We are debating on an ADR for CRT breakfast. What are your experience? Is it worth it?

Thanks,
Wendy

If you're going for the experience of eating in the castle and want to meet Cinderella and the other princesses, then yes, it's worth it. At least I felt it was worth doing it once for the experience. IMO though if you're going for the food, then I'd skip it.

I took my DD last year because I figured that you should eat in the castle at least one time and we had never done it before. We were on the dining plan but I didn't use it because it would have been a waste of our credits. I'm glad we went because eating in the castle was very cool but for that amount of money I'm in no hurry to go back again. The food and service were good and my DD got to see lots of princesses. If you don't want to spend the extra money to eat in the castle and get your picture taken with Cinderella then you should consider the princess breakfast at Norway because my DD didn't seem to prefer one over the other.

I truely enjoyed eating in the castle. My boys loved the princesses. (They are still little!) The food was average I thought. But it is definately more about the atmosphere then the food. I think it is something to do at least once.

If you're traveling with a little girl who is into princesses, or any child who would be impressed by eating in the castle, then I think it's a great choice. We've had breakfast there twice. The food is pretty good, not fabulous, but definitely tasty and filling. My DD loved meeting all of the princessed and DS enjoyed being in a "real" castle. DD is now 8 and not really into princesses anymore :sad2: , so I doubt we'll be eating there again any time soon.

Ha - DH and I ate there (we don't have kids!!) and it is now a favorite! The food isn't spectacular, but the view, ambiance, and experience is worth it. We plan to make sure to do it every visit now. Also, we loved getting the early ADR - before the park opens - so we could still make rope drop! We had a 8:10 ADR and the park opened at 9, and we left around 8:58 and were the first heading into Tomorrowland. - yes we were *those* people!!!

I feel that everyone should do it once. It is awesome to eat in the Castle.
If you have a little girl who is into princesses, than it can be priceless.
I thought the food was good, although I would never pay those prices for a breakfast anywhere else.
Good Luck

We have done this breakfast 4 times now, and I can hardly wait to do it again. My girls absolutly love being in the castle, and there's something very special about seeing Cindy in her home :goodvibes My girls were in princess heaven:cloud9: The food was okay, but we aren't really going for the food, we are going for the experience, the pictures, and providing wonderful memories for our girls.:goodvibes :goodvibes

I would recommend it!!! :thumbsup2

We ate there last week for breakfast for the first time and loved it!!! My DD5 absolutely loved the princesses and being "invited" to eat at Cindy's castle. My DS2 also loved it!!! He got a face full of kisses that lasted the rest of the day. We had a ADR at 8:05 and loved getting into the park early, we thought that time would be way too early, but as the week went on we realized the kids were getting up early anyways, so it wasn't a big deal to make it there for the ADR 8:05.

We think it's great. Every time has been a great experience for us. We've only had breakfast there but there's nothing like dining in the castle. Last time we were there was Christmas morning :santa: and it was awesome. Next time we're going to try lunch or dinner.

To answer your question....... Yes it's worth it.

Ha - DH and I ate there (we don't have kids!!)

DH and I went for breakfast there a few years ago - no kids too. DH had a great time letting me take pictures of him with all the princesses! From what I remember, the breakfast was good (Hey, I don't think I've ever had a spectacular breakfast) and there was a lot of it. I think everyone has to do it once.

It's sad that the thing I remember most about that experience is the waitress running after us as we left to thank us for the tip. I think we left 20% because she was great, but we thought it kind of strange she did that. The next year, my SIL (DH's youngest sister) got a job at RFC in DD, and told us how many people stiff them on tips or leave them a couple bucks...especially big tables. RFC doesn't (or didn't - not sure if they changed it) automatically add the tip on with big parties. But tips are what servers live on - my SIL's official checks, with every thing taken out of it, generally are for a couple bucks! So, now we understand why she came after us to thank us.

I just snagged CRT breakfast for Mother's Day! I'm so excited, as I wasn't able to get them for our other trip. And considering MK, the castle, and Cinderella are my favorite things about Disney I can't think of a better way to celebrate my Mother's Day :lovestruc

I was a bit reluctant to book breakfast since technically I wasn't getting ultimate value of my TS credits since it is a bit cheaper meal. But the lunch didn't sound appealing to our tastes, and while dinner sounded good the lack of characters didn't (and isn't that why we're going? LOL). Besides I booked a later 10 am bkfast so it will be more brunch to carry us through most of the day. I'm just so excited! My older DD said, "Mommy its like you don't even realize they're people dressed up in costumes :faint:

Took my 4 yo daughter last March and she loved it, so when we go back this March I'll take my 5 yo daughter.

I give CRT Breakfast a big :thumbsup2. We went last May with my 4 year old niece and the big joke by my mom was that she didn't know who to watch more Bella or me. So they just placed us both at the same end of the table. I loved both the experience and the food. The French toast was so yummy and there was a good spread of everything else. I know before hand we all questioned if it was worth the money (we paid OOP) but I'd say it was well worth it in the end imo.

Christine princess:

Is it worth it due to the expense? NO WAY!

Will we be doing it again this trip because my princess-crazed 4 yo DD thought it was one of the highlights of her trip? You better believe it.

Truthfully its no different then any other breakfast. You are paying for the princesses and atmosphere.

When our family visits WDW everyone gets to pick a place to eat, and DD picked CRT. I think we my try lunch this trip.

You are surely paying for the atmosphere and the Princesses! I feel that with it being the "Castle" that it should really hold up to the expectations! The food is average and when you are celebrating an occasion I think they should really acknowledge the person celebrating more than they do. That is disappointing! We did the Dinner last year and it was rush rush rush! Unreal! :sad2: This past December we did the Breakfast. For the 1st time experience I say go but it is not on my list as a repeat on return trips like other places. We thought the Princess interaction at Norway was way better! On a plus side you do get a nice photo with Cindy in the Lobby that is very nice and is included which it should be.

We went in November and truly enjoyed it. We were the first ones there for our 8:05 ADR and DD5 was choosen as the honoary princess of the day and she got to lead everyone up the stairs to open the restaurant. She got a sticker and we had confetti on our table. She beamed for the rest of the day and sung a little song "I'm the honoary princess of the day" everytime she was around another little girl. DD got a princess wand and DS got a sword that he still sleeps with at night. The food was okay, the princesses seemed rushed, you also get a great photo package with the meal. Overall, it was overpriced but I would do it again but maybe not every trip.
