Well, we are certainly pastdue with our bios. Here goes:
Tulirich and I will be married 27 years come September. We have one son who will be 19 in a few weeks. He is attending a local college and taking the courses to get a Bachelors in Professional Studies in Business with an Audiotechnology Sequence. - Is that a mouthful or what!? He did very well the first semester but had to withdraw the second due to pneumonia. He is presently taking summer classes to play catchup and is doing very well with them.
We have several furry children - a dog, Samantha, and four cats! I can't believe I have four cats. Many of you already know about Oliver and we also have King, Gizmo and Nibbles. Oh, yes our son also has a parakeet named Jewel, named after the singer, and all the animals go to her at one time or other for counseling. But when the baby, Nibbles, seeks her counsel, she always seems to startle Jewel a bit because she frantically raps on the cage for her attention and advice. (Cuz they do talk after that!)
Tulirich has a degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked in the NYS court system for 25 years. He is an Associate Court Clerk. He is looking forward to retirement in another year or so. The building he works in is the one you see if you watch the T.V. show "Law and Order". He says they are a nuisance when they are there filming.
Tulirose is not a nurse but I have been in the medical field for 29 years! Wow! I went to college for two years and then went into Medical Transcription. Once our son was born, I went part time. It has been a good field for me, allowing me flexibility to always be home to get son on bus in a.m. and be there upon his return in the afternoons. I did try twice working from home and both times they served their purposes but I much prefer going to an office to work and leaving it all behind at the end of the workday.
This will be our third
Disney Cruise. We cruised on Holland American to Bermuda for our honeymoon. Our first Disney Cruise was in August of 2000 - the three day Wonder. Then we were on Cruisetoberfest I in September of 2001. Looking so forward to meeting old and new Cruisetoberfesters sailing on this cruise in October.
We don't really consider ourselves Disney nuts. We don't have a lot of Disney memorabilia. Disney is more a nostalgic thing for us -- especially compared with some of you young ones out there. On Sunday nights, we both remember sitting in front of the TV to watch "
Disneyland" (the original name of the show later called "The Wonderful World of Disney"). It was a definite "must-see" in our homes. And we remember Walt Disney himself, with cigarette in hand, introducing the show. We also were fans of "The Mickey Mouse Club". Going to WDW and taking Disney cruises (especially with great fellow passengers such as Cruisetoberfesters) sort of brings us back to memories of wonderment and awe that we experienced as children watching those shows. And we like to recapture those feelings - one gets a bit jaded as one ages, ya know.
That's about it for us! Who's next on the hit parade?
