CRT payment question

I booked CRT as part of my dining plan, so the charge didn't go through. At the time, I was thinking of doing deluxe dining, but no have decided not too. I was going to just cancel CRT, but my DD mentioned the other day that she really hopes we eat in the castle, so I'm gonna keep it. I will NOT be using it as part of the plan though now, but pay OOP. When we get there, will they just then charge it to my CC I have on file? Or can I use a gift card?
How does that works? Last time we went I was lucky enough to get it 2 weeks before going, and the charges hadn't gone through on the card yet, and they asked when we were ready to settle the bill if we wanted to use the dining plan or charge it to the card. But I think they only asked since it hadn't gone through yet.

Hope you don't mind my joining you with this question. I'll be making ADRs in March, and we're not sure if we'll be doing the deluxe plan again. We're definitely doing HDD, but don't want to pay in advance OOP in case we do DXDP. Plus, if we do DXDP, we'll eat at CRT.

I think since you booked while on the DDP it will just stay as a CC hold until you arrive. Then you can tell them to charge it wherever you want. I don't believe the system can see a connection between your ADR and the DDP - or can't see if you cancel the DDP. I know for a fact that ADRs do not get cancelled if you cancel your entire reservation, so it seems that it should work the same.

What happened to you last time is odd - if you are saying you didn't have the DDP that trip - normally your CC is charged right when you make the reservation if you aren't on the DDP.

No we were on the dining plan, but I was going to pay OOP. That was the paln from the start. But I didn't make the ADR till 2 weeks before going, so not sure if they hadn't put it through yet, or if they knew we were on the dining plan since it was linked to our reservation, and just waited.

Last year we were on DDP and I`m pretty sure they brought out the regular itemized, pay this amount check and then they just charged the DDP on the card. We also had breakfast scheduled for Akershus(another trip)and I called and tried to cancel the night before and they told me they would charge the card on file 50.00 penalty for late cancellation.I`m guessing it was $10 per person.

I want to charge our card though. NOT use the DP. Yes I think if you don't cancel before 24 hours there is a $10 charge per person, but I also think it depends on the circumstances too, sometimes.

When your server brings your check, just give them your credit card or ask them to charge it to the card on file. Just be clear that you don't want to use TS credits. They will charge it however you want.
