CRT or CP for early breakfast??

I had already decided on CRT but now I am having second thoughts. My dd (5) was there this past October and we really liked it. It was way overpriced and our server was rude, but the castle experience was pretty cool. What was even cooler was being in MK before the park opened. So we decided since DS (11) didn't get to experience the castle, we'd go again this time, That being said, I just don't know that its worth the money. If I get CP, then we're still in the park early (assuming we get an early ressie) and its only 1 TS credit, versus the OOP it would cost us to go to the castle (I refuse to give up eight table service credits for the four of us to go here so we pay OOP). Im thinking CP will be just as good, but I need your thoughts. Money aside, is CP food better than CRT + the experience of being in the castle?

Yes CP is better that CRT in the taste department. CP is better in the character dept too. I can't see DS 11 getting into interacting with FG and Cinderella. Even my DH lets Tigger give him a hug at CP. Now take this with a grain of salt as we do not have children and can only give you an adult perspective. I really don't think DS will miss the castle, it is kinda lame in the food department IMO. And I am pooh sized and not a picky eater.

I don't have girls, but if I could only do one, it would be CP. Great food (Pooh's breakfast lasagna ahhhhhhhh), great interaction, much better price.

I guess it depends on your child...do they want Princesses or Pooh and the gang?

My nieces had a blast at the CP breakfast, loved the food, the parade around the restaurant and the characters were a huge hit

We've done both over the years, but CP remains the family tradition. The food is excellent, the character interaction fabulous, and cheap! Highly recommend it.

Everyone should eat inside the castle once. Go to CP instead.
