With the weather we are having lately (monsoon like) I just may start putting some stuff in suitcases for the cruise. I haven't been able to wear a lot of my summer stuiff...........and it's AUGUST already! (OK I feel better now. ).

We don't wear summer stuff over here - It's far too hot for it - LOL
Our meteorological service officially measured 40.0ºC/104ºF in Bavaria and they are sure that the standing record of 40.2ºC will be broken within the next days. The heat is forecast to stay at least until the beginning of next week, perhaps even til September.
Our CEO sent an email to all employees today inviting everybody to have some icecream at 2pm tomorrow - YumYum.

OK Folks,

I just went through the latest mails and there are only two people/parties not accounted for: Jen-n-greg and Stephmarty.
Everybody else replied with "AYE" (The majority ) and some cancelled (We're gonna miss you )
The List has been updated with your latest info so far, but I'll wait with the mailing until either Jen-n-greg and Stephmarty have replied, some new cruisers have to be added or the deadline for the "Reminder" is reached (08/16/03/).

I also received some more pics, but after updating the List and browsing the latest posts for nearly 2 hours looking for bits of info I'm kind of tired and will go to bed now.
The homepage will probably be updated on Sunday as tomorrow we'll be at the gym again, just a "regenerative" run of 6 to 8 miles, and on Saturday I'll be at the office, ironing out the kinks of our first week online, which went surprisingly well. Saturday evening we have a Post-Class-Reunion-Meeting, comparing pictures etc.

Bette ... Just wondering if Mr Flamingo has a name, cause he's got to have a name tag! That way when he gets home and is wearing the tag the rest of his flock will be jealous. I love the bow tie idea ... maybe you could get him fitted with a wardrobe at your local Salvation Army outlet. Check around to see if you can find clothes for the lawn ornament geese ... he may be the same size.

Would clothes for a cabbage patch doll fit Mr. Flamingo? I don't even know if they still have cabbage patch dolls but I won one years ago and did have some clothes although I'm not sure if I still do but I could look if someone thinks they'd fit.

Today has been one of those days -- 8:30am client showed but 9am one didn't show until 10am meaning that 8:30am could have come at 9am or even 9:30am. Pet peeve, mini rant warning -- why do people think that they can make an appointment and show up an hour late and it's not going to matter? I have some clients who expect me to stay til 6:30pm or even 7:00pm because they have to come 'after work'. I don't mind if they ask and realize that I'm staying late but expecting it is sometimes a little too much. Same with early morning appointments. I also love the clients that give a 2 hour time frame that they will come in especially when it's over lunch -- like ok I'll be there between 11am - 2pm and they get ticked off when you ask them to nail down a time. Most of my clients are really great but some?? are amazing in their lack of consideration for others. Ok off the vent, it's been a long day. Thankfully there's only one more and then it's the weekend!!!

Need a cruise now (and then another one in October of course).

Oh I read the Nathan post last night and cried all the way through it. Even though I do complain sometimes I do realize that I am truly blessed.

Bette, you guys are so Bad!! Just how big is this flamingo? And more important, has he been house broken?
Not a good first day at school for DS. Before the class even got started he fell over a chair and cut his lower lip pretty bad. The school tried calling me, but I hadn't gotten to work yet, so they called DH. Well, DH had just gotten to work because he got rear-ended. Messed up his trucks bumper. So, DH had to leave work, mess up his chance at the perfect attendance bonus, drive his bkoken truck to pick up his injured son. All before 8:30 AM. Oh well, no one really hurt, truck can be fixed. And we'll try again tomorrow for Casey first day of school.
Got to run, DD just brought home a pile of papers for me to fill out.

Ave, doesn't sound like a good morning. Hope tomorrow goes better.

Just finished making our last payment so we are fully paid now and definitely going.

Need help though -- after the cruise we are going to be staying at CBR for a week -- the Friday of that week is Jim's birthday. Does anyone have any suggestions? He doesn't care where we eat, what we do -- in other words he's absolutely no help whatsoever. We are eating at LTT on the 19th before the MNSSHP, Le Cellier the next night and are doing Hoop-de-do the next night. He figures that's enough for the week so can't give me any ideas at all. He'll go along with anything (he says). Victoria & Alberts is out -- he'll wear his suit on the cruise and then won't go near it again for months.

Fiona - Is your DH a meat-eater? My DH is and his favorite restaurant for dinner now is O'Hana. They have grilled skewers of turkey, pork, beef & shrimp. My DH went through about 3 dozen shrimp one night, and they aren't little shrimp.

I just booked our next Disney trip. We are going to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in Feb. 14th for 3 nights. The kids have Friday and Monday off. Now I will have something to look forward to for after the holidays

LOL! It's a good thing that at least one of you is a "planner" or you'd never leave home!
Does your DH like to drive fast (I mean REALLY fast)? If so they have a racecar ride-a-long at the WDW Speedway. I gave the Rookie Experience to my DH for his birthday. He drove a real racecar 10 laps!
Another thought is dinner at the Wilderness Lodge, or The Boardwalk.

Ave...poor Case!!! Was he upset about missing the first day?Did he need stitches?

Fiona, patients at the doctors office do the same thing. Our office tries very hard to NOT overbook. We also try to allow enough time for each patient, but today a pataint who said she was coming in for a annual exam (15 min appt) then said...I'm here because I'm pregnant" (45 min appt) THEN...It happened AGAIN. Oh well no lunch for us today!
