Just a quick question: How far in advance do you have to book the Radisson for the night before? We are looking at staying there the night before the cruise but aren't sure because it depends what time we leave here since we are driving. We are hoping to leave Wednesday afternoon and that would mean that we would get to the port sometime Friday afternoon but if we can't leave til Thursday morning that will make it a little less likely that we will be at the port on Friday or if we are it will be late at night.

I've been watching for discounted rates at the Radisson but have not seen any so far. I will keep checking, and post when I see anything. I think last tear the "Fall" rates were announced in the summer.Fiona, we booked the Radisson a few months ahead, but if I remember correctly they have a 6pm cancel policy. So if you find you can't make it just call before 6pm on the arrival date and cancel with no penelty.

I am planning to bring lanyards again for everyone. I have been watching E-Bay for a sale, but so far I have only seen the "cord" type lanyards in the quanity I need. For those who are new to cruistoberfest, last trip I got matching lanyards for everyone. It worked out so well because we were able to spot each other via the lanyards. The name tags Cathy made to hang on them, and the plastic pouches BetteMom gave out made them even better!!!

Mary when are you going to do the bouncy things again? Mike

Papa, Tell Kathy with a K that I am still with my Starfish team. In fact we won Team of the Quarter! and we are getting ready to "rotate" to our office down town. But I have been getting a BADDDDD feeling about our evaluation raise due Jan 15th. This was the one we have all worked so hard for. I had a long talk with my office manager last Friday. Long story short, I will be VERY disappointed if the powers that be don't give my girls the raise they deserve. In the meantime I have been looking into some other things, and I think I found something I might like. It's working with disabled adults. Time will tell. Thanks for asking.:D
Later, Ave'
PS ...going to rent "Signs" tomorrow. Saw the movie on the Magic. Very Good movie!!!!!!!

Wow guys, this post is really hopping!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

DH, DD (15mo) and I are heading to MK on Saturday for the day. We're going to check out the refurbished Crystal Palace for dinner, and I'm thinking about having DDs first haircut done in the Harmony Barbershop. Her hair isn't really that long, but in front her hair is getting in her eyes, and she doesn't let me put barrettes or anything in her hair. She just pulls it out within 5 minutes. So, we may just have them make her some little bangs. Wow, what a milestone!!! My little "baby" is growin' up!!

If anyone needs anything from WDW, let me know before Friday night. We're going again next month too, for my mom's birthday. We're going to head to the new Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Faire.

Have a good night everyone!!!

alikat99,

Scott and I will be in Disney starting Friday! Would you like to meet? We would love to put a face with the name! Well just let us know.

Dan

Amy,
could you send us some of the freshly made cakes from teh Kringla Bakery in Norway :jester:
Just kidding, For Anja and me it's a traditional Must-Do to have some treats at Norway and feed the cute little birdies with the crumbs.

The floods are retreating in Germany and the wacko was put in an institution last night. So everything is back to normal.
The Euro is at an all-time high and if it continues that way, the vacation will be much more affordable - Or the shopping list wll grow much longer ;)

Dan -

We would love to meet you and Scott. However, we are only going to be at the Magic Kingdom for the day. We're going to have my MIL with us and she's in a wheelchair, so it's not very convenient to take her to a different park. So, if you're going to be in the area of the MK, let us know and maybe we can set up a time to meet. I also love putting names with faces. I got to meet Shari (Taswira) around Halloween and that was nice, now I have met at least one person.

Eric -

Oooohhh, I love the bakery in Norway. Yummy, yummy treats!!! And, the cute little brown birds are so fun to give the crumbs to. Those birds definitely aren't starving, that's for sure.

Dumb ? .... During these looooooooooooong winter nights I sometimes like to do puzzles. Does anyone know if Disney has any with pictures of WDW or the Cruise Line on them. That would really be relaxing to build and look at and drool over.

Check back later.......

Cathy with @C

Cathy,
I don't know wether DCL has a puzzle, but why don't you just take your best cruise-picture and take it to a photoshop. Every good photoshop can make a puzzle out of any picture.

And here's my favourite puzzle joke:

A blonde calls her boyfriend on the phone: "Baby, this crazy puzzle is driving me mad. I need help - Pleaaaase!!"
He asks her back: "What picture are you puzzling?"
She says:"The box shows a large yellow rooster with something red on his head, but all the pieces are yellow and look the same!!"
He says: "Sugar, please put all the cornflakes back in the box and let us forget that this call ever took place!!" :jester:

Love the joke.

Just putting us back on the first page.

It's snowing here again and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow night -- wish I was at WDW!

Fiona

Hey Rellingtwin, Still waiting for you to answer the bouncy thing question. :bounce: :Pinkbounc Later, Ave'

Long wait for the :bounce:

I start them at 99 days to go! But I guess I could do a week by week thing until the 99 day mark.

One :bounce: for each week. As of Sat. we had 40 weeks to go. I will subtract 1 :bounce: each Sat.

OK READY?????

Mary,
all people with slow connections will love you ;) , but I love the bouncers.

Over here we're in the freezer right now with temps around 0ºF.
Shiver - I wish I was in FLA :(

Eric - If it makes you feel any better, here in FL, it's mighty chilly too. Not freezing, but certainly not warm. Our lows last night were in the 30s. Brrrrrrrr I'm originally from Chicago, but I've been in FL for 5 years now, and I don't enjoy anything lower than around 50 degrees.

It's actually warmed up here. It's 4C today although it's supposed to get cooler and snow again tonight and then get a lot colder for the weekend. Desparately wish I was in Florida.

Fiona

Fiona,
I see your using decent units of measurement too and not the confusing hodgepodge your southern neighbors have to cope with ;) Canada converted to the metric system in the 80ies if I remember it correctly.
As I work in the aviation field I spend a substantial time of the day with converting feet, nautical miles, statute miles, meters, hectopascals, millibars, degrees F, degrees C, etc. :( Sometimes it drives you crazy :p

No Amy,
it's no consolation for me that you are freezing too - But it shows that there still is some justice left in the world :jester:
I know that Florida even has deep frost from time to time and that the orange harvest was ruined a couple of times.
BTW, we will probably in the Tampa area within our first and/or our third week. That's 9/20-9/27 or 10/4-10/10. We would be delighted to meet you before the cruise. Or will you perhaps be at WDW in the week 9/20-9/27?

MARY - Relling Twin ....... If you are out there, please tell me your family is Ok and no none was involved in that commuter plane crash of today. Worried about you guys.

Cathy with @ C

Hi Cathy,

I think the crash was in Charlotte and Mary lives in Charleston.
I just saw pictures of it in the news and the crashsite looked horrible :(
