Hey, jmalk - Unless I talk my sister or her adult son into going, it looks like I'll be solo. If it's just you and your two kids (since they're not pre-school), if you end up at late seating you could link your dinner seating with me if you want. The way things are going, I have a suspicion DCL might decide to keep their experimental earlier dining times (making late seating 7:45). And since the smallest table is for 4 . . . Just a thought.

Well, I just talked to the kids, for the bribe of just one extra disney pin, (they are so easy) they agreed to join you all. Now I just have to make sure the price is the same, but I wonder if with all the DIS'ers going they just might wrangle a group discount. Who's in charge here???

Shari, we'd love to have you. I'll even buy you a shrimp brunch I haven't even thought about dinner times, but I guess either would be fine. It's not like they let you starve.

No one's in charge but a group discount would be very nice but probably very unlikely.

Great! If you want to link your dinner seating with mine, just call DCL and ask to be linked with Shari ("official" name is Sharon) Meyr in 7628. Your kids might find me amusing. I have an extremely varied background - not to mention my present ;-). And you're right . . They certainly DON'T let us starve! Has anyone ever <I>lost</I> weight on a cruise - other than maybe Viking? By the way, it's Viking who is in charge (of the "list" for this cruise - Everyone does their own booking). And where did all these other posts come from? I was away from the computer for a couple of hours and now have an online "book" to read to catch up!

You can also submit your dinner seating to him after your booking is made. He didn't request it but when he sent out the "beta" list I saw that some people had their dinner time listed, so I e-mailed him mine and he said that will be on the next one he puts out.

Of course, all this is strictly voluntary and the list is emailed out to those traveling with us. Believe me, it helps you keep track of what will be a large and growing group. It's difficult enough on the thread to try and keep track and having a "cheat sheet" helps.

Shari - I've been reading bits and piece about DCL changing the dinner times. What's the story with this? Do you know?

Not sure if I know any more than you do. I've heard lots of rumors - including from CM's who usually don't know any more than most of the people on this board ;-). What I'm hearing is that the new dining times (5:30 early; 7:45 late) in general are working out well and being accepted. Supposedly it IS causing an increase in revenue from the bars/clubs, since it gives late diners more time there if desired. I guess there have been a few complaints from some of the early diners not liking it THAT early, but overall it seems to be working and they extended the trial time somewhat. Who knows what the decision will be? I'm just thinking that anything that increases their revenue (more alcohol sales) they are likely to stick with. And personally, I would LOVE for late seating to always be 7:45!
