SNOW !!! About a foot so far...now ice on top of that......I'm moving in with my son in Miami...shhh,don't tell him....

Mary-Jo,Cathy & Nancy...have a wonderful time at Dis meet..We really are sorry to miss it.....:(

Hi to everyone else...and Mary, today we need those jumpers...lol

Kim & Bette

Papa.......did you get any of those storms last night?? We did about 5 AM we had a round of loud thunder storms. To me it was great, to my dd's it wasn't. We ended up playing musical beds at 5 AM!! Luckily everyone made it back to sleep. What a beautiful day here...going to reach 80 here.

Is everyone really going to send a picture? I hate every picture taken of myself. I don't have any recent ones. I think the last group photo we had taken was at DW in 2001~~

I also can't find Eric's AOL address. Oh well, everyone can just look for my big red mickey duffle bag and you'll know it is me!!

Have a great day!!!

Hope :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I am having a rare weekend alone! DH took the kids on a cub scout camping trip! I am enjoying doing NOTHING!!!! I have control of the remote, don't have to cook and get to take a nap later today! ALMOST as nice as a cruise!LOL!

Hi Folks,

WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We had a whale of a time. Berlin is such a great -and large- city!!!
We visited:
-The Palais and Gardens of Sans Souci of King Friedrich II
-The Zoo (former West-Berlin)
-The Tierpark (former East-Berlin's Zoo)
-The TV-Tower of more than 1000feet height
-The Reichstag (Our Congress)
-The Berlin Dungeon, a freaky horror-show in a WWII-bombshelter
-The Museum for Palaeontology, Zoology and Biology, displaying the largest dinosaur-skeleton of the world of 120feet length and 40feet height, a Brontosaurus.
-The Museum for Technical Development
-The Story of Berlin, a wonderful multimedia-exhibition covering the more than 750 years from the founding days til the fall of The Wall
-Every Departmentstore and nearly every shoe and clothes shop in the inner city ;)
-And the ONLY Dunkin Donuts in Germany. Berlin has three of them, the rest of the country: Z-E-R-O :( , but this may be an advantage for our waistlines :jester:
We averaged about 10 miles of walking per day and also rode the subway, the city-trains and the buses a lot.
The weather was near perfect, with only one rainy day and a short thunderstorm with some hail.
Both flights were smooth and perfectly on time (Don't forget: It's Germany ;) )
But flying such short distances is like being shot out of a cannon: You take off, climb to cruising altitude, cruise for a couple of minutes, descend and land. All in 40-45 minutes. The flight attendents barely have time to serve some beverages and collect the glasses.

Talking about the pics for a web-page:
Please use my AOL-adress for sending them. It's on the List, I don't want to publish it here as it contains my full name.
The size of the pics shouldn't exceed about 240x160 (Horizontal alignment), respectively 160x240 (Vertical alignment), the pics should be at least of HiColor-Quality, better TrueColor. The file-format should be JPEG, but you can also send other formats, which will then be converted. The conversion may lead to quality loss as Shari already mentioned.
Please refrain from making you look younger, leaner, prettier to avoid disappointment at the terminal :jester:
Please also don't send in pics of Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts or other celebrities with your name on it - I'll get you!!!!!!!!! And will then replace the pic by one of Roseanne Barr, John Goodman or somebody similar :p

Eric and Anja welcome back. Sounds like you had a FANTASIC time.

Cathy, I have been lurking some, but keeping up is hard when you only get a chance to check a few times a week.

DS is going to the Junior Prom tonight. He gets to use the tux we brought for him on etuxedo.com again.

We are also planning a trip of Easter Vacation to WDW. Driving down with another family (friends of DS). Stay at OKW.

Dave

The catfish has been finished. Here is a link to the catfish album: Catfish

Welcome back Eric and Anja.

Good to see you posting Dave and have a safe trip and a wonderful time in Disney World.

Katie has given me her cold. My throat is scratchy, my head hurts and I am running a temperature. I need tlc. Mike

Mike I LOVE THE FISH!!! They did a great job. And I just LOVE the underbelly!! Too funny!!!!

Eric and Anja - WELCOME HOME!

Dave - Good to see you posting. Have fun in WDW. Jr. prom!? Doesn't it just seem like just yesterday that they were starting kindergarden?

Rainy and cold here but had a great day at the Gardening seminar. Won one plant. Bought two others.

Hope the Lancaster meet went well.

Mary- Enjoy your alone time!

Great catfish!! As werid as it may seem, we do not have Holstein catfish here in Minnesota.:jester:

Are the really called "Holstein"-Catfish? I'm asking, because Anja is from Schleswig-Holstein, the northernmost state of Germany.

The fish looks great Mike!!!

Matt the catfish are part of a exhibit that is going to be placed here in Nashville, much like the cows in Chicago, pigs and other animals in cities around the us. No Eric just plain old catfish. She made this one look like a holstein to go with the farm raised theme.

Mary hope that you enjoyed your time alone this weekend. Stacey is working for Dell computer in the business call center and I am now in full Mr. Mom mode here. The little squirt has given me her cold:( Now we are both drooling.

Mike

Now I got it: Holstein-Catfish because the fish's coloring resembles the cow's :p

What great pictures of the catfish!!! I love how it is painted like a cow! We will have to come to Nashville and see the exhibit! The kids will love it!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Not much going on here today. I will be lurking. Have some work to do at home this morning!

Hope

Scootersdad told me he posted today... didn't have much to say I guess! :-)

We've just been really busy, but have read a page or two here and there... still thinking of all of you.

Mike--The fish looks great! Hope you and Katie shake those colds soon. Kids have strong germs, don't they?

Mary-- Enjoy your alone weekend. That sounds so relaxing, but I'd end up spending it catching up on housework and such.

Eric and Anja-- Glad you had such a good trip. You sure did a lot. I sent a pic to your AOL address of Don, Josh and myself... still looking for one of my MIL, Mandy. Will just have to take one soon I guess.

We finished our bowling league last night. I ended the season with a 148, 221, and 153. Not bad since I had a 141 average.

We're heading down to Salt Fork for Easter weekend in a lakeside chalet cabin to celebrate my b'day. Can't wait! Hot tub, here I come!

Gotta run.... lots of stuff to do today, but wanted to at least touch base here.

Take care, all.
Colleen

LOVE the catfish!!!!I saw the "Bull" exhibit when I was in Chicago a few years ago. It was pretty neat! I'll bet the catfish draw a great crowd.Mike...hope you feel better soon...Katie too!

My family is home and I'm glad! They had a great camping trip, and I had a very nice "alone time", but they are glad to be back, and I am glad to have them back!

The fish still needs to go get it's double coat of clear-coat marine finish applied.

Colleen enjoy your Easter and have a very happy birthday.

Yeah quiet time is nice Mary. Know that you are glad to get the family home.

We are under a tornado warning here at this time for the northern part of the Nashville area. 80º one day 45 the next. No wonder everyone is sick. That is the thing about Tennessee. If you do not like the weather just wait 30 minutes and it will change.

Hope they are putting them all around the Nashville area and when they are out you will have to come and see them.

Eric hope that you do not have a pile of work to do since your holiday. Maybe you can get Anja to help you move the pile of papers off of your windshield so that you can see the autobahn.

Hope that the Lancaster meet went well for all the girls there in the Pennsylvania area. Mike

Mike,
I was lucky, respectively my colleagues were busy: No work on my windshield;) I called ahead on Friday and already knew that there wasn't anything waiting for me. I only expected some of the jokers to leave a note at my windshield making me go up two floors just to discover a message "April 1st was during your vacation!" :p

I received pics from Shari and Colleen - Thank you!! I hope I'll find time during the Easter weekend to start working on the page. When the weather's bad, I should be able to do it ;) We have four days off: Good Friday til Monday.

Mike--- The finished catfish is really great. Your daughter is very talented. So who does she get that from? Loved the hidden Mickey. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

We had a great time in Lancaster. Lunch @ Cracker Barrel and the we went to see "Daniel" @ Sight and Sound. I have never been to any of there productions. It was totally awesome. Mary Jo got us really good seats for going at the last minute. It said if you want weekend seats to get them 6 month ahead, she was able to get them 3 days away from the show. Take Indiana Jones props, The American Experience show combined together and put it in a huge theater with live animals and you kind of get an idea of the size of this show. We had horses, camels, dog, doves, mules, oxen along with at least a hundred performers. Cathy and I were waiting for real lions to came out when Daniel was thrown into the lions den, but there were robotics. I would love to take the behind the scences tour sometime, to see how they could get all the sets onto the stage. It was really awesome. It was great meeting Mary Jo and Sarah and seeing Cathy again.

We hope to have other mini meets so we can meet others. Just let us know who is interested and where you would like to meet.

Got to go get dinner together. I did a little shopping today for some spring clothes at Kohl's. But tomorrow will have the winter clothes on as we are to get 4" of snow. Will it ever get warm????

Later,
Nancy

Forgot to welcome back Eric and Anja. It looks like you were busy during your vacation. Glad you had a great time.
