Thanks for asking Tammy,

We are still without power and water thanks to Hurricane Isabel, but I'm hanging in there. It's been 3 days, and expected to be about a week to 10 days before we are restored. Thank goodness for a generator to run my refrigerator and my laptop It's been a nightmare--lots of damage and destruction, and to top it off it is VERY hot here (in the mid to upper 80's and no A/C due to the power outage!)

I can't wait to get on the ship in a few weeks. I can't believe the time is here already!

Hello, It was suggested that I introduce myself as we will be on the October 11 cruise. This is our first cruise and I am very excited. I am looking forward to everything including meeting some of you! I will be cruising with my dh, our 11 year old grandson and our 12 year old nephew. Once again, I am looking forward to meeting some great people and here's hoping everyone has a safe trip getting to the port. See you in 3 weeks!

Where are you staying the night before? We are staying at the Radisson with about 16 other families that will be cruising with us.

WELL .................

As it is now we arrive Friday night at about 11pm ...
and we have a room booked at the Hyatt at the Airport...
and then we meet Viking and others for pickup at hyatt at 9:30
for the ride to the port...


BUT im really getting the bug bad as most of u know we have not been to Disney since Labor day weekend 2003..................

So we have come up with New Plan....

We now will be leaving Thursday night, Oct.9th
Going to the world and checking in at the WILDERNESS LODGE
(DVC) for thursday and friday evengs ,

ON FRIDAY NIGHT WE WILL BE GOING TO .....
MICKEYS NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY yeah

AND AFTER BACK TO OUR ROOM AT THE WILDERNESS LODGE

Saturday morning we will go to the airport hyatt to meet up with the folks who we r sharing the ride to the port with......

Do not have rooms at Wilderness Lodge yet , Should be no problem as Dvc does not open til tommorrow....

Hello Hope!

We are flying in the morning of the cruise. I wish we had did it differently and come in the night before but...you live and learn. We will do that the next time! I am so excited about this cruise that I am even having nightmares! (It had something to do with Palo and reservations!) I have learned so much from these boards and I know we will have a great time! Hopefully I will meet alot of you on the ship.....Denise

Just back from my niece's 3rd birthday party -- Barbie theme. The cake was a Barbie doll with a real barbie in the middle of it and the cake was the dress -- really cute. Sloane (my niece) was really cute about opening up her presents and she knows how to pose for the camera too!!

Tried to print out the logos on my brother's colour print -- only problem is that it wouldn't print out blue. He had to reinstall the printer drivers since they moved and he thinks he may not have gotten them right. He's going to work on it for the next week so that we can finally get the logos printed. Everything has a slight yellow tint and Mickey is wearing yellow instead of green on the cruisetoberfest logo! Hopefully it will work out in the end or ours will be slightly differently coloured!!

Jim won't allow suitcases out til after tomorrow night but has agreed to go clothes shopping Tuesday night -- this might be a problem as it's the premier of the new Navy Jag spin off -- correct name escapes me but it's one with Mark Harmon. Wed night might be a possibility but Thurs is out because of Survivor. I kept telling him I wanted stuff done early -- he thought I was over planning but really I just wanted to watch all the premieres on TV!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Only 12.5 more workdays to go.

I don't think she's on the list, but TinkerBarb is going to be in my cabin so we'll need stuff for her too. I'll let her make her own T-Shirt, but for the other stuff, I don 't want her to be left out. Send me a bill!

Sorry you are having nightmares about Palo. But I know what you mean. My first cruise was last year and even with the help of these boards, and my sister's help we were still "worried" about stuff. If you and your DH would like to join our group for Brunch at Palo on Monday at 10:30, please let me know. We have a group of 52 people, sitting at 8 large tables. My marathon work blitz is over. Whew!! 19 days straight without a day off. I slept in this morning!(or should I say this afternoon) Today is DH birthday, and tomorrow is DS birthday, Tuesday I start my IV therapy night class. And I'm working all week plus Sat. But I do have next Sunday off. Nothing like staying busy to make the time go by.

Is anyone doing the "signature pillowcases" for their children? I just read about it on another thread. You can bring a pillowcase, leave it at the front desk (can't think of the "official" term) then at the end of the cruise pick it up and it will have all the characters signatures on it. I thought I'd get a plain white one and iron on the CruiseoctoberfestII logo on it. Whatcha think?

Hi Lisa,

I got Haley a Disney Princesses pillowcase on Ebay that I'm bringing to have the characters sign for her.

Using the Cruisetoberfest logo sounds like a good idea. It'll definitely be a one of a kind pillowcase.

Ave(TwinAve) sorry I havn't called you. I got my phone bill!!! Looks like it's going to be e-mails for awhile.I'm glad you got some rest today.You DD sent me a photo of her wearing her new dress, VERY NICE!OH! I love the idea of the bags Ave! Last year I had to send one of the kids to the cabin to get something to hold all the stuff!It gets windy on deck, and I'd hate for anything to get blown away.

Tammy (tammeb)there is no charge for the lanyards, pins, door magnets ect. BUT...do try to make it to the sail away get together as I think that's werelots of the stuff will be handed out.

We are down to the wire now!! I took DH tux to the cleaners this weekend, also finished the T-shirts, pressed some clothes, and finished the kids gift bags.

OT...did anyone see Trading Spaces last night?? I would have to KILL someone if they decorated my bedroom like a PRISON! YUCK!
