CRT dilemma

When I initially made my ADRs 180 days out I did not even attempt to get CRT breakfast since I have two boys. I thought they wouoldn't want to eat with the princesses. Turns out I was wrong and my DS7 said ' mommy I like Cinderella and I really want to eat in the castle'. Who knew. Anyway by this point CRT bfast was not available, but I was eventually (after calling many times) able to get a dinner. I was happy with this because I figured that they would get to see/meet Cinderella, have a photo and eat in the castle. No biggie that the other princesses wouldn't be there. As a matter of fact I figured (convinced myself) that the bfast would have been too girlie (probably no boys) and they would be much happier with the dinner. Fast forward a bit, my DD19 has decided to join us. Now I think she would totally get a kick out of the castle dinner, but even more so at the bfast because of all the princesses (yes, I know she's 19, but it would still be fun to get the photos with them). I figured it was too late anyway, so dinner would have to do.
Guess what? Phoned this morning and was able to get breakfast for the 5 of us on the same day as the dinner. How very lucky! But now I just don't know what to do? Should I keep both? Will this be CRT overload? I wish they were at least on different days. Now I wonder if we do the bfast and it's kinda mayhem and too 'girlie' will my boys feel out of place? I feel kinda greedy keeping both when it's a very hard ressie to get. I'm nervous to give up either, because if bfast is not what I had hoped for then at least I can do dinner and get that experience. But if I cancel bfast and dinner isn't what I had expected, then I'll regret not having done the bfast. KWIM?

Any advice?

Well I will give you my 2 cents and I think that it is pretty wise, Okay well first you are so very Lucky:flower3: but if I were you I would cancel Dinner and do breakfast this way you will make everyone happy and be the true fairy God Mother one wish you will have fullfilled eating at the castle, 2 you would have fullilled eating and seeing Cinderella 3 you will see your daughter and son with all the beautiful princesses and will be able to take many great photos,Your work is done and you will have finished breakfast by 12:00:) with no rush to get home;) I think that your children would like for you to maybe work some different:wizard: magic that night! also if you decide to cancel your dinner or breakfast it would be so great for you to share your pixiedust: on the cancel or trade thread also if you want to keep both and do them on different days see if someone will trade you that thread is wonderful, someone on that thread posted when she was going to cancel her CRT breakfast the time and date and the party size and I was able to call the dinner line and told them to check this date and they were like boy are you lucky and I was like yes! so whatever you do you guys have a great time also another great place is Princess Story Book Breakfast!

Bf and I have now done both the breakfast and lunch, and neither have been too girly for him. By our second time eating there he was getting pictures with all the princesses as well. I really like the experience of eating in the castle overlooking the park. I have no insight into which would be better for your family, I guess I would look more at the rest of your day and see which fits in better. You will enjoy either of them!

We have only done the breakfast because we love it sooo much. At the breakfast (and this may be the same at dinner, someone else will have to tell you), the boys will get swords and the girls get wands. There are always boys there when we have gone. The food is very good at breakfast (I don't normally like breakfast but I do love it here!) I think eveyone will be happy no matter what, and don't forget the beautiful photos you will have to cherish forever.
Have fun, you are making me hungry thinking about it... but we will be there in 2 months!!!! Yeah!!!!

My DS8 really enjoyed eating at the castle. They gave him a sword, and the girls gots wands. It was really cool to sit in the castle and look out over Fantasyland while eating breakfast.

Is Cinderella at dinner in the castle? Everything I read says it is hosted by the Fairy Godmother. It would be a shame to go to see Cinderella, and then miss her.

Cinderella is at B,L,D the other princesses are only at Breakfast,& Lunch hey they couldnt call it CRT if the main star Cinderella was not there she has to be there rain snow:)Ike or hannah

Hopefully someone else can chime in here, but I believe Cinderella is only a greeter at the dinner, and the main character at Dinner is the Fairy Godmother. You see Cinderella before you go in and get a picture, and that's it. If your DS is planning to see her during the meal, then definitely get the breakfast.

Look through some of the dining report or trip report threads if you can - I know I read about some disappointed folks with no Cinderella at dinner, but I don't have time to look for them now.

We were there for breakfast in 2006, and Cinderella was the greeter then, also. Maybe it changed since then. :confused3 We did 1900 Park Fare last year for dinner, and Cindy, the prince, and the mice were visiting the tables, and Fairy Godmother was greeting.

had no interest in getting his photo with Cinderella.. but loved the sword and the experience of eating in the castle. The experience itself is not "girly". If the princesses get a "no thank you" vibe from the boys they will just focus on your DD.

Stick with breakfast and find somewhere "manly" for dinner. :)

Do breakfast!! Just a very magical start to a day at MK. You will get 2 photo pkgs if you have more than 4 people (at all three meals) and this is a plus in our family (Me, DH, DD4, DD7, and DD9).

We have done all three also. The Breakfast and Lunch have the princesses that you can get your pictures with and I have never seen Cinderella upstairs only at the downstairs picture spot. My boys loved getting the swords and have a blast meeting the princesses. Dinner was nice but it was only the mice and the fairy god mother. That I can remember. Nobody signed autographs and the pictures were done quickly at our table. I think the mice thought my boys didn't care which was a little disappointing.

Thank you so much for your input! I guess I will thank my lucky stars I got the breakfast and will opt for something else for dinner. I hope I can get something good at this late date!

Now I need suggestions for a new ADR.........off to start another thread!

I'm was wondering if anyone knows - If one of my boys wants a wand instead of a sword, would they let him or not? TIA!

Yes they will. Just ask. My daughter wanted a sword last Jan and we got it. Then my husband got a sword as well....Then the fencing began....:rotfl:

I've had dinner at CRT a couple of times and it is hosted by the Fairy Godmother. You can have your picture with Cindy downstairs (my daughter the sword girl was too cool to stand with Cinderella so it was me and the hubby) but she doesn't make an appearance at dinner.

We've never been able to get breakfast at CRT. I would keep that if I had the choice.
