Hi Dan - I hope you are now happy. Congrats on the Great airfare price for your October trip. Hope you can repeat it in 14 months!

Now, is my turn to yell at you: YOU NEED TO READ ALL THE POSTS IN THE THREAD!!! If you did, you would have seen Kevin responded on Page 1 already that they will be unable to make this trip. They are having fun on other cruiselines!!! The nerve!!

Windermere - I thought Rich would respond to you but he doesn't get on the computer much and I don't want someone else to think I am ignoring them too (!) Rich said twin beds would not be a problem, we could manage. But I don't know how we would fit in that toilet/shower stall! LOL! I understand Sleepers are extra and you can not advance book them. Did you find that the case too?

And Dan - How come we never saw you guys at Topsiders? This time out, we have to make dates for breakfast and stuff. And you still owe me a drink!!! I don't forget these things. And, one more thing, when I say "Good Day All" that DOES include you too! LOL

Yes Tulirose I saw that post way back on page 1. However I think they should still check in with us every so often. I am not sure why you did not see us a t Topsiders, we slept in the chairs by the elevator so we wouldn't have to move that much! Yes we will have to have breakfast/lunch/dinner together! I do owe you a drink!

To all newbies:
This is how Tulirose and I communicate! We actually love doing this, at lest I do. She also loves to point out items from past posts and tell me that I never read everything!

I love ya Rosemary!

Yours truely

Tomorrow night is regular cruise chat. I would say I would definitely be there but party time on Saturday for Richie's graduation/18th Birthday celebrations and I will probably be doing last minute cleaning. We should think about popping in on cruise chats on some Fridays and then before you know it we can start scheduling our very own 10/11/03 chats on the weekends and converse with our friends in Germany. That was great fun too!

Thanks for the Warm Welcome, Tulirose and Taswira !!!

Our family is so excited about going on our First Disney Cruise (although the 14 month wait is going to be a challenge!)
We have already downloaded DCL wallpaper and screensaver onto our computer, so our 3 dd's love "watching" our "Mickey boat" on the computer screen. They will be 10, 9 and 5 yrs old when we cruise next Fall...and they are absolute Disney fanatics (in fact, our youngest dd is one of those little Disney "souvenirs" from our 1997 trip to WDW with our oldest 2 dds). I'll have to admit...although my dh loves WDW, he is a bit skeptical about the cruise (I used to be, before reading all this excellent info on the DIS Boards). My dds and I have 14 months to get him ready!!
Anyway, we are fortunate to have booked two of the adjoining "secret porthole" rooms on deck 5 for the 10/11/03 cruise, and we are looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

Hi 3MinnieMom,

"Willkommen an Bord", that's welcome aboard in my native language.
As our group is already growing so fast, I decided to start with the list RIGHT NOW :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
The "Veterans" don't have to mail their info, I still have it on my back-up CD from last year's Cruisetoberfest.
For the newbies,
Please transmit the following info:

-First names of all people in your party
-Ages (If you're willing to tell ;) ) at the time of the cruise --Occupation/profession (Last time we had so many nurses, that we could have changed the Magic into a hospital-ship)
-Email-adress
-hometown
-special occasion to be celebrated during the cruise (i.e. birthday, anniversary, etc),
-the place you spend the night before the cruise (Last time we had a whole bunch of people celebrating a pre-cruise-party at the Radisson-Hotel in Port Canaveral).
-Your DIS-name

I will then compile all the data into the Official List of Cruisetoberfest II.

Please go also to the "Magic Meetings Page on the DIS and enlist for our Sail-Away-Party.
(Dan & Scott: Don't forget to pack the Buckeyes, Anja says "Hi" and " Don't show up without them :p !!) We will bring the Schnaps.
I still have the wonderful little star-spangled banners from our Sail-Away-Party, I just have to turn my had slightly to the left to see them - They're such a wonderful memory!!

Here's my public email: VIKING
As soon as I have received your info, I will start writing the list and if I have received enough emails until Sunday morning (My time)/Saturday night (Your time), I will send out version ALPHA via my private email which will then be used for further correspondance.

Everybody have a great weekend and we're looking forward to your mails

WELCOME, 3MinnieMom! Glad to see you have joined us! You might first think it's a strange group, but it will grow on you!

Tulirose - I noticed that our "marquee" text had disappeared from our posts, so I deleted mine. I guess the DIS frowns on that sort of thing. It really shouldn't tax the server as much as the javascript for cruise countdowns, but I guess some people would think it's irritating, so I won't be doing that again. As I write this, yours is just missing the marquee, as mine was.

Rose,
We always book the room when we book the space for our car. I didn't know you could get a sleeper without booking in advance.

Nancy

<font size="6"><font color=red><marquee> Dan why do you owe Rose a drink? She forgot. That's okay, you are saving me some money.

Tulirich - So now it's "allowing" the marquee text again? Oh, well. I deleted my marquee message because mine (and Tulirose's at the time) was showing a blank. But I've decided to keep it simple now!

3MinnieMom - Which dinner seating do you have, main or late? I figure you probably have main since one of your kids is pretty young. I requested late - in case DCL decides to stick with the earlier dining times they are trying out.

Nancy - Even though it makes no sense, some one told us that you cannot reserve compartments ahead a time on the autotrain - that you must request them upon arrival. I figured the reason was because of the possibility of no-shows. Obviously, our source was wrong because you have advanced booked. Nothing like getting first-hand information. Thanks. We will look into it further! :D

taswira - I don't know what happened to the marquees before but they are working now. However, I deleted not my marquee post but my *way to go, Taswira* post. DH had asked me why I posted it and I said to look at Taswira's post immediately prior to mine but there was nothing there! I was in the middle of making dinner and looking over his shoulder at the same time so I deleted mine without reading the entire thread (something I have been known to accuse certain people of doing.) Anyway, no biggie. Rich wanted to try his hand at having some fun so that's why he did his.

3MinnieMom - A Disney Darling Daughter "souvenir"!!! What a treasure she must be! :D

Viking - How good of you to start our listings again. Thank you for taking it on. Your cruise listing was the only way to keep track of everyone as we grew last year and remember who was who! Oh, btw - you can kindly forget to update our ages on the new list!! LOL j/k

Dan - I know not much about mums. Have killed a few in my time too. However, there is on this site a "flower and garden" board. The *Buds* on that board are more than helpful in answering (or attempting to answer) gardening questions and sharing gardening stories and tips. Check it out when you get the chance, although it was much more active in the Spring and early Summer then it is now.

There's a terrific rainstorm going on now and I hear thunder in the distance, so I will be signing off until it passes.

Tulirose - So sorry 'bout that. I guess your DH thought you were temporarily losing it! No - She's fine, Tulirich. I only deleted it because both mine and hers weren't working and I thought it might have been the webmaster's polite way of saying "Don't do that." Well, at least YOU saw it, Tulirose!

Nancy,

where do the AMTRAK-trains leave in Germany? And how much is a ticket from Frankfurt to Philadelphia ? :jester:

I just got a mail from alikat99 containing all the necessary data. If you want to be shown in the first edition of the CruisetoberfestII-List, please mail your info until 1pm EST. This is not necessary for the "Oldtimers" ;)
No Chance, Rosie - I will update the age-column without remorse :p
And don't forget: It's gonna hit me as hard as anyone, because I'll turn 40 the day before our departure (10/10/03)

And I just saw that Taswira also submitted her info!!!

Only two posts to go until you can call me the 1K-Post-Man :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Eric, you can use last years info for us. DS will be 9,DD will be11. DH 43, me 42. All other info will be the same. We have not booked yet, as we are thinking of booking while on board.
Hello to Anja!

Since I am doing the LIST on the 9/29/02 I have a new appreciation for the amount of work it is! Thanks for doing this!

This is my last post in the three-digit-range :bounce:

The first edition of our list in your mailboxes - Check it out and give me your feedback, if there are any mistakes or necessary updates.
Mary, I think I made you and George a year younger, but I guess you don't mind ;) Please forward the list to your sis - As soon a s she's on our list any resistance by her DH will be futile :p
And: Yes, doing the list is work, but it is fun, too, isn't it?

Oh Sure, make George and Mary younger but definitely update the ages for Richard and Rosemary!!! Do you know how I gasped when I saw that age!?! - The age I WILL be at cruising, making it clear I am NOT that old now! My gosh, it looks REAL old on computer monitor screen! LOL -- And don't give me this line about hitting you "as hard as anyone". You is a baby dear! I'd give my eyeteeth to be 40 again!

(Please raise your hand if you think Rosemary needs to get a grip with this age-thing.)

Eric,
Have they finished that part of the Chunnel yet?
It's funny that you are planning to be in America for your 40th when DH and I are currently planning a trip to France and Germany for his. Maybe we'll even get to stop by and visit. We bought into DVC last year and we're thinking of doing DLP and a resort in Austria near the border with Germany. ( Can't remember exactly which one at the moment.)
