I have a 5 yr old boy who has decided lately he likes princesses. He has asked to have a meal with the princesses so I started trying to get CRT. I figure I have a short window to milk the princess thing - I only have boys . For 4 months I tried daily and had no luck. But one day last month I got a 2:40 lunch. Only the system died on me halfway through the reservation  I checked my online reservations and it was not there. I called and was told it did not go through and there was nothing available now. So I kept looking with no luck. Then of course the reservation system went down during the 72 hours prior so I could not even call and see if there were any cancelations. I did call and was told I could try a walkup but not to hold my breath. This morning rolled around and I was looking for my list of ADR's. I had printed them out quickly before leaving on our vacation. I grabbed them and looked closely for our breakfast time and there was CRT! :goodvibes I did get the 2:40 ADR after all. Glad I had to check the other ADR or I would have never known until I saw my credit card statement. What a nice surprise :)

My son and I had planned only a couple of hours at MK but with the late ADR we stuck it out, though did take a monorail ride mid day. We arrived at CRT about 2:30. We were ushered into a madhouse and a line for Cinderella. She was very nice and I have a fabulous photo of my son with her. We then sat down and waited for our name to be called. The rush quickly ended and suddenly the room was almost empty. Cinderella was able to come over and speak to my son a bunch of times. She even sat down with him once. He whispered to me that he loved her :goodvibes It was too sweet.

Our name was finally called. We were right at the end of the lunch rush and a lot of tables were empty. The room itself is very cool. They brought out a little appetizer of some bruschetta, grapes, cheese and a couple other small items like that. I ordered the Major Domo's Favorite Pie and my son had the pizza. I was very surprised at how good the meal was. I have heard a lot of negative comments about the food which made it seem even better. I was unable to eat much since I was exhausted but we brought it back to the room and I have dinner waiting. Dessert was chocolate mousse which is always yummy. The princess interaction was fast, some more so then others. If I was able to get them to interact they stayed longer which was nice. But honestly no worse then other character meals.

Thumbs up from us. Would we go back? probably not. For two reasons - I have boys and it is very expensive. Would I recommend it to others - yes I would if you have girls and to try it once.

thanks for posting, my son loves eating in the castle and he requested if we ate in the castle again...then they changed the menu and I'm going back and forth if I should keep it. How did your son like the pizza?

He ate half of it. He said he liked it. It was like a lot of the pizzas for kids I have seen around the park. Nothing special.

Thanks for the great review! DH and I will be eating there for his birthday before MVMCP in November. I'm glad your son liked it!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I am so glad your reservation came through! And when i read your son told Cinderella he loved her.... ahhhhhh...how sweet!!! :wizard: :lovestruc

That's wonderful it worked out for you! I'm hoping to get your luck and land a reservation there for December, but it's not looking so good thus far :o(

Aww glad your son enjoyed it. My 4 year old son loves some of the princesses right now too and when I explained all the character meals to him and wanted to dine with the princesses. CRT crossed my mind (well to cross my fingers and hope to get an ADR) and I was thinking Akershus too.
