OKW and scooter storage?

We have been DVC since 2015, but our upcoming trip in June will be our first stay at OKW with my parents. My dad has has both of his knees replaced and needs a scooter to help him get around while at WDW. I understand that there are very few buildings at OKW with elevators. Where do we park his scooter if we get assigned a 2nd story villa that does not have an elevator?

I have heard from a few people on these boards who have been assigned an upper floor when they had a scooter, and the resort was full so the front desk offered to store their scooter at the front desk. That may work for some people, but for some it wouldn't work if the scooter-user can't walk at all. I'm in that category, and fortunately my request for a first floor villa has been requested every visit. However on the last visit we requested a HA villa because I've noticed an increase in the number of guests who don't get their first floor request granted. We got building #13, very convenient, and surprisingly very quiet.

We've had this several times with my mom. We just park the scooter on the ground floor near the outlet, typically close to the stairs. It's not blocking anyone's room access. Never had an issue.
