CRT during Halloween party?

The only time my group could get a reservation at Cinderellas Royal Table during our stay is at 8:30 during Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party. We are super disappointed and not sure what to do. We have a group with several first timers ages 2-17, mostly girls. Any suggestions on just enjoying the Halloween party or missing a large portion (probably fireworks too) for dinner at CRT?

Keep looking for a better time. There's plenty of time and something will come up.

No way would I pay party prices then spend the time sitting in a restaurant.

I would definitely keep looking. I think Disney is charging a higher price for CRT dinner during the party as well. I could be wrong but I believe I saw that on one of the many Disney sites I read.

:welcome:to the disboards!

Keep looking online for an earlier time or a different day. Considering how expensive party tickets are and all the special activities during the party, it is definitely not worth missing up to 2 hours of party time to dine at CRT.

On a party day you can enter the Magic Kingdom with just your MNSSHP ticket starting at 4:00 so you could look for a reservation starting around 4:20 because that will give you time to get through the turnstile and get your wristband before heading to the castle.

Along with checking online for an earlier reservation, you can subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month which is stickied at the top of the Dining Reservations forum.

If that's true, that's awful. :(

Paying for dinner plus the party ticket is already highway robbery.

They should give a discount to those who bought party tickets!

Thank you so much! This is the only available time I could find for our entire stay. I guess we will skip CRT.

I definitely would just keep looking for a better time. We like to do BOG on our mvmcp, but I don't make the ADR any later than 5pm.. Preferably 4:30pm is what we like to do in order to enjoy the meal and relax before the party even starts. People cancel and just because it is the only time you could get now, doesn't mean something won't come up later. I would notpay for party tickets and then waste time at CRT - those tickets are expensive, and those 5 hours of party time are precious and go fast.

Keep looking, don't give up on it just yet - persistence pays off! Good luck.

The party is the best part of party night. I agree with the PP, the parade and the fireworks are NOT to be missed. Heck I watch the parade twice, it is my favorite part of the night

Food on party night is not important to us. CS is fine, its all about the special events :)

No way would I spend precious party time at a sit down dinner that will take some time.

I don't mind missing some party time at a restaurant, because we go more than once in a single trip. But if it was my only shot to go I'd eat counter service and watch the parade and fireworks.
