Nancy ... thanks for the reminder about the drive home clothes. I do remember last yeat I nearly froze my butt off wearing shorts and not to mention the looks we were gettiing. That settles it, long jeans for the first 2 days .. till at least Georgia.

Mary ... I wasn't trying to bring up that birth certificate nightmare BUT I felt so awfully bad for you last year and I know Kathy did too. We have both birth certificates and passports ... now to nail them to my documents and then nail that to my purse!

Thanks Dan ... guess I'll just have to pack my fold away sissors and hope for the best.

Well I work nightshift again tonight and then just have 3 "working" days left. I also have a 3 day meeting (Mon, Tue, Weds) and then work Thursday. We leave then Thursday night and arrive in Orlando at 11pm. Staying at the Hyatt in the airport and then spending Friday at Typhoon Lagoon! We should be at the Radisson by 5pm or so.

Also just so you guys know, the Magic will arrive sometime on Friday-at least that is what I was told. So perhaps she will be sitting there as you reach the port area.

I heard that four letter word in our weather forecast as well -- snow (it was actually possible snow flurries but still). They are also calling for frost tonight in low lying areas. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck. I told Jim we aren't taking our winter jackets in the car but might have to break down on that one for the drive home. Even Chris was cold last night and when a male teenager says he's cold it's cold. He actually wants to get a light jacket!

Went to see Chicago last night with Chris -- I'm obviously sleep deprived b/c I kept falling asleep during it and it was good (at least the parts I was awake for!) I may spend the entire cruise catching up on the sleep I'm missing leading up it -- pointed this out to Jim this morning and he said it was 2 day drive and that I'd sleep then! Too true really. When he's driving I'm usually asleep regardless of the time of day.

We will be careful on our drive down. The car is going in for its checkup tomorrow. Hopefully they will find nothing major wrong -- there hasn't been any strange sounds or anything so I'm not expecting any problems.

Trying to clear my desk here at work. Do not want to have to stay late next Monday or Tuesday.

Just off my back-to-back Wonders (too incredible for words, but I will eventually post about it on my magicaldisney.com site) and thought some of you may be interested to know (if you don't already, as I have not read the new pages here) that all is well with dry dock for the Magic, but that our captain will not be one with whom we are familiar. The current second-in-command officer will be our Captain for Cruisetoberfest II.

We were told last month while on the Magic that Capitain John would be with us. He was on the same cruise as us cruising with his family. Oh well as long as we get there!

Also did you hear anything about Cruise Director Rick getting fired? That is what we heard but didn't find out anything more.

Not sure if I remember this correctly, but I think Captain John will be on the Wonder, because Captain Henry is taking vacation. But whatever the case, it will be the current second-in-command on the Magic who will be our Captain.

As for Rick - Yes, he was among <I>many</I> who were let go for various reasons. I think the particulars are better kept off the DIS. Rick was my FAVORITE cruise director and I am very sad he is no longer with DCL. Many of those I considered "family" are gone.

OK, I keep trying to catch up before I post but I keep getting further and further behind. I am currently only on page 437.

But the time to cruise is getting too close and I just have to let you all know. George and I have decided that it is best that we postpone our cruise. It took ALOT of energy trying to figure out how to do the cruise as well as the move and the new jobs so we felt that we just had to postpone. And I am very upset that we will not be able to cruise with all of our new friends. Thank goodness we got to meet some of you in Baltimore. Hopefully we will meet all of you at some point in the future.

On the up side, we have re-booked already for next year -
Sept 4th eastern San Juan,
Sept 11 western AND
Sept 18 eastern Antigua.
In case anyone wants ideas of when to rebook.

I have already let Eric and Jeff know and I have faith that they will be up for the challenge of getting Pinky even if the team will now be missing a couple. GO TEAM GO!


Everyone have a marvelous trip. Wish I could be there for the sail away party but at least I will be there in spirit. And please wave at the port cameras as you pass by - I'll be watching you. Then there's those cameras all over Key West too. So maybe I'll catch some of the hunt as well. I know there's a camera at Sloppy Joe's.

Must run now, this is my only day off this week and I have tons to do. Talk you yunz guys soon.

Nancy & George ... What a bummer that you can't come along with us. I can understand the dilema you are in with the new house and jobs ... don't stress yourself into getting ill. I'll try and remember to wave at the camers when I see one. There's always next year.

OMG Director Rick is gone! He was so nice and even last year he had his wife and family on board with our Cruisears.

Weather in Moscow PA ... SNOWING! Yes, you heard right. Art called at work to tell me. Not sticking - Thank God, but I'm not ready for it yet.

Met MaryJo and had a nice lunch ... now we can't wait to get together on the ship!

Nancy & George -- So sorry you aren't going to be able to cruise with us but it was great meeting you in Baltimore. We are hoping to rebook while onboard but we don't know when yet.

Snow, frost, yuck. It's getting quite chilly here though as well. Can't wait to get to warm weather and we will be there in a week!! Thankfully.

Must get back to work. Have a couple of things that have to go out today and although I started them this morning haven't had a chance yet to finish them.

Hi Everyone,

I need a favor. I need as many of you who are willing to to say a prayer for my niece Jessica's husband Dan. They were married last October 12 and since that time they have suffered a miscarriage and lost Dan's brother-in-law to cancer (he left behind 2 little girls). Jess is now pregnant again (due in December) and this seems to be a healthy, normal pregnancy. But, Dan is very sick. He has not been able to work since July, he's lost 50 pounds, and has been in and out of hospitals all summer. Although his Doctors haven't been able to come up with a definate diagnosis, they are pretty certain he has pancreatic cancer (which is the same thing his brother-in-law died from). He is scheduled to have surgery on October 10 (a whipple operation for all of the nurses out there). Dan is a sweetheart, we are blessed to have him in our family. Please keep him in your prayers.
