Fiona,
I know exactly what you are going through with your teenage son. Since both sons are home from college for the summer, I have it double time at my house. If they aren't working, they sleep till late afternoon and then go to bed around 3am. I never know what stray child I will finding sleeping on my sofa on the weekends.
As for the grass, it looks like a field. DS#2 was going to mow it yesterday since he didn't have to work, but that didn't happen. I guess sleep got in the way since I got home at 4pm and he was just getting out of bed. Both of them are working the rest of the week, so I guess Norm and I will be mowing. Our neighbor is away and we have to do theirs also.
I have had to put a VCR in the bedroom to do my Walk Away the Pounds videos, since I was doing my exercising in the living room but DS#1 bedroom is right below and my excercising at 6am was disturbing his sleep.
DS#1 has now told me he is getting another tattoo before he goes back to college. He is saving all his tip money to get something on his back. I guess since he dumped the girlfriend he now has extra money. He already has long hair, goatee, piercing, and a tattoo all he needs is a Harley.
DS#2 is just the opposite. He has really curly hair and only wears designer clothing (thank heavens for outlet stores). He is so tight with his money, that he wouldn't waste it on a tattoo.
The teenage years are just another one of life's challenges that give us grey hairs.
Later,
Nancy
