CRT breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I know this has been asked before, but I haven't found anything recent. We are hoping to get reservations at CRT for my daughters 4th birthday and wanted to know if breakfast, lunch or dinner is best. It seems like a lot of people try to get the breakfast one but we will be using our dining plan and I'm not sure if 2 credits are worth it for breakfast. Any input wouldn't be helpful!

I have been to CRT for both lunch and dinner, and liked both meals. I would look at the menu as well as your plans and choose with works best for your family. When we wanted to stay for the afternoon parade lunch was a great choice because it gave us a chance to relax beforehand. WE have also chosen dinner when we wanted to be there for Wishes.

It is important to remember that any meal at CRT is a $20 meal and the rest of your cost is castle+princesses. If you try to make the food "worth" what you are paying, it won't ever be.

We're doing breakfast, but paying oop. It's not a good value to use two dining credits imo.

I agree that 2 credits for breakfast is probably not a great use of your DDP. I would pick a lunch or dinner time that will work best with your DD's schedule. I know when my DS was that young, he couldn't last all day in the parks, so we typically would do a TS lunch after a morning of rides and attractions and then head back to our resort to rest.

We paid OOP for a prepark opening breakfast on our first park day. It was the perfect way to start our trip! My dd5 loved meeting all the princesses, we got incredible photos in front of the castle, and the stuffed french toast was delicious! It is the only meal that we are repeating for our upcoming trip! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!!

One thing to consider it the time of year you visit and your family's need for rest breaks. We find that lunch is a great time during the hotter months. We get a break and feel refreshed before returning to the park. That being said, we are having breakfast this time because my husband likes the french toast and because it is less expensive. We are visiting during peak time. The food is not worth the cost but we enjoy the atmosphere. I envy you taking your little one. It has been a loooong time since we have taken a little one, but those were the best times! Have a great vacation!

I've done all three, and I've found breakfast to be the best meal, but dinner the best experience if you're in the castle while the fireworks are happening.

We had a really great dinner there last month. We have eaten all of the different meals almost every trip and it was the best one we have had there so far. We thought the food improved dramatically over the previous year.

We are typically the commando-type travellers and have only done CRT breakfast with a before park open ADR.

We always pay out of pocket. And because it costs so much money we find the ability to get into the park before open to be something we are paying for with our meal. It really is so worth it to be able to walk down Mainstreet with little crowds and be finished with breakfast before the rides open. But only if you can get an early enough reservation that you don't have to rush.

Our first time we went was in 2011 when they still had a family-style breakfast. Last year we did breakfast again and we were able to select our own individual meal. We really enjoyed the new menu!
