Mary,

I have read the thread! I hope to be able to meet them. Maybe we could all pitch money together and get a basket from Shirley from the Cruisetoverfest II group?

Dan

Dan, I called DCL today and arranged a little something, but I was thinking of sending a little gift from our cruise gang. Maybe a t-shirt with our logo?Or a little stuffed bear??? A bottle of wine for mom and dad??OR...How about the Disney Magic ornament???You could buy it on the ship, give it to the family and we could all pay you back in Oct? With 43 Dis families that's about 1.00 each family!!!! Then the family would have a nice keepsake of the "trip of a life time"!!!

Shirley is already doing a basket. In fact..she told one person who called, to do a ship board credit instead since she was already doing a basket! How about that!!!! Turning DOWN business! She is one in a million!

Just popping in before bed, real quick.

Dan, I emailed you back about the buckeyes.

If we decide to do something as a group for the family on the cruise, count us in. I haven't had time to read the thread yet, but will do that in a sec.

I finished the bubbles today! They turned out so cute, or I think so anyway. :-) All different colors of bottles with little tropical fish on top of the lids and then I put the "Cruisetoberfest II: A (re)Union of Friends" on address labels and wrapped them around the bottles. Could not fit the Mickey and the flags on the labels without needing a magnifying glass.

Don's tattoo looks great! He sort of sprung that on me at the spur of the moment. I would not be able to have something like that done, myself. Two hours of intentionally letting someone cause me pain.... and paying them to do it too....no thanks! It's on his right shoulder, so feel free to take a look when you see him. I'm sure he'll be happy to show it off.

Josh started his Webelos camp today. Sounds like they had a blast. He goes again tomorrow, all day, then Don and he will camp overnight there tomorrow night and come home in time for supper on Saturday.

Need to scoot up to bed. Goodnight, all.

Cathy,

Yeah Cathy,
I just downloaded the logo and I really like it. I found a kit with iron-on transfer paper in one of our closets. Now I only have to get some Tees.

Can I have the last CD??? Please..........

Amy -- He does like meat but not shrimp. I on the other hand love shrimp so O'Hana is definitely a possibility. I am definitely the planner although every once in a while he'll suggest something. Packing is a riot actually because he's convinced that it's takes only 15 minutes and involves throwing socks and underwear into a bag and he's ready. He then wonders why I start packing days beforehand and then I'm still not ready. I actually have lists and then go down the list and discover he's forgotten half of the stuff that he needs -- one trip he was prepared to leave without his toilet case!! We've been camping when he's almost forgotten the tent!! On the trip to Baltimore he forgot his shampoo and since he's allergic to a lot of shampoos it's a major deal. Didn't do the list thing because it was only a weekend but it's typical. I keep saying the cruise is only 2 months away and Jim looks at me like I'm nuts to be thinking about packing.

Actually it's funny because another lawyer in the office is getting married in two weeks on a cruise (not Disney) and she's been bugging her future husband to get ready. He's a teacher and has the summer off so this shouldn't be a problem right? He's just purchased the suit he's going to be married in and it has to be altered. She says that it's suddenly hit him that he has a lot to do and not much time to do it since they are also having showers and other get togethers before they leave. Their new house closes a few days after they get back so they've been furniture hunting too. At this point she's says eloping would have been a lot easier and don't mention the word wedding to her. :D I think that there are about 25 people going on the cruise with them so it should be a lot of fun.

Must go and get ready for work. I have a client at 9am this morning but she will be on time and I like her so it's not a problem.

Mary -- I sympathize. I now mostly take my lunch to work simply because there were too many days where I didn't get lunch and if I don't eat I get really grumpy. I'm on time for my appointments and always say what they are for.

Hi Everyone!

Eric I can't believe how hot it's been in Germany this summer. Here it's been a cooler summer than last year and it seems more rain. Today looks overcast and there's a chance of rain although it will be quite muggy out. The difference is that we all have a/c, at home, at work and in the car.

RAIN.......................... RAIN........................... We dream of Rain over here.... ;)

Well we have plenty of rain over here. Its been raining all week and the forecast calls for a weekend of rain continuing until next week.

We are supposed to have a garage sale this weekend. Good luck. We should just call it a shower sale.

Fiona- You guys sound like Andy and me. I will have lists of things to pack and another list of what needs to be done. I will start packing days ahead while Andy waits for the last minute and if I'm not watching him pack he will forget half his stuff(Who needs a bathing suit when you're going to the beach or pool). Shirts - who cares if they're stained. But 1st thing on his list is whats important to him - his karaoke discs......

Maybe its a guy thing.....

Arlene

Arlene -- Had to laugh about the stained shirts. I don't think they look as they toss into the bag. And guess what we had to buy on our last trip to WDW, yep a bathing suit because he forgot to pack it. :D

I think they are just lucky that we have the lists although I might have to watch him pack this time. Usually I'm too busy doing the "to do list" though.

I'm trying to convince him that we need to go shopping now for new shirts but he keeps saying the cruise is 2 months away. The problem is that in October it will be winter clothing out and he needs summer clothing. Besides all the summer stuff is on sale now.

Fiona

I can't seem to get my DH to understand that he will NOT have to pack a huge suitcase. He is stressing thinking he is going to have to pack a ton. He is 6'4" and says his clothes take up a lot of room. Then he proceeds to tell me that if he has to dress for dinner every night he will need MORE clothes! (he is good country boy, only dresses nice for church!)

I want to start packing now. Time is going to fly now that the kids are back in school!

On Tuesday we can start booking the DCL excursions, right?

We got the logo for the shirts. We will not be wearing our onto the ship, but will change into them for the sail away. Before we meet all of you we bought shirts for the whole family to wear for the picture as we board!

Hope

Dan ... The logo is how it should look once you have it on the T-shirt. You print it in mirror mode ... most of the paper you get to put it on will give you good directions. .... You aren't going to dangle Scott over the side again are you! Hey, how did the chair work out you got at the Silent Auction?

Mary ... Love your ideas for that poor little boy. Once you read that thread, any problems you may have are nothing compared to what their daily life must be like. I'm up to chipping in too.

Ave ... Hope today is better for you guys. Is your DS OK today?

Matty204 ... FYI I did your tags last night and your are now Medic204! (If you want it to be Matty204, send me a e-mail. )

Colleen ... OMG Don really did get a tatoo. I wasn't sure if he was just pulling our leg or not.

Gotta run ... work is screaming in my ear.

Fiona:

This sounds so bad but what the hey-

KMart had the only type of polo shirts that Andy likes to wear on a great sale. I hit 4 differant locations so I could get as many as I could in his size and in differant colors(I cant tell you how many black polos he has so even though on the cruise he might seem to be wearing the same shirt all the time hes actually not)

He has been forbidden to wear certain ones so that he doesnt stain and ruin them. We actually counted at the end of the spree and found out that I bought him 21 shirts. Hopefully all will be in good condition by the time of the cruise.

Just checked with the Disney Gift Line (1-800-601-8455) re: Nathan Page thread and you can put a shipboard credit on their account for them. The smallest amount that they told me you can do it $25.00 (Relling Twin--is that what they told you??)--does anyone want to go together and do a shipboard credit (I was going to do $20.00 but she wouldn't let me). Did anyone else get the $25.00 minimum or was it just the representative that I spoke to ??? Just curious. Per verrandah man...Shirley would rather people do the shipboard credit for this family than a ton of gift baskets (makes sense too especially if they are flying).

Dan...email me re: water park tickets or call me if you still have my phone number--best to reach me at work if you can!! Mary Jo

Mary Jo - email me, I'll go in on this with you since I was going to do $20 also.

Renee

Arlene, Sounds like a great idea. I may do that and then hide the shirts til he's packing. :D
