We need to remove one adult from our Cinderella's Royal Table reservation taking us from 8 to 7 total. Will they delete our original reservation and then make a new one? I've heard horror stories about losing the original reservation and not being able to get the new one. Can anyone who has had to do this respond. I wouldn't be concerned except I'd rather not pay for our son since he has decided not to go and as far as I understand it I would have to pay for him if he is a no show. I hesitate to call without input from disers since you all know more than the reservation people do. Thanks
Sharon

Leave it alone!! Tell them when you go that your other adult guest could not come. You may have to forfeit the ressie if you call and try to change this.

I have deleted a diner at CRT without problem and my deposit was credited back immediately. But this doesn't mean that others have not had problems.

In my case, it did not change the table size for our party, since we went from an even number to an odd number. That may help.

Like OP stated, leave it alone.
I got sick one night of our trip in 08 and was unable to make breakfast the next am. My mother was along on the trip as well. So, my husband took 2 of our 3 kids to breakfast while the rest of us stayed in the room. He told them that the other 2 adults were unable to attend and they didn't have a problem at all seating the 3 of them.

I actually have something similar. I submitted my reservations on Monday morning and found that I couldn't get CRT for 2 but I could for 3. I went ahead and booked for 3 :rolleyes1

If I don't cancel the 3rd person am I going to get charged? When I called Monday morning (I had to do the same with Tony's Town Square), the woman I spoke with was able to change my Tony's reservation from 3 to 2, but my CRT didn't connect to my trip reservation and she said I would need to call back on Wednesday since that is 90 days out from the dinner reservation date. I guess I'm worried about getting charged extra or it using extra dining points (we're on the deluxe plan and have a lot of signature restaurants planned).

thanks in advance

I just had to do this the other day. I had to change from party of 8 to a party of 7 for CRT, HDDR, and Wishes dessert party. I had no problem. I still have my original confirmation numbers. I was able to pull up all my ressies online right after I got off the phone with WDW dining and everything was all set. It took 3 days for the credit to post to my credit card.
