I currently have ADR's for Kona (MK day) and Spoodles (our MGM Day). I'm thinking of changing Spoodles to Beaches adn Cream and pay OOP, then change Kona to CRT Dinner (I called and got ADR). I'll be with DH, DS7 and DNeph. 5. Will they enjoy the castle? I've always wanted to eat there and this may be our last chance for a long, long time. What would you do?

Everyone needs to eat in the castle at least once - go for it!

I have heard rumurs that Cindy is not in the lobby (throne room) at dinner. Does anyone know for sure?

Go for it! They give the little boys swords for the "ceremony".

As for dinner, it's just the Fairy Godmother in the Throne Room.

I wanted to add that the reason for the change is that I changed our schedule and lost LeCellier, which is the only restaurant that DH wanted to go:rolleyes1 So, what do DH's think of CRT? The old menu w/prime rib? He'd be there in a heartbeat, but I"m not so sure about the new menu. I need to go look at what's on it again.

Anyway, it may help to show you our other ADR's:

Ohana Dinner
Ohana Character Bfast
Coral Reef
Teppenyaki

Cinderella is downstairs for all 3 meals and there is a photo package of the photo taken with her that is included with all 3 meals.

Dinner is different than breakfast and lunch in that there are no princesses circulating through the restaurant. There is just a brief show by Fairy godmother and Suzie and Perla. They do not circulate for photos/autographs.

We ate lunch at CRT and my 6 year old DS really liked it, especially the sword! of course, he broke it the day we got home!!

Okay, it's booked and we are going to go. I'm really excited. I think the boys will like it. DH is satisfied because he can have prime rib or lamb;)

Good decision. I think Dinner is perfect for boys because the princesses are not circulating around the restaurant.

I don't know...we did lunch with DS6. Snow White gave him a huge kiss on the cheek. I wasn't ready with the camera, so she gave him another that I could take a picture of. So he walked around with two bright red kisses on his cheeks :rotfl: and everyone kept asking him which princesses kissed him. He felt so special:love: .

Also, there were several princes at our lunch. Belle got two swords for herself (one in each hand) and challenged all the boys to sword fights. (Every boy had their individual "fight" with her as she made the rounds.)

I think eating in the castle was a great experience. I was happy to get an ADR at all because I made it about 30 days out. We eat there on our last day, so the anticipation really built up every time we passed the castle and thought about the day we would actually get to eat in there. I don't write this to try to change your mind about dinner versus lunch. I write this more for the benefit of other viewers so that they know that lunch is really good for the boys too!:thumbsup2 I think that the restaurant will be beautiful at night.
