Hi, Everyone!

I was solo last year and thoroughly enjoyed the brunch with a great bunch of DISers. Ave did a wonderful job of organizing. I'm pretty sure that we almost filled the room ourselves.

Hope you all have a fantastic cruise--
Karen

Truth be known, I had no idea if our plans would work or not. But glad they did, and glad you wound up at our table. Hope you and yours are doing well. Ave'

Hey Karen. Wish that you were going with us again this year.

Ave hope that you are settling in at the new job ok.

Mary Jo if you are renting a car you might want to take a side trip to chattanooga while you are in town to see the Tennessee Aquarium and point park where the battle above the clouds was fought in the civil war.

Cathy we have a fire station about a mile from the house. You will have to come to Nashville and bring Ashlee. We could take her to the station and let her water the bushes;) ;) ;)

Mike

Hey Ave - Can you sign Chris and I up for the Palo Brunch? I'm sure that we'll need a little adult time.

Just returned late last night from BCV! I coach a JO volleyball team that played in an AAU tournament at Wide World of Sports...the girls played well and finished 7th (17 and under) and 1st place in the clasic section pool!! I took the team to MGM on Thursday before they boarded their plane late in the afternoon. It rained the past few days so we were not able to use stormalong bay very much.

This weekend in Pan-O-Prog soccer tourney in Lakeville so it is a mad race to the fields...DS just played Dakota Rev this morning (That's your neck of the woods Boardwalk4me).

Christy and I would love to arrange a MN get together sometime in mid July of early August if at all possible???

Doug

Congratulations to you and your team. That time period will work for us.

If you get email notification and delete it without actually going to the thread that time, you will not get another notification. It will only notify you one time no matter how many postings there are until you visit the thread. I don't know if this is your problem. I don't even know if I am explaining this clearly enough to make any sense.

I'm one of the slowpokes that has only been following the thread on occasion.

One question though--isn't Palo brunch $10 per adult?

I'm not sure if we will be joining for brunch this year (we did it in the "private" room last Halloween with the Halloween DIS cruisers and had a fantastic time)--but we will be going to Palo for brunch on one fo the days (either Sunday or Monday)

You all sure do get a lot of pages between days!! Whew, have we got some talkers here?!! :p

I am one old fat tired person. This morning I sprayed the yard for mosquitoes, then replaced all the spark plugs in my son's GEO tracker along with new spark plug wires and a new EGR valve. Then watered the wife's tomato and pepper plants.

Kathy and I watched the magic dock in Key West this morning. We were both singing when you wish upon a star. Is that sad or what. WE WANT TO CRUISE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike

Yes, Brunch is 10.00 per person. This price includes a glass of champange. If you tell your server you do not want the champange the price is reduced to 5.00. But heck...what's Brunch without a little bubbley? BTW the champagne is VERY good, even DH liked it. SueEllen, I hope you deside to join us for brunch.

Mike...you work too hard! I missed the docking this afternoon. I was reading the new Harry Potter book. I have to read it when the kids are busy. We are all reading it at different times! I ALMOST bought two of them, but I am too cheap!LOL!

Karen, nice to hear from you! Wish you were sailing with us! Maybe next year to Antigua???Rae has already booked for Oct 2004!

Well, we are certainly pastdue with our bios. Here goes:

Tulirich and I will be married 27 years come September. We have one son who will be 19 in a few weeks. He is attending a local college and taking the courses to get a Bachelors in Professional Studies in Business with an Audiotechnology Sequence. - Is that a mouthful or what!? He did very well the first semester but had to withdraw the second due to pneumonia. He is presently taking summer classes to play catchup and is doing very well with them.

We have several furry children - a dog, Samantha, and four cats! I can't believe I have four cats. Many of you already know about Oliver and we also have King, Gizmo and Nibbles. Oh, yes our son also has a parakeet named Jewel, named after the singer, and all the animals go to her at one time or other for counseling. But when the baby, Nibbles, seeks her counsel, she always seems to startle Jewel a bit because she frantically raps on the cage for her attention and advice. (Cuz they do talk after that!)

Tulirich has a degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked in the NYS court system for 25 years. He is an Associate Court Clerk. He is looking forward to retirement in another year or so. The building he works in is the one you see if you watch the T.V. show "Law and Order". He says they are a nuisance when they are there filming.

Tulirose is not a nurse but I have been in the medical field for 29 years! Wow! I went to college for two years and then went into Medical Transcription. Once our son was born, I went part time. It has been a good field for me, allowing me flexibility to always be home to get son on bus in a.m. and be there upon his return in the afternoons. I did try twice working from home and both times they served their purposes but I much prefer going to an office to work and leaving it all behind at the end of the workday.

This will be our third Disney Cruise. We cruised on Holland American to Bermuda for our honeymoon. Our first Disney Cruise was in August of 2000 - the three day Wonder. Then we were on Cruisetoberfest I in September of 2001. Looking so forward to meeting old and new Cruisetoberfesters sailing on this cruise in October.

We don't really consider ourselves Disney nuts. We don't have a lot of Disney memorabilia. Disney is more a nostalgic thing for us -- especially compared with some of you young ones out there. On Sunday nights, we both remember sitting in front of the TV to watch "Disneyland" (the original name of the show later called "The Wonderful World of Disney"). It was a definite "must-see" in our homes. And we remember Walt Disney himself, with cigarette in hand, introducing the show. We also were fans of "The Mickey Mouse Club". Going to WDW and taking Disney cruises (especially with great fellow passengers such as Cruisetoberfesters) sort of brings us back to memories of wonderment and awe that we experienced as children watching those shows. And we like to recapture those feelings - one gets a bit jaded as one ages, ya know.

That's about it for us! Who's next on the hit parade?

Got back from my conference in Cincinnati Thursday morning. I didn't realize how close Kentucky is to Cincinnati, until we took the bus to get ice cream one night. We had to go across the river to Kentucky to the Riverfront area to get ice cream. First time, I had to travel to another state for my ice cream craving.

Glad to be back home. Between my vacation and the conference the past 30 days have flown by, so now anxious for October so I get to cruise again.

Saturday, was the first day of summer, however for us in the Northeast you never would have know it was summer. It was Jeans and sweatshirt weather with temps only in the 50's. Plus the lovely rain. Our church has a carnival every year which is the big fund raiser for us. The carnival was pretty much a wipe out this year. Two nights it wasn't even open because of the downpour. Norm said that we will all be getting a letter asking for us to donate the money we would have normally spent at the carnival. LOL

Got to get to work.

Later,
Nancy

Can't complain about the weather here. It was nice and sunny all weekend and this week it's supposed to be really hot -- high today is 33C -- the hottest it's been all year. Humidity might be a problem the next few days but after the winter and spring we've had I'll take it.

Had a quiet weekend really. Got Harry Potter on Saturday and have read the first 8 chapters -- Jim is one behind me. We only got one copy so we have to share. We didn't spend the entire weekend reading though so we aren't really slow readers.

Worked more in the backyard on Saturday. That's becoming really not fun but we are getting there. We have one more 'side' to do but it contains a bunch of cedar hedges that we aren't sure what we are going to do with yet. I have a feeling they are coming down though. Once everything is down we are then going to have to figure out what's going back up in their place. Chris says that it's looking stark bare and please do something about it -- he doesn't volunteer to help though. :D

Chris seemed to have a good weekend at basic training. He fell asleep on the ride home and was grumpy when he woke up so didn't get too many details last night. Might get more today. He does have to be at the base at 7:30am Saturday morning to catch the bus to Meaford where he will spend the summer. He is looking forward to it which is a good thing. Guess we'll be up early next Saturday to drive him over.

Jays are here this week so we'll be busy every night. They are in second place at the moment ahead of Boston but we'll see what happens.

Gotta get some work done. :(

Looking forward to October.

Fiona

Hi Folks,
this is the Colorado-Germany-Connection calling ;)
We spent a great weekend: Saturday we went to Rocky Mountain National Park and hiked a bit. We did two 12,000ers.
Sunday we visited the Denver Zoo and went to a nice Mall.
For next Saturday we have made reservations for the Cograilway to go up to Pike's Peak. Additionally we will see the Garden of Gods.

CU soon

Eric

Happy Monday Everyone!

Couldn't find a spare copy of the new Harry book anywhere. DD is frantic. I guess I should have reserved one.:( Next shipment is due at Walmart on Wed. I hope she can wait that long.

Hi, all!

Just got caught up reading so a quick post before we head out the door.

Avé-- Could you please change the number of people for scootersmom from 2 to 3 for the brunch? We don't want to leave Mandy out! :p

If anyone will be at WDW the week of July 20th through the 27th, Josh and I will be there with my mom! Just booked today and we're excited! Not sure where we'll be on which day just yet, but we're staying at Dixie Landings (Riverside  )

Gotta run...

Colleen

Colleen, Sorry about that. I did have Mandy on my list, just missed it when posting. Ave'

Colleen - I'm not sure when you're going to get to WDW on the 20th, but we'll be there the weekend of the 18th - 20th for my birthday. We're going to be staying at the Beach Club Villas. Let me know, and maybe we can get together to say howdy!!!

Hi. We had our reservation switched from DCL to Travelocity today to take advantage of Travelocity's $100 per cabin credit. It is valid for reservations made w/Travelocity between now and July 3rd, I believe. We had just booked with DCL last week and the cruise was still on complimentary hold until tomorrow. We had not applied any payment until today. I don't know if older reservations can be switched as easily, but it was definitely a simple process for us. We didn't even have to call DCL--we just gave Travelocity our reservation numbers and they were able to do the rest. Price for the cruise was exactly the same, no surcharge for using Travelocity, and we got the $100 credit. My parents got the same, so we have $200 to have fun with on the ship!
