Tina...how far is Clarksville, MD from Baltimore? Not quite sure where you're at??? Still freezing here--temp only got to about 18 degrees F even though the sun was shining all day. It is at the point that I hate to hear my furnace kick on for fear of the bill that I am going to get at the end of the month!!

Today is the last day (at midnight) to file a claim to be part of the CD settlement--go to www.musiccdsettlement.com to add your name to the settlement. They have a few million to distribute and it is for anyone who has bought a cd, tape, etc. over the last few years--no receipt is required (there is a notice about it on the MSN home page)--you can get anywhere from $5.00 to $20.00 and right now they are calculating that most people will get $14.00. It is one claim per household. I think the phone number you can call to get details on this is: 1-877-347-4782.

If you can't get in on this web site address, just put cd settlement in the search engine and it will come up.

Welcome aboard Jean and don't be so hard on yourself. I could tell you stories of when Dan was a newbie and he didn't know ANYTHING!!! He would send me all these PM's (once he learned what a PM was! LOL) asking me "tell me how to do this" "tell me how to do that" HAHAHAHA :teeth: Love ya Dan honey. Those days are certainly far behind you now!! :D

Amy - Did Emily get to play in the snow? Also, are you happy with how we left your house? I bet you can hardly even tell we were there taking care of it for you. We tried to clean up all the water that splashed out of the pool and then tracked in all over your living room, bath and kitchen. What we didn't get surely evaporated by the time you came home. Umm, just don't check your liquor cabinet until we get a chance to restock it for you.
:jester: :jester:

Arlene - Wasn't that rain something else yesterday!?! I'm glad I wasn't driving any long distance in it. Welcome home to you too. You can relax, we were too busy playing in Amy's house in Florida to do anything with yours. Will get you on your next weekend trip off the Island! hahaha

And same with you Nancy (padisneyfan)! Welcome home. Didn't read entire thread yet so I don't know how your son's team did. Hope they won!

Rosemary-- I was just thinking about your poor Ollie and wondering how he's doing. Update please?

Our menagerie has grown over the weekend by adding a guinea pig for Josh. A real cute little girl just over 4 weeks old. He named her Samantha and calls her Sammie...........Colleen
Thanks Colleen for asking. (And thank you Cathy too. I just read your post asking the same question) - Ollie is getting used to the E-collar but totally hates it and is so very depressed. He doesn't walk backwards as much now to try and get it off but he occasionally tries. He mostly sleeps still. A neighbor called this a.m. because she was concerned not having seen him around the neighborhood lately and DS told her what happened.

Oliver is eating okay but not drinking anything. Between giving him medicine, trying to make sure the other cats don't go after his wet food (they get only dry) when he is eating and trying to get him to drink AND THEN trying to get my son to eat because the doctor is concerned that he had lost so much weight and has not gained any back... I feel like the house is an infirmary, or maybe the stereotypical Italian home - "Eat! EAT!!!!"

*SIGH* I can't wait for the warmer weather and healthier fur and bald babies around here.

A guinea pig is a great pet for a 10 year old boy. We've had two - Bullet and Cutie. And Samantha is a great name. Our dog is Samantha and we call her Sammie too! :D

Sarah'sMomfromPA,
Clarksville is right outside of Columbia and inbetween Baltimore and Washington along I-95. Both cities are about 30-45 minutes away. I grew up in the Philly area. I moved down here in 1986 when I married hubby. I can't wait for spring. It way too cold for March and we still have piles of snow everywhere.

Should we take the last train to Clarksville? LOL! Sorry. I couldn't resist. I was a huge Monkees fan way back when.....

Ok everyone! I'm finally rested after a busy weekend.

Chicago was a lot of fun. COLD, but fun! Actually, since I'm originally from Chicago, I can appreciate that it was actually a very mild weekend, weather-wise. It was usually in the low 30s, and there was very little wind.

Unfortunately, Emily didn't get to play in the snow, since there really wasn't any on the ground. We got some flurries yesterday, right as we were leaving.

We did have a lot of fun though. We ate at some of our favorite places. I saw my best friend from high school, who is getting married in May in the Bahamas. (That's going to be our other major vacation this year.) And, I got measured for a bridesmaid's dress for my brother's wedding in September. We even found a pattern to have a flower girl's dress made for Emily.

But, I am glad to be back here in FL.

Ok, now for my responses to everyone's pages of posts.

Rosemary - I'm glad to hear that Oliver is doing better. I'm sure that he will be back to normal soon. Now, as for your son's eating, I can't help you there. Emily is exercising her right to be a picky toddler and she refuses to eat just about everything except for french fries, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese and green beans. So, apparently, children never seem to grow out of that phase, huh?

Rosemary - I was actually impressed by the way you left the house. You can't even tell that you were even here. :jester: :jester: But, you did forget to wash & dry your pool towels. :jester: :jester: Oh, and as for the liquor cabinet, I did notice that all of my Kahlua was gone. It must have been all of those white russians, huh???:jester: :jester:

Would you believe there isn't a train in Clarksville, MD. We do have buses that go to the "big" cities. LOL! Seriously, I wish someday the Metro (subway) in Washington makes it's way up here. That would be so neat. We have an medical office building called "Clarkville Station" and a restaurant/pizza place called Clarksville Station Restaurant. Friends of ours bought the the Best of the Monkey's as a housewarming gift because it had the song "Last train to Clarksville".

alikat99,

Who says you ever grow out of eating those types of foods. On the Magic/Wonder, I saw you going down the kids buffet. You know how, I was there, too. Just kidding.

Dan

Dan - I'll send you our Disney ressie number as soon as I find it. We're in Main dining, and I know that most are dining late, but I'd love to be linked to other Cruisetoberfest II people dining early. Also, I'll send you my mom and aunt's ressie number too. They haven't officially joined our list (but I keep trying, Mom thinks she's too old), but they are cruising with us too.

Ok, I'm still working on my replies!!!

BTW..Sam got home from third shift at 6:45 a.m. this morning and came into our bedroom (I was still sleeping) and informed me that "we" had a problem (how "we" were involved is a mystery because I was just woken up!) and our dog was..(he didn't have to say much more because at that point, I smelled it) sprayed by a skunk in our backyard. Wanted to know what he should do so I told him to go to the local store and buy tomato juice--needless to say, my entire house (and outside the house since it is pouring rain) smells like a skunk. Just be glad you don't live near us!!

Maybe I missed it (I did have a lot of pages to read) but, how's the dog? When I was growing up, we had a family of skunks living just outside of our townhouse. One night, I had come home from work very late and wasn't really paying attention. I walked up to our door and right next to it was a skunk. I very slowly walked back to my car and waited for the skunk to leave. It was a very close call, since I was only a foot or two from it.

I just called my friend who is a part-time cast member at Walt Disney World, and she is getting us a pair of Mickey Ear and getting them sewn with the name "Pinky" on the back for the Scavenger Hunt.

I can't wait!
Tina :Pinkbounc

Tina - I know that it's been said before, but I wanted to thank you for all that you're doing for the scavenger hunt. It sounds like it's going to be a great way to see Key West!!

Does anyone watch (or admit to watching) Trading Spaces? The one carpenter (Amy Wynn) is going to be at a local mall on March 15th!

Oh my gosh, I love Trading Spaces!! I actually started watching them when they were only on Fridays at 4pm on TLC. I just got hooked and I love to watch them over and over and over again! My favorites are Vern, Laurie and Frank. And I love Amy and Ty!! I've gotten some great ideas from that show. I haven't actually used any of them left, but I have great ideas.

Amy-- We have the early dining also. I sent our number to Dan, so maybe we'll be seated close to each other. I think there are others on the list in early seating also.
At least you'd know we wouldn't mind having a toddler at our table.... we have one here most every day, 13 months old. Josh is getting pretty good at entertaining her too. :p He had her laughing so hard at supper tonight, it made the rest of us laugh, and so it goes at our house.

always wanted to see Falling Waters or Falling River or whatever the Frank Lloyd Wright house was called!!

Someday I would love to see Falling Water. Actually, I went to Florida Southern College in Lakeland (between Tampa & Orlando) and it is the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings on one campus. If anyone is interested in his architecture, it is a fabulous campus. If you're ever in central FL and want to visit it, let me know and Chris and I can be tour guides. That's where we met back in 1987.
