:bounce: JEEZ!:bounce: You guys gained 6 pages on me while we were away.

 Had a heck of at time getting to this thread ... not sure what happened. I almost had a heart attack!

I'll try and get in some reading of what I missed while away.

Had a GREAT weekend with SarahsMom in Williamsburg VA. We stopped in Norfolk and did a tour of the battleship Wisconsin then drove down to VA Beach and met ScootersMom ... we had a real
BALL. It is so funny that all our husbands are so leary about meeting people that we only talk to on the net ... Not sure where they got the impression we're axe murderers! After about 2 minutes they were talking like they knew each other for years. These meets really help with breaking the conversation ice. After dinner we sent back to Coleen & Don's room at the hotel in VA beach. Beautiful, right on the beach and boardwalk ... people watched for about an hour and then we headed back to Williamsburg. IT WAS A REALLY GREAT TIME.

Now I'm back at work ... Yuck!

I'l try and catchup on what I missed and post some more. BUT after this weekend I WANNA CRUISE - I WANNA CRUISE NOW!

Cathy with a C

Wow! Go away for a week and the thread really takes off! You guys were busy. I'll try to catch up later.

We had a great vacation and an especially fun time meeting our DIS friends, Sarahsmom & family and Cathy & Art. Good food, fun conversation and nice people.
I'd recommend a meet for any of you that live close enough to do it before we cruise. We need to make plans for all the Ohio people.

Mary Jo-- Thanks to your friend for suggesting the restaurant. It was a good choice. And thanks for all the help and info you gave us while we planned our trip. It helped us out a lot!

Cathy-- Thanks for the cute Mickey pins and Josh's activity packet. We ate at Bob Evan's on Saturday and Josh didn't want to take the activity book they gave him because he already had 'the one from Cathy'. :) Too funny.....I guess he got over you commenting on his nice curly hair! ;)

Can't wait for the cruise!!

Well, Josh and I are off to the store... we have no milk, etc.

This is a portable harddisk, with an integrated MP3-Encoder/Player, an MPEG4/DIVX-videoplayer which can be connected to your TV, playing movies ripped from the Internet. It automatically encodes audio from any source to MP3. It also has a small colour-screen, which can be used to check the photos or watch movies. It starts at about €250 ($295) and goes up to about €500 ($590) for the biggest one with 40 GB-disk and an integrated FM-radio.
.

Viking, have you used any of the Archos products? I have looked at them but a couple of friend have had them and keep pointing me toward ipods.

Every morning I check the boards as part of my morning routine. So, for months now, reading Eric's posts are how I begin my day. What am I going to do with him being a way from the boards??!!!LOL! ANJA....are you there??? You MUST fill in for Eric!LOL!

Yucky day at work yesterday. But, today WILL be better!

Hello Cruisers from 2002!

I just found out that October 2, 2004 - the Magic will be adding Antigua!! I've changed our sail date to reflect that and added a new thread with other POC changes (Puerto Rico).

Here's hoping that we get the opportunity to sail with you Party Animals again!

Much love to all!

Rae

Mary (Relling Twin) ... Were your ears ringing Friday evening? We went to VA Beach with MaryJo (Sarsh's Mom) and met with Colleen (Scootersmom) for dinner. Josh and George Jr could be twins ... what a riot. Josh's actions reminded me so much of George. Funny story - I made up little Mickey care packages for Josh and Sarah with some bubble gum. Josh asked if the gum was a week old cause it tasted it - probably was, cause that's when I made up the packs BUT only a kid would think of that.

Ave (TwinAve) ... your daughter Mary will have sooooooooooo much in common with Sarah. Urge more e-mail between them.

Gotta run ... work calls!

We've been paying ours off in installments. Jen's military discount for the category 7 was excellent and its freed up some significant spa money. We should be making our final payment just before the end of July.

BTW, anyone else frustrated that the Disney site lets you only pay off the full balance by credit card? It shouldn't be hard for them to let you make partial payments but I guess it wasn't something they considered.

Colleen...DS George wants to know if your DS Josh likes to fish?

Mike, I LOVE to see my "O balance". It make me SO HAPPY!Congrats on getting your balanced paid off.

Rae, I saw the new ports on that cruise and mentioned it to DH. He said, "I thought we were going to go to WDW next year?" I thought maybe he would have forgotten that! Darn! I have until November to book our week at WDW so I think after the cruise I would have a better chance of talking him into the cruise vs the World. Truth be told, while I love WDW, it winds up being a lot of work for me. We stay at the Boardwalk using our points and that means no maid service so beds have to be made, some meals have to be prepared, laundry has to be done, and while we try not to cram too much into a day, we always do too much. If it were up to me I would wait until we live in Fla again before going back to WDW (when we can get the Fl resident pass) and do the cruise again in Oct 2004. It's good to know that you booked. I may be able to use that as leverage  Maybe I will do some research on Antigua and see if there is something there that would change his mind.

Hi Everyone,
Sherri, Thanks for the photos. We also got to ride in the nose a few times. Always a treat!:D
Welcome to momofone! How old is your daughter? Does she want a list of DisKids that are cruising with us? This is only my second cruise, but this group always makes you feel right at home.
My new job is going well. Trying to settle into a routine, learn where everything is, and get use to my new co-workers and doctor. But so far everything is swell.:smooth:
We still have a bit to pay off on our cruise. Looking forward to the day I see a big fat O balance.:bounce:
So glad to hear all about the Dis mini-meet. Sounds like you all had a fun time.
Got to run and find my runaway dog. Again!;)
Later, Ave

Ave glad that the new job is working out. Hope that everyone is doing well and is looking forward to this cruise.

Antigua in 2004?? Hummm

Mike

Ave --- glad your new job is working out. I know it's hard to get used to a new job, new co-workers and most important of all "just where the heck is the bathroom again". hehehe

I see that there are quite a few of us going back to WDW after the cruise. It's fun to do the cruise and then be able to go visit Mickey at his "house" and do a little Disney Shopping before we have to go back to the "real world". ;) Maybe Eric can add something somewhere on the "list" on who is going to WDW post cruise.

I only asked off through the saturday, so I might be there driving trains sunday the 19th. October is generally when things start winding down though and I get back to saturday only. Of course if anyone can figure out the logic in how they schedule part timers at WDW, a nobel prize will be coming their way.

I originally planned to go to Universal after the cruise but we were requested by my in-laws who live in florida to come and visit them for a few days. How disappointing to have to cancel plans that I was really looking forward to. Especially since we are leaving this Saturday to go visit them for a week. Oh well....

The sun will come out tomorrow...Hopefully. Its pouring here.

With all this talk about staying a day after....you are all making me jealous. I am trying to figure out a way I can talk my DH into leaving Thursday as soon as he gets off work and driving straight through (600 miles). I would like to go to MK on Friday and stay for the Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party then drive to the Radisson Friday night. Do you think that would be too much for the day before the cruise?

Hope

Hi Hope,

We are going to be at WDW 2 days prior to the cruise. We're doing Epcot Thursday, MGM Friday and then Mickey's Not-So-Scary at the MK that night. Since a good portion of the rides are open during Not-So-Scary, we thought we would get to do two parks then! It's not over until 12 AM. We're staying at All-Star Music and then going to the port in the morning. I know I would be too tired to drive to the port after the parks! If you're going to be driving all day Thursday, you probably won't want to drive more on Friday. Just my opinion!

Kate

How far is the port from MK? We already have ressies at the Radisson for Friday night. I only came up with this wild idea after seeing the Halloween party was going on Friday.

What time do you plan on arriving at the port on Friday? The reason for me staying at the Radisson is I want to be at the port the minute the doors open, 10 - 10:30!! I am so excited I can't stand it.

I want to start packing some things, but my DH thinks I am nuts! I bought two underwater cameras last night and put them in my stash!

We went to the Halloween party two years ago. Most of the big rides are open, right? I can't remember that far back!

Hope

We are going to fly down on friday and go to MK to go to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party. We havent made any reservations yet but will start doing so when I get back from Florida. We probably will stay outside the park and drive to the port the next day. On the last cruise we drove to the port that morning and were the 2nd people in line. How exciting that was.

Arlene

Okay, I'm convinced!! I am going to go to MK on Friday then the Halloween party also. I suppose I should wait until I have enough money saved before I break the news to my DH!!!

Hope
