Hi Folks,
WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
We had a whale of a time. Berlin is such a great -and large- city!!!
We visited:
-The Palais and Gardens of Sans Souci of King Friedrich II
-The Zoo (former West-Berlin)
-The Tierpark (former East-Berlin's Zoo)
-The TV-Tower of more than 1000feet height
-The Reichstag (Our Congress)
-The Berlin Dungeon, a freaky horror-show in a WWII-bombshelter
-The Museum for Palaeontology, Zoology and Biology, displaying the largest dinosaur-skeleton of the world of 120feet length and 40feet height, a Brontosaurus.
-The Museum for Technical Development
-The Story of Berlin, a wonderful multimedia-exhibition covering the more than 750 years from the founding days til the fall of The Wall
-Every Departmentstore and nearly every shoe and clothes shop in the inner city
-And the
ONLY Dunkin Donuts in Germany. Berlin has three of them, the rest of the country: Z-E-R-O

, but this may be an advantage for our waistlines
We averaged about 10 miles of walking per day and also rode the subway, the city-trains and the buses a lot.
The weather was near perfect, with only one rainy day and a short thunderstorm with some hail.
Both flights were smooth and perfectly on time (Don't forget: It's Germany

)
But flying such short distances is like being shot out of a cannon: You take off, climb to cruising altitude, cruise for a couple of minutes, descend and land. All in 40-45 minutes. The flight attendents barely have time to serve some beverages and collect the glasses.
