this cruise chatting and we try to do it at a time when Eric and Anja can join in. It was usually held on a Saturday morning at about 10 a.m. (NY time) for a short while. Saturdays can be busy with our personal lives but it was fun and we can schedule it for other times as well. Please say you will try it again. And let me know if you do try cruise chat again and I will be there to chat with you.

Mike, you are not that old and neither are your eyelids, so stop them from drooping!! They are drooping because you watched a silly boring football game. So stay and chat with me here a bit and stay awake! Afterall, you are an hour behind me and it is not even 11 p.m. yet!

Mary - I remember you keeping track of our 9/22/01 trip via the pregnant mommies. Neat. I also remember Tink33. Glad to hear they are finally going on their trip. I also remember the couple who cancelled because husband was in a car accident. I think about them now and again. I have also thought lately about some of the people that cancelled 9/22's trip because of what happened eleven days earlier. I wonder how they are doing too.

Rosemary maybe I can drink a cup of coffee and prop them open a wile longer. We are going to keep Katie for awhile tomorrow and we may even go to the mall and do a little trolling. It is amazing what a cute young baby can make women do;) When you have her with you they flock to see her. To bad it is cold weather now. Too many long sleeve shirts and pants:smooth:

Nancy glad to hear that the hockey tournament is over and they you are well on your way with the zapping. Tell me did you little nose glow red like rudolph's. Mine did from the cold weather.

Dan is in the fetal position from watching the game. Mike

See Dan (and Mary too for that matter). I'm not the only dense one here! Thank you Kathy for coming to my support.

Cathy with a C - Glad you are having fun and getting used to the new computer. Sounds like Art talked you into getting some fancy printing/etc. machine there. I bet you will really appreciate having it once you learn all about it.

cdnmickeylover - We are driving down this time too from NY. Maybe we will pass each other on the road. We will have to put signs in our cars saying "GOING TO CRUISETOBERFEST TWO - ARE YOU?" LOL!! Actually, we hope to get on the autotrain just south of Washington D.C. and arrive in Florida on Friday. I don't want a repeat of our arrival in 2001. We hope to stay at the Radisson.

Originally posted by Taswira: ...Has anyone heard from jmalk? I met her briefly on the Wonder, but haven't noticed her posting lately. I guess she doesn't hang out on the DIS as much as some of us!
JMALK - Come out, come out, whereever you are. You know Shari, can you believe that some people have a life outside of the DIS??? I find it hard to comprehend. I mean, why doesn't everyone want to stay here and read all my marathon postings and all the interesting postings from all you guys too??? The concept that they are busy doing other things is beyond me! LOL!!!
:jester:

Hope that we can get a great rate at the Radisson like last year. It was nice to be able to leave the car there and cruise. Parking at the terminal is now up to 10 dollars a day. Mike

Ya know Mike. I remember Rich saying the same thing when he used to take Richie as a baby to the boardwalk in the summer when I worked nights. He said it was amazing how all these young girls wanted to look at the baby. You guys!!!! I will admit that your Katie is certainly a cutie though, as was Richie when he was a baby. *BIG SIGH* How he get to be so old so fast???

Is Dan in the fetal position because his team is losing?

Ohio State is winning at the moment. 17-14.

I can't watch football sometimes when they do bad I get mad and change the channel.

One good thing about us being in the dungeon on deck 2 Rosemary is that it is a lot quiter than deck seven. We had kids running up and down the hall during our cruise when we were in 7056. Mike

Night Rosemary, tell Rich and Richey we said hello. Going to watch the last few minutes of the game. Mike

Oh Mike. Our hallway was dead quiet!!! I think on the two cruises we had that room (one three day cruise and then the 7-day cruise), we heard kids ONCE and it was doing the day. So, I certainly hope we don't have any rowdy next-door neighbors this time around. LOL

Goodnight. Hope your favorite team wins!

OK Everyone, it is a new year and only 40 weeks until we sail. Time for all the "lurkers" to show themselves and lets get to "know" one another!!!
I think we may have the biggest "DIS" group to ever set sail!!!!
Wouldn't it be GREAT to have 200 of us at the sail away party!!!!

Are you out there, Tom (<I>DCL VP of Operations</I>)? Are you keeping an eye on this thread as you said you would? We are still

Taswira: Shame on you:p It was 54 degrees here yesterday!!! That is pretty great for January! I am missing the snow. I want a real winter:eek: Now!!! Kids go back to school on Monday. I enjoy them when they are home, but have to admit, it will be good to take them back to school! I start school on the following Monday. I am really excited about this,. In addition to the radiology, I met with my advisor and am going to complete the few credits I need to finish my Masters in Reading. Seemed a waste not to finish it. Who knows, maybe one day I will want to teach again.

Nancy, glad you are almost done, both with the radiation and the hockey!

Twinave, I am with you, I tried a chat but I must be too slow or somehting:p Couldn['t keep up. It is all I can do to keep up with this thread. Plus we are on mountain time and by the time I realize there is one, it is over:bounce: I know, if I think about it, next time I will just read! At least you get lots of info.

Cathy with a "C" someone asked me the other day where I got my pin. Was it available at the Disney Store.. I laughed, I could probably send you some orders:rolleyes: Took the tree down, but put the mickey ornament in the car! It is hanging where I can see it.

Papa and Kathy, Know what you mean about the baby thing. Went to Chuck E cheese with a friend yesterday. She has an ablsolutely adorable six week old girl that I got to hold the whole time. People flock to you!! got my baby fix. I adore them but don't think I could take the sleepless nights anymore.

Tulirose, You sound like a fun person. Looking forward to meeting you.

Must go now. I am taking my mom to a new restaurant for lunch and then she wants to see the new Jack NIcholson movjie. About Schmidt. I am not to keen on him, but the movie does look entertaining.

"See" you all later. Elaine.

Elaine - When I posted about wanting to be in a warmer place, it was NOT 54 degrees <I>down here</I> in my territory. You probably know we get <I>a lot</I> of wind in my area, so it doesn't take much to turn a bearable day into an unbearable one. The day before, I think it was about 30 mid-day <I>without</I> the wind. Add to this the fact that I am very congested from a bad cold, and I was wishing to be someplace else!

No - This is NOT the coldest spot in the nation, nor do we get many storms. But I spend so much time in FL that I am very acclimated to it. I just don't do well in cold weather anymore. I may decide to move to central FL permanently!

Tuli -

We considered doing the autotrain again for our trip in March but it was really expensive. Plane fares are bad because of spring break and we really weren't looking forward to a long drive but autotrain prices make that a non-option for now. We are now hoping to find a good airfare sale and renting a car.
Maybe by October prices for autotrain will be reasonable again. We are contemplating 3 weeks at that time and it would be much more convenient to have our own car. And so much nicer not to end a long vacation with a long drive.

Nancy

YOU POSTING ANIMALS !!!!!!!!!!!!! :p I'm so proud of you - If we continue this way, we will cross the 3000-mark easily!!

In exactly 40 weeks, 1 hour and 40 minutes we will leave Port to start Cruisetoberfest 2 (And in 37 weeks ze two Germans leave for ze States) :Pinkbounc x280

We just returned from "Holiday On Ice" featuring the Hollywood-Show and it was G-R-E-A-T, they put some of the best movies ever onto the ice and did a really great job.

Over here temps are back to below 0ºC (32ºF) plus a chilling wind wich makes it at least 10/18º colder. Additionally we have a big flood in Frankfurt: My parents's and my sister's house is located at the banks of the river Main in the heart of Frankfurt and right now the water is just about two feet under their appartments, but the firefighters built a large dam holding back the river. The water also threatens to wash over the historic marketplace, our historic cityhall (More than 800 years old) and some churches, but for the time being the makeshift dams hold the floods back.
