I have some ADR's planned and was looking to make one more. Trying to decide between CRT for lunch ot dinner or Coral Reef for the same.
It will be me and 12 y/o nephew on the free dining plan.

I've read where people have said Coral Reef will be open during Living Seas renovations. So we would still be able to see the fish swimming around, right?

But, it might be cool for us to eat in the castle, too.
Tough decisions! :)

We already have ADR's for Chef Mickeys, Liberty Tree Tavern, Concourse Steakhouse and the Kona Cafe (for my Tonga Toast breakfast - YUM!)

All opinions welcomed!

We did Coral Reef for lunch in 2004...the aquarium was nice. I did not especially care for the decor...too upscale/contemporary for a family day of fun at the park. (I felt like DH and I would have enjoyed it more if we were traveling solo. I felt like I should have been dressed-up to fit the atmostphere.)
Our family included myself, DH and DSs 6 & 4. Food was good, but I would have rather spent less on a more casual lunch and saved our $$ for more "kid fun". (Lunch was ~$70 for the 4 of us and we did not splurge.) Unless you and your nephew have never seen a large aquarium, I personally would skip it.
I don't know how a 12-year-old boy would like CRT though...I thought CRT was for girls...we've never gone. What about Hoop De Do Review or one of the other dinner shows?

I know Disney is for everyone, but DH and I prefer to do lots of stuff we know that the kids will enjoy. (I will definitely book more character meals on our upcoming trip.) Maybe it was their young ages, but at ages 6 & 4, the kids lost interest in the "main attraction" (aquarium) was quick to fade.

Just my opinion...

I would go with CRT since the refurb is going on at Coral Reef. In fact I cancelled our AR's because of that and got LeCellier, It is 1 credit TS as well. Corall Reef is 2 credit. I have read many post where the boys went to the castle and liked the special attention that the Princess showed the boys. I guess not many go as it is seems to be for girls. My son's (22 and 21), my dh, my dmil, my DGD (4) and myself are quiet excited about the castle. There is just something so Disney and magical at the Castle.
